We are a block from the ferry to Newfoundland and across the street from the bus terminal. For travellers touring Cape Breton, we are at the hub, within an hours drive to the start of the Cabot Trail, the city of Sydney with all its entertainment events and casino, Glace Bay's Savoy Theatre and Miners Museum, the Fortress of Louisburg, East Bay the home of Rita MacNeils Tea Room, many golf courses and many of the festivals that are part of the summer events in Cape Breton. New North Sydney Arena and new Culture and Heritage Centre will add to the pleasure of those visiting the area as well as the Sydney Mines Fossil Museum. Don't miss events associated with Keltic Colours and the Bartown Festival. Thursday night jam session in Bras D'Or also adds to those who enjoy fiddles and other Celtic instruments. The town offers some excellent cuisine and often reservations are required in the summer season. The property is approx. 150 years old and has a certain charm associated with it time period. All rooms are different as this is a home not just an institution and most of all I love sharing the experiences of my guests and on the porch in the evening or at the morning breakfast many friendships have been formed and travel stories exchanged.

Three of these rooms have pull out couches and others may be able to accommodate cots or playpens (available if needed at an extra cost). Each room is decorated in different styles but all are developed to favor the period the house was built. Pier 1 is the only one with a tub and all bathrooms are ensuite.
