      From the Central Station it is only a 5 minutes walk to Amsterdam Central b&b. Coming out from the Central Station, you walk straight ahead onto the street in front of you, this is the Damrak. Walking down this street you see a small harbour/canal on your left hand side. After a few hundred meters this harbour ends. At the end of the harbour there is a small street to the left. Turn left here, because this is our street, the Oudebrugsteeg. Walking down this street you will surely notice the pub the Grasshopper in front of you on the left side of the street. Just a few houses after that also on the left side you will find a door with housenumber 6. This is our entrance. Use the top bell (there are two bells) and we will open the door for you. (If you get lost on your way here, just call us and we will guide you).

    The innkeeper, Cees, was available and very helpful. However, apartment was not as represented in the photos on the internet which showed a well cared place. It was in poor condition, with stained carpets, damaged wall etc.

    I was there a few year ago, very good location, good breakfast and also friendly reception. Perfect for a couple and young people.

    We stayed in Sept 2009; the room was nice and clean. Breakfast was self serve but full of great choices. Located right in the heart of center city, you can walk everywhere. The place is quaint and quiet even though it is in the middle of everything. The stairs are steep and kind of tight so if that's a problem, beware. Otherwise a great place to stay, computer with internet access onsite, travel books in the kitchen, a good value, and Cee's is very helpful host!!

    This place was rented for us as a gift; it was the best gift ever! We loved every moment it was such a retreat; can't wait to stay again!
