Very nice Inn in a lovely, very quiet area. Restaurant and food is outstanding. We stayed at a small building next to the Inn. The room was small, but fine. The bathroom could need an update. Otherwise, we can clearly recommend the Snow Village Inn.
I'd ;have clicked outstanding on all these categories, but I couldn't get the button to work. This is an off-the-beaten path, quiet, elegant inn. The innkeepers are friendly and attentive. The breakfasts are outstanding, as was the dinner I had. Beautiful grounds. I plan to return.
Our room was off the back deck area (104) which was convenient to the hot tub, fire pit, and parking. There was no closet in the room, but lots of hooks on which you could use the supplied hangers. Bathroom was spotless, bed was comfortable. The glistening pool was open due to unseasonably warm weather which was a true bonus. The location of the hotel in relation to "central" N. Conway was perfect and allowed for walking to dinner.
Best kept secret! We are so fortunate that we decided to stay a bit out of town. The property is truly amazing and well maintained. We enjoyed sitting in the Adirondack chairs and taking in the beauty during sunsets and for stargazing. Jen, Kevin, Karen and Caitlyn all made us feel quite welcome and we thank you for squeezing us in for dinner on Saturday night if Labor Day weekend at the last minute. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, tidy room and beautiful breakfasts and dinners, too. Make sure to try the lemonade vodka with fresh Foss Mountain blueberries-yum! The oysters are pretty spectacular, too. I forgot to ask how the cookies left inside the room upon arrival are so fluffy? I would love the inside scoop on that! We are hoping to rent out an entire building for an inter-generational family retreat next summer if you will have us back! Thank you for an amazing long weekend that we wish we could've extended. Sincerely, Stella and crew!.
We chose the bernerhof as part of our honeymoon trip. We wished we had booked two nights. The home is breathtaking, everything from the antique family heirlooms to the 2 year old pup that leads you on a wooded walking path, it's perfection. Our room had an extremely comfortable bed and a two person hot tub. We are big people and we comfortably could enjoy the whirlpool tub. The breakfast was very good. Everything was very tasty and we were so happy we called in our way back through to stay again. Steve and his wife have done a great job. We highly recommend! We will definitely be back. It's also not far from town and the scenic rail. Great location, beautiful home and run with extreme care. We loved it!
I can't say anything negative about this place - the owners were so helpful on helping my plan my stay in North Conway. They had great recommendations on restaurants. I appreciated how personable they were. I had to leave early on my departure and they even insisted on getting up early to cook me breakfast - that was WAY above the call of duty. This place was very comfortable, quiet, spacious and clean. Thank you!
A wonderful and relaxing inn! Steve was very welcoming upon my arrival - I felt like I had an instant best friend! I enjoyed a locally-crafted, delicious brown ale from the darling Black Bear Pub, and sitting by the outside fire while meeting other guests was the perfect day's end to my post-dinner arrival. After a full day of hiking, I thoroughly enjoyed the cooking class with farm-to-table cuisine - what a 5-course feast...and Steve made sure the wine was flowing! The next day, I was pampered with a message after another full day of hiking. The room was colored in tones of blue, with beautiful stained-glass windows, allowing for just the right amount of nature's light. If you're wondering what to do during the day or evening, Steve always has some great suggestions. My room was quite spacious, offering every ammenity! The breakfasts were divine, but "Clare's Wild Blueberry Pancakes" were heavenly! Bernerhof caters to your every whim! I was sorry to leave after 3 nights...
There isn't a reason I wouldn't go back to Cranmore Inn. From the second I walked in the door it was apparent that a great choice was made. The staff friendly and always smiling. The rooms were up to date, clean and simply great. If you're looking for a place to stay, hit up Cranmore Inn. You won't be let down.
This is our 7th or 8th visit to the Buttonwood and it never disappoints. Bill and Paula are the perfect hosts and know exactly when to come to the fore or fade into the background. Through our many visits, we have come to regard them not only as our hosts, but our friends. It is a great location, away from the busyness of North Conway but close to everything that you need for a great get away. Highly recommend this Inn.
Steve and the Bernerhof Inn made our mini vacation to the White Mountains an unforgettable experience. The huge room with a big 2 person whirlpool tub was sparkling clean, well furnished and very comfortable. The cooked to order hot breakfasts with other guests were delicious and included 4 choices, something you don't often get in a B&B. The gatherings around the campfire at night made for great conversations with other guests and the convenient location near North Conway, Mt Washington, Ski mountains, etc. etc was perfect. We loved our 2 day stay that included one of the traditional Farm to Table cooking classes with a local chef in a group setting. The sour cream ice cream, fruit tart, Salmon appetizer, organic Chicken and special salad dressing were fun to make and delicious for our dinner after the class. What FUN!!! Did I mention we saw a Moose on Rt. 302 This place is a home run!!!
Bill and Paula are such wonderful hosts - they really do make you feel like you are at home. They were also incredibly generous and really made a special occasion weekend even better. They rooms are immaculate and stocked with everything you could ever need during your stay. The breakfast and treats were also delicious. We recommend the inn to anyone and wouldn't hesitate to return!
The inn is very homey and the owner is friendly and a good cook! I had a homeade oatmeal cookie when I checked in, a nice unexpected touch. My room was very nice, bed was extremely comfortable and had a really relaxing night. Breakfast was excellent the next morning and I really wish I could have stayed an extra night. I would definitely return and recommend to friends.
From the first phone call to the first time we saw the building to the tour we loved the Inn. Then we saw the room, AMAZING, my girlfriend loved it. The staff was very nice and inviting. Steve was eager to talk motorcycles and showed us a great route to take away from traffic. No doubt in my mind this was the place to purpose, and the staff was very helpful in making it perfect, we will definitely be making this an annual getaway.
Eddie and Christopher are wonderful hosts! We fell in love as soon as we walked through the doors. Eddie greeted us and gave us a tour of the inn. He showed us to our room and left us to enjoy our stay. The inn is walking distance to downtown so we were able to find a wonderful restaurant that we could walk to from the inn. We went to dinner and when we came back there was a nice cozy fire outside in the fire pit on the patio. We grabbed a bottle of wine and enjoyed ourselves alongside Eddie and another couple staying at the inn. The absolute perfect atmosphere! In the morning, we went down for breakfast (made to order!) before we started our day. Everything was absolutely perfect! We would recommend anyone to stay at the Cranmore Inn. You won't be disappointed!
Our goals for a two night stay in the White Mountains was to get a feel for the area, drive up Mount Washington and ...see a Moose. The choice of a B&B or INN was secondary. Now that we accomplished all our goals we realize that The Bernerhof was the best choice in a remote home we could have chosen. The breakfasts were spectacular, the room was sparkling clean, large and had an excellent bed with and enormous whirlpool tub in a huge bathroom. The ability to sit around a fire pit at night sharing stories with other guests made us feel completely welcome and at home. As a bonus we took the famous cooking class with a local chef that included a gourmet dinner at the end that we had prepared along with a nice white wine to help us in our cooking chores. Steve and his family know how to run this place and next time and I guarantee there will be a next time we'll use the Spa Services also located on the property. And yes, we saw a Moose about 20 miles away on Rt. 302.
We had the most fabulous stay at the Bernerhof Inn. Steve made us so welcome. Our rooms was so comfortable. The food was scrumptious and so fresh. Great walks in the area. Would definitely visit again.
Our party of six couples took over the carriage house for 4 days of bridge, hiking and shopping. Kevin, Jen and the team were a joy to work with from planning to checkout. Wonderful hearty breakfasts and highest quality dinners in the dining room. We just can't say enough about this gem of an inn. Highly recommend
We would particularly like to complement Steve on his hospitality. He went out of his way to make us feel at home. We felt very welcomed and truly enjoyed our stay. The room and common areas were very comfortable. The honor bar was a nice touch and allowed us to relax after long days exploring the White Mountains. Breakfast was just right and the flexible seating times were very convenient. Steve's recommendations about what to see and where to eat were spot on. We also enjoyed casual conversations with Steve on a variety of topics including his pickle and beet canning methods. We will certainly return on our next visit to the area.
What a stay. Our host Rob was incredibly friendly. He helped us with a great local hike. The room was great and the breakfasts to die for. Will return. Highest recommendation possible.
The room was very nice, bathrooms in Carriage house to be updated in Fall 2015 which will be great. The property is very pretty with lots of flowers and apple trees. The restaurant food was excellent along with the extremely wonderful waitstaff - best service ever!
This B&B is ideally located, a few steps away from shops and restaurants. We were lucky to be upgraded in a 2-room appartment which was really nice : well decorated and very comfortable. Breakfast is fine. The inkeepers are welcoming and do their best to satisfy you.
