Augustus T Zevely Inn
In the heart of Old Salem is The Augustus T. Zevely Inn, built in 1844, and restored as an inn in 1994 with meticulous attention to historic accuracy. The renovation was overseen by co-owner Tom Lantry, who also operates the Thomas Bond House in Philadelphia's Independence National Park, an equally historic structure and a long time reader favorite. Rooms are furnished with Old Salem collection furnishings, based on originals found in local museums and private homes. AAA 3 diamond & MOBIL 2 star rated. Conde Nast Johansens recommended Inn. Selected by Heritage Travel in the top 25 historic inns & hotels in America. In April Comair magazine, select in top 10 historic inns.
