We stayed for three nights with two couples and it was perfect. Marianne had graciously allowed us to change our reservations due to a ferry accident. We shopped for groceries at the grocery store about 10 km back toward Oslo and were able to cook breakfasts and dinners in the well-stocked kitchen. There were lots of condiments and staples so we only had to buy main ingredients. This was much less expensive than eating in Oslo. We did laundry and relaxed on large chairs overlooking the lake. We would highly recommend to travelers with out without children. The commute to Oslo was very easy.

We stayed just one night and it was a pity. We expected a room and it was a house, new and cosy, very clean; it could have accomodated 6 people (and 1 child). The bathroom had sauna and jacuzzi and the kitchen fully furnished. We had a very good dinner, prepared for us by our hosts. They are wonderful people.

We had an amazing time with Marianne and Roy in their lovely cottage!! The cottage is bigger than some houses so everything you need is there!! The environment is fantastic if you love nature like we do! The lake is perfect to cool down in warm days which even Norway has!! What a nice surprise. We never met such hospitality before!! You can ask whatever you want, Marianne and Roy will help you and you definately feel home from the first second! There is one crazy biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig dog but even our daughter that is afraid of animals became friends with that big sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet animal! Lots of kisses for Marianne and Roy and we certainly come back!!

We absolutely loved staying here at this B&B! It was so great to spend our first two nights of our honeymoon in this quiet remote location outside of Oslo. We hiked around the lake which took about 2 hours and enjoyed playing with the their giant Great Dane Oofa! The house was large and had everything we needed, indoor hottub, large kitchen, amazine fireplace. All very great. I would definitely stay here again! Very friendly Norwegian owners too...very welcoming.

We stayed here one night during our Norway road trip. We are a family with a teenager and a puppy and found the accommodations ideal. Our dog enjoyed playing with the gentle giant Great Dane and bathing in the lake, and our teen had the upstairs loft to himself, where he was able to plug in his Nintendo 3DS and relax in the ship style bed. The kitchen was well equipped enough for us to make dinner (bring in your own food) and the breakfast served on the patio was excellent. My husband particularly liked the shimp salad. As a Midwesterner I found the lake setting reminiscent of Wisconsin or Minnesota, so I felt right at home. Our hosts were relaxed and friendly. Highly recommended.

When looking for a place to stay in Norway we first looked at places in Oslo. What a mistake that would have been! Thankfully we found this beautiful cabin just outside the city. With a whirlpool tub and sauna in the bathroom and a fireplace in the living room we definitely stayed warm. The fire was even lit in the fireplace when we arrived so we could relax and enjoy the cabin. There was anything you could possibly want for breakfast too. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay in your cabin! The Holmgren's

We have enjoyed the lovely and separate house, the beautiful nature around, and Roy have given us very good advices, which we could use over our trip to the North. The house design is an alloy of wealth and taste. It is simple but very practical. Thanks a lot.

When we booked this B&B we didn't expect that it could be so great. We were two, a couple searching for something romantic and peaceful to get some rest, far away from the excitement of Paris where we live, and we found it. Really nice house with an outstanding environment, perfect and charming hosts, Marianne and Roy who are so kind and here for you when you need something, made this stay a special memory for us. And if you like big, crazy and adorable dogs, this place is for you. The description says "Come as a Guest, and Leave as a Friend!", you couldn't be more exact :)

We stayed with Marianne for 2 days in the beginning of August 2011. We had a lovely stay. We thought we would just get a room but we got a complete house! All the pictures you see on the website is from the b&b location! Amazing. Marianne was very friendly and hospitable. The travel to Oslo is very reasonable. Since the b&b has a fully operational kitchen you can cook your own meals and save on dining in a restaurant. The location is beautiful and we will definitely try to return and stay longer than just 2 days! Good luck with the b&b Marianne! Regards, Marcel, Marlies and Mickey from the Netherlands

Oslo is very expensive but the b&b was a great value considering the house the service and the incredible location, nice walks in the forest and the lake nearby. The house located out of Oslo in the woods and you need to take the bus or the car to get to Oslo. The house was clean , comfortable and very well equipped, we really enjoyed it.Marianne and Roy were always willing to help. Hope to return some day.
