Fabulous room! Shawn is a wonderful host. Breakfast in our room was superb! We'll be back next year.

After having stayed in many B&Bs all over the country for many years, The Yellow House stands out among the best. We have stayed in two different suites and have loved both. Shawn is the perfect host and the breakfasts and snacks are wonderful. We also like the location, very close to the Blue Ridge Parkway and Waynesville. We travel to this area often and look forward to staying at the Yellow House again very soon.

My husband and I had a delightful respite from demands of daily life, work, etc. in our 3 day stay at The Yellow House! We absolutely loved the beautiful and tranquil scenery of the surrounding area and our room accommodations!! We stayed in the Benitatxell Suite at the Pond House and so enjoyed the wonderful views of the two ponds, upper and lower. Being served a delicious breakfast at our little table in our suite with its grand view of such lovely and tranquil scenery was quite a memory-maker! Great service by all the staff was an added plus.

The Yellow House was a perfect getaway to relax in a spacoius room with great views of a lake and brook in the mountains fo Wayneswille, NC. The loaction was also convienent to town and would reccomend for future stays!

My wife and I have stayed at The Yellow House several times and have always had a great experience. We always leave wanting to return for another stay. This time we were celebrating our 37th wedding anniversary. Room was great, service excellent, staff was very friendly and helpful, and food was very good. Looking forward to returning for a stay soon.

I love staying at the Yellow House. Waynesville is one of my getaways from it all and this B&B offers the comfortable, quiet rooms and very yummy breakfast. The staff bends over backwards to help you. Highly recommend it, but please leave me a room.

We returned to The Yellow House this month and had another wonderful visit. We brought friends this time who enjoyed it as much as we do. We took advantage of the DVD player and picked out a great movie from the many choices. Loved our cheese and cracker tray, tasty tea and yummy cookies. Our room was so cozy and warm with the fireplace going. Breakfast was delicious, and we were fascinated watching all the birds outside while we ate. Shawn is the perfect host, and we can't wait to come for another stay!!

A wonderful relaxing weekend away in our very comfortable and spacious room. We were welcomed very warmly by the inn keeper and given a tour of the property and taken to our suite. Wow what a wonderful place stay. The breakfast and early evening snacks were delicious and the service was superb. I highly recommend this wonderful jewel.

The comfort of the rooms, the food, the friendliness of the innkeeper and the staff make The Yellow House on Plott Creek our favorite B&B. Any season of the year is the right time for a visit. But our favorite time is late spring. Shawn's gourmet breakfast served on the big front porch is one of the most relaxing times you will ever enjoy.

A lovely old house with wonderful service and a friendly staff who make you feel pampered, and appreciated. Shawn is a terrific Inn Keeper; Susan would be proud.

My Husband and I had such an incredible time at The Yellow House. Shawn, the Innkeeper, was so gracious and knowledgable about the Waynesville area. After an awesome breakfast, we spent the day hiking and driving the nearby mountains, enjoying the waterfalls and views. Dinner, at a nearby restaurant that Shawn recommended, was really tasty and reasonable. We will definitely be back. Thanks for a great weekend.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at the Yellow House.. The hospitality was terrific, the food delicious, and the room quite romantic. My only negative--which isn't much--is the dried floral arrangements! The decor is very slightly shabby-- which didn't detract from the quiet beauty of the view and the comforting ambiance of our room. We liked our stay at the Yellow House and would return without hesitation.

We had a great time at The Yellow House! We have stayed there several times and have always enjoyed it! The food is amazing, and so is the hospitality!

Shawn and his staff provide a great place to just relax and get away. The service was just right - available as needed and in no way intrusive. The food was excellent whether at breakfast or the afternoon wine and cheese. Our room was large and the bed was comfortable. There is plenty of reading material, movies and even a laptop if needed. There is a good selection of shops and restaurants in town and you are close to Asheville if the mood strikes.

My stay at The Yellow House was a delight. The room was comfortable and well appointed and Shawn and the staff were attentive and genuinely friendly. Besides the fabulous breakfast prepared by Shawn, what I enjoyed were the amenities in the Butler's Pantry which were available to guests during the hours when staff was not present. Being able to fix a cup of tea, enjoy a freshly baked cookie, or a sip some port in comfortable surroundings made it all the more pleasant.

We have been to The Yellow House several times, stayed in different rooms/suites, and always have a wonderful stay.

Our room at the Yellow House was outstanding! I highly recommend it. The location is beautiful. The room was quiet and comfortable. There was no view from the room to speak of, but the setting is lovely and very scenic. The thing that stood out most about our Yellow House experience is that they seemed to have anticipated every need you might have. When we arrived, we checked in earlier than we had expected and before regular check-in time. The owner was most gracious and said "come on it"! We very much appreciated that. He was ready and prepared for us. We hadn't eaten lunch yet. Our thought was to check in and then explore a little and have lunch. Yellow House had provided a "cheese tray" for us in our fridge. So, we had no need to go find lunch! The cheese tray, complete with some sausages was perfect. That added to the value of our stay. We had been told that there is nothing to do in Waynesville and that we would need to go to other towns to find something to do. NOT TRUE! Waynesville is a wonderful little town. Full of nice shops and good restaurants. We spent the entire afternoon just in downtown and really enjoyed ourselves. You will not be sorry that you visited Waynesville, NC and stayed at the Yellow House.

Our room was more than comfortable, the hospitality both warm and inviting, the food was incredible and Waynesville is a gem for a get away. Shawn was exteremely helpful with directions and restaurant selection as well as hikes. Will definitely return there.

We were looking for a break from everyday life so it was nice NOT to have a TV or telephone in our room. The room was very comfortable and well furnished. We specifically liked the walk-in shower in the Kinsale suite. The host, Shawn, was a delight.

If you are looking for a beautiful, inspiring, restful vacation, then Yellow House Inn in Waynesville is your best choice. We had a glorious time there with breath taking views, comfy beds, romantic room, and the best service we have had anywhere. The breakfast was so delicious and the host, Shawn, spoiled us with both the food and the service. Conveniently located to the Blue Ridge Parkway and the enjoyable town of Waynesville, you can do as much or as little as you want. Waynesville has great little shops to explore and wonderful restaurants..a great surprise from a small town. Don't miss the Sweet Onion for dinner! We can't wait to return to The Yellow House Inn.

Beautiful, Clean. Lots of extras--anything you want is available, coffee, soft drinks, fruit, snacks. Really felt at home without the chores!

Yellow House is a beautiful, charming, serene place to stay. My wife & I try to make it over to the Waynesville area a couple of times a year & this is the nicest place we have found. Inkeeper Shawn is particularly helpful and will accomodate most every need. We give it 5 stars.

What a great place to relax & enjoy. The food, accommodations, and staff were exceptional. Great location -- close to Blue Ridge Parkway and downtown Waynesville. Afternoon refreshments & snacks available 24/7. Looking forward to returning to enjoy fireplace & cozy robes.

The innkeeper, Sean, was quite helpful and gave us a lot of tips about the area. He also offered us ways to save money if we returned. The rooms were fabulous. Some don't have TV's, but the central dining area does, so you are not completely secluded. Waynesville is a nice place to shop and Asheville is just a few minutes down the road. Easy drive. We loved it and would definitely return.

My husband and I have been staying at the Yellow House for the past 6 years and it just doesn't get any better !! Sean cooks a wonderful hot breakfast delivered to your room each morning. The rooms are very comfortable - we prefer the rooms that are not directly in the house, the Windward side and the one next to it which is bigger. Everything is outstanding !!!

The house was beautiful - it was clean and the staff was extremly helpful and friendly. The breakfast was incredibly good and they took the time to serve it on our porch. The wine and appetizer at 5:00 every day was a pleasant surprise as well. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Bien que je crois que chacun a le droit de coter nous en fonction de leur opinion, je suis déçu de la "contre-vérité" à propos de l'occupation de notre chambre. J'ai envoyé des courriels à l'invité deux monts avant leur arrivée que la chambre serait accueillir que trois, mais qu'ils ne pouvaient mettre leur jeune fils sur le canapé s'ils voulaient accueillir quatre personnes dans la salle. Staff and Service they provided were as good as it gets. Breakfast was a wonderful experience. I had WIFI issues in upstairs room and front porch of the house, but great reception in back even down by the pond. Suggest they check their WIFI coverage as we now sit on the front porch with our iPad to read the newspaper.

Our 2nd visit with our Scottish Terriers. Very relaxing and enjoyable. The breakfasts were outstanding, and the staff is very friendly. We enjoyed sitting on the porch by the pond listening to the frogs and katiedids as well as walking the grounds. A beautiful place to stay in a quaint town in the mountains.

My husband and I enjoyed our 41st anniversary at the Yellow House. It was very romantic. No phones, no TV -- the breakfast was fabulous. Looking forward to returning to The Yellow House soon.

My wife and I were looking for restful vacation. The Yellow House was wonderful and is located in a beautiful area of North Carolina.

This was our 2nd time visiting the Yellow House in Waynesville, NC. This time we made the trip up from Florida just to stay there! There are no downsides to this B&B- Shawn the inkeeper is fantastic, the food is delicious, and the rooms are great.

My husband and I had such a fantastic time at The Yellow House! It was so quiet and comfortable and welcoming. The only complaint my husband had was that it was too quiet! We are used to 3 loud children and it was weird to have simple peace and quiet. The surroundings left nothing to be desired. They truly have thought of everything and made you feel perfectly at home but in a much more peaceful setting. Thank you so much for a much needed retreat from our busy life! We look forward to coming back in the not too distant future.

Stayed in one of the rooms at the Pond House and loved it. Clean and well furnished. Breakfasts were great and more than enough. Very quiet yet close to town. Excellent service! I will be back.

We spent 2 nights at The Yellow House in the Kinsale suite, and it rained almost the whole time. After venturing to the big house for a delicious breakfast on the front porch each morning (the strawberry/cream cheese-stuffed French toast is marvelous!), we stayed in bed, read books, and were lulled into long naps by the sound of rain on the roof and water flowing into the upper pond. It was perfect.

Wonderful stay in a good location. Stayed in the montecito room which was very nice. House was beautiful and nicely landscaped. Breakfasts were perfect and the town of Waynesville was very enjoyable.

We really enjoyed our stay. We hope to return. Waynesville is a great place to visit and we really enjoyed the Frog's Leap Pub as well.

The Carriage House room is lovely, as is the rest of the beautifully landscaped and maintained property. Service and food were both excellent. You will not walk away from the breakfast table hungry or disappointed. Shawn knows the area well and has great suggestions for dining and day trips. We'll be back!

The Yellow House was a bit of heaven located in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina! Our host, Shawn, was the perfect combination of accomodating, friendly and fountain of information on everything from where to eat, places to see, and things to do! Our suite was beyond any expectations we had - roomy, beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and yes, we used the gas fireplace in June (just for fun!) We were served the most delicious breakfast and had a choice of where to have it served and the time! We made fast friends at the 5:00 happy hour - enjoying wine, cheese, etc. along with great converation with other guests! This experience was a l0 - and there is no doubt we will be calling Shawn for another weekend at heaven in the Yellow House! Susan Delaney

My husband and I needed a relaxful getaway after a stressful year of work and taking taking care of critically ill parents. Our stay at The Yellow House was just what the doctor ordered. The Inn itself is beautifully situated on a hill and is very welcoming. Everything from the nice staff and the delicious food made our stay more pleasant. Thanks Shawn for giving us such good tips on where to drive and hike in order to enjoy the countryside and the mountains. We would highly recommend this Inn and we hope to return again soon!

We had everything we could possibly need or want. The rooms are clean and spacious. The breakfast is to die for, more of a brunch than breakfast. The fireplaces through out the house give it a natural warmth. Great get away. I will return.

We had a wonderful visit in Waynesville during our visit to the Asheville/Biltmore area. It was an easy drive to Asheville. We stayed in the E'Staing Suite and we had a beautiful view. Enjoyed breakfast in our room each morning and it was delicious. I would highly recommend a stay at The Yellow House.

My husband and I were looking for a Bed and Breakfast in the Mountains close to Asheville, NC. We chose The Yellow House on Plott Creek Rd. In Waynesville NC. We were not disappointed. We stayed in The Benitatxell Suite in The Pond House overlooking one of the two ponds on the property. It was the perfect setting to relax and rewind and rejuvenate. Shawn, Connie, Angie and all of the staff were so kind and supportive. Our breakfast was delivered each morning. We ate it each day overlooking the beautiful, peaceful pond. At night in the Main House delicious cheese and snacks were offered. Shawn baked a different cookie each day in the early afternoon. Shawn's cooking exceeded our expectations. Everyone was kind. We were only planning on a two day stay, but stayed 3 instead. We are glad that we did. Don & Christy We are looking forward to visiting again very soon!

Everything was great, as it was the last time we visited. Shawn and the rest of the staff make you feel so welcome, and make every effort to accomodate you. My husband and I stayed here Nov 4&5 2011 and absolutely loved the facility. Everything about it was so pleasant. The feel of The Yellow House, grounds and our room. We stayed in the Savannah Suite and when I checked in he informed us there was no TV in the room but one in the main house. But the room and everything about it was so nice we didn't even miss the tv. Shawn and Connie was such a pleasure to work with and get to know. My husband and I plan to make this a tradition to stay at The Yellow House. We had a wonderful massage in the room and just enjoyed the views and relaxed. Very clean, large room. Well furnished - lots of small tables to place things on. B'fast was excellent and served in the room!! Unexpected treat! No phone - no tv - no internet was not expecting this, but didn't miss the distractions, just wasn't prepared to go cold turkey on all three (besides - we did have cell phones). Will definitely recommend it to others!

This was our second time at the Yellow House and both my husband and I felt at home both times. Very warm and friendly folks that run the B&B. Going back next year for round three.

It was my first B&B experience but not the last.I was truly amazed and satisfied with the experience.Interaction with staff and guests was a pleasant surprise compared to all of my past stays in hotels and motels.Amenities were plentiful and better than being at home.Many of the guests that came and went while we were there said the Yellow House was the exception of B&B's.

My wife and I celebrated our aniversary with something new...a B&B. We had heard the Yellow house was great, so we gave it a try. We were not disappointed. We stayed in the kensale suite. It was perfect...clean and just what we wanted, romantic seclusion. We had Bfk in our suite the first AM and went to the Dining Room the next. The food was excellent. Shawn was great and provided for everything without being too intrusive. The weather was rainy, but we had a great time and have added the Yellow House to the places we want to visit again.

Shawne was the perfect host. Superb place and so convenient. The BREAKFAST was unbelievable, as was the cocktail hour. All the rooms are different, and appealing to anyone - large, very clean, and great bathrooms. Shawne takes care of any of your needs.

We stayed there for two nights and it felt like we were at home. This place is clean and Shawn and the staff are very friendly and will do anything for you. We will be back there for sure.

My husband and I needed a place to get away and just relax and enjoy each other with the hustle and bustle of work, kids and everyday life. We chose The Yellow House. It was absolutlely the PERFECT place to do this. The accomodations could have not been any better. We stayed in a room in the Pond House and it was great. The view from the breakfast table was so beautiful and serene. It looked over a pond that waterfalled into another pond. Our bedroom was furnished perfectly, from the big comfortable sleigh bed to the fireplace and jacuzzi. We had the option to eat breakfast with the guest in the main house or have it served in our room. The breakfast was DELICIOUS! In the evening, we enjoyed wine and cheese on the porch of the main house and enjoyed meeting the other guests. Then there was the staff. Shawn, Connie and the girls made sure that everything was PERFECT!! You could look high and low and still not find a more friendly and accommodating staff. They treated you like royalty and family! As I stated in the beginning, it was PERFECT!! We will definately be returning!!

Shawn is the perfect innkeeper! He welcomes your reservation with an email, with information, and when you arrive, he will give you the full tour, showing you the inn, any rooms that are available, show you where the Port wine is, the candy, cookies, popcorn, tell you about the library and videos, and learn your choices for breakfast. He makes you feel at home the minute you walk in. This was our fourth visit in six months and second time we took friends (who will return). You will have a choice of having breakfast in your room or in the dining room, next to a spotless kitchen with a health rating of 100...Shawn and his staff prepare a special breakfast that is guaranteed to be delicious and beautiful. The morning we had breakfast in the room, they called to learn which juices we wanted (out of 6-7), and delivered that along with a fruit bowl, and coffee. Then took our order for eggs, and then in about 10 minutes arrived with a loaded plate, with more than you can eat...the next morning, we had a beautiful plate of Strawberry French toast along with sausage....almost forgot the wine and cheese, meat, fruit and crackers in the afternoon.....and the tea caddy is available with about a dozen kinds of tea. You will not find a more comfortable or enjoyable B & B in the area nor will you be disappointed with any part of The Yellow House.....and while in Waynesville, don't miss the Shelton Museum of NC, in downtown....outstanding displays of crafts, textiles, beautiful view of the mountains, and Jackie is extremely knowledgeable of everything in it. Have fun!

My husband and I try to come once a year, its a great place full of beauty. Clean, relaxing, great people. The food is awesome and I love to wake up to their breakfast. I would recommend tv and dvd players in rooms for those of us who are movie lovers.

We visited Waynesville and the Yellow House for a long Labor Day weekend. Even before arriving, Shawn our host set the tone for a relaxing weekend with our email confirmation letter. Our booked room in the Pond House was very spacious and clean, but we were given the opportunity to stay the second night in the main house and really appreciated Shawn and the Yellow House for being so accommodating. Breakfasts were enjoyed out on the front porch with great food and service, and evening receptions were a nice way to meet the other guests. The House has numerous games and decks of cards that can be enjoyed and fresh baked cookie were an inviting treat. I would highly recommend checking out the Yellow House if you are looking for a relaxing, high-quality experience in the Wayneville area.

We stayed 2 nights and really enjoyed it! The room was fabulous and the gourmet breakfast each morning was beyond belief; Shawn is a great Chef! Overall stay was great! Very friendly atmosphere; beautiful views and lots to do in nearby Waynesville.

We found this Bed & Breakfast Inn by chance on the internet, and booked for our first 5 nights accommodation on a 3 week vacation, and what a gem it turned out to be. The one thing that sets this above all others we have visited is Shawn - the innkeeper. Watch the video of Shawn talking about the house and you will get a feel for what to expect during your stay. In addition to his very relaxed manner he is an incredible cook. The quality of the breakfast items served were quite outstanding and we have just used one of his recipies for dinner this evening back in the UK. In addition to breakfast there are facilities for making a selection of hot & cold drinks, several snacks/fruit, and daily freshly baked cookies! You will not be disappointed with the food. The evening get together with wine, cheese and biscuits was another favourite where we met the other guests, and what a great crowd they turned out to be from all over the USA. The house is stunning and the location is in a setting which is very peaceful and relaxing (even the air conditioning in the rooms is so quiet). The Inn is located within easy driving distance of many places you may wish to visit - Biltmore, Blue Ridge Parkway and Great Smoky Mountain railroad to mention a few. We found plenty to keep us occupied during our 5-night stay. The local Waynesville town was a delight with several good restaurants for dinner. Our only complaint is that we didn't stay for longer. This place is just what you have always dreamed about.

We live in Waynesville, and had long admired the beautiful Yellow House. So, when our twelve family members came to help celebrate our anniversary, we gave them our house and jumped at a chance to see first-hand how wonderful this place really is. We were not disappointed. Our room was huge, charming and elegant. Shawn was so gracious to show me every room when I visited to make a reservation, The variety is huge, and there is something that would please everyone. They even have a pet friendly room. The breakfasts are wonderful, as is the wine and cheese time in the afternoon. The setting is in the beautiful and cool Blue Ridge mountains along Plott Creek, and is very convenient to access roads and downtown Waynesville. If you plan to visit Waynesville, and want the perfect relaxing experience, this is it.

We chose to stay at The Yellow House for honeymoon. We could not have made a better choice. We felt so pampered and spoiled by the time we left. The service here is what sets The Yellow House apart from any other place I have ever stayed (including the fancy hotels). We stayed two days. In addition to the Yellow House, The nearby community of Waynesville is very nice and interesting. We were there for their Art Walk.

After having stayed at many of the Select Registry locations I can only rate the Yellow House the BEST of the BEST. Shawn and his staff really go out of their way at every turn - from the breakfast to die for to the cookies that find their way to the jar every afternoon. Shawn was in great pain with his back when were were staying but still, nothing was too much and always with a smile !!!! We will pass the word to all we know and Susan you have really found a superb crew to take care of your wonderful inn.........

We spent a couple ok days at The Yellow House over the 4th of July and could not have picked a better place for a weekend getaway. In fact we wish that we had been able to stay longer. The service was incredible in every respect. Shawn and his staff took excellent care of us from the great breakfast to the wine and cheese in the afternoon.

First time staying at the Yellow House. Found it to be very relaxing and welcoming. Situated in a quiet rural neighborhood setting a couple miles from downtown which is what we wanted. Quiet. Attractive grounds and a delicious breakfast was provided on the porch. Stayed in the Windward room which was beautifully appointed. The only drawback was the a/c was rather loud. If we hadn't needed it, then it would have been perfect, but we're glad it was available as it was hot the days we were there. Regardless we enjoyed it and recommend it to others.

My boyfriend and I decided to take a break from reality for a short 3 day getaway at this B&B. The drive up to the property is so beautiful and the inside of the house is even more exquisite. You are made to feel so welcome and feel so at home! We stayed in the suite on the bottom floor which provided complete privacy with your own patio overlooking the pond area...peaceful and relaxing. The wonderful breakfast, evening cheese tray and plush room take you away from life's stress and offer relaxation to every part of the mind and body!!!!

We visited The Yelow House for our 13th wedding anniversary weekend. It was everything their website promised - and more! The house is lovely, with every amenity you could want, Shawn was extra thoughtful of my food allergies and the grounds were a fairyland dream complete with flowing water falls. We made ourselves at home as if we were visiting a favorite family homestead. We'll definitely be back!

The innkeeper at The Yellow House, Shawn, was so kind and saw to our every need. He was very personable and made us immediately feel at ease in the bed and breakfast setting. He also indulged my passion for plants by allowing me to get "cuttings" of different types of groundcover, etc. to take back home with us. Connie, our housekeeper, was just what you would want your server at breakfast to be like. These two key staff people really are what makes or "breaks" a weekend getaway at a bed and breakfast. The house and grounds were very beautiful and relaxing. We had a great romantic weekend! We hope to go back again as soon as possible.

My wife and I decided to celebrate our 35th anniversary at a B&B in western NC and the Yellow House was recommended by our daughter and son-in-law. What a great recommendation it was! The room (we stayed in the S'conset) was fantastic with a very comfortable king bed, whirlpool tub and lots of sitting room. We had our breakfast on the porch both mornings of our stay where we enjoyed the company of some of the other guests. And, yes, the food is outstanding. Shawn really knows his way around a kitchen and is a gracious host! The rest of the staff were courteous, kind and attentive. This was our best B&B experience yet. Will we go back? Absolutely! Would we recommend it to others? We already have!

Our friend had told us about the Yellow House for a number of years and we decided to spend the a night and see a play at the Flatrock theater.The Band B is great. The management is always visible; the cleanliness is the best of any B and B that i have every seen and it is a wonderful setting, too. We will be back

What a great place for a get away from it all vacation. The room was super. The service from the staff and Innkeeper was extraordinary, the breakfast each morning made me want to get up early just to make sure I didn't miss it. All in all one of the best Bed and breakfast Inns I have ever been to.

Our anniversary visit to The Yellow House far exceeded our expectations. The accommodations were beautiful and comfortable with an extremely welcoming and helpful staff. We truly felt at home. Meals were delicious; the grounds breathtaking. We will be back!

My wife and I have stayed in B&B establishments up and down the eastern united states. The Yellow House excells all others. The furnishings, The grounds, The gourmet breakfasts and afternoon snacks are excellent. The entire experience is topped off by the congeniality of the host Shawn and the staff. The peaceful and lovingly maintained grounds of the Yellow House enveloped us as we drove up the long, curving driveway to the main house. This laid back, yet totally sophisticated, property felt instantly at home. Our room was delightfully decorated and Shawn even had a cheese and cracker tray in the unit's fridge for our enjoyment upon arrival. My wife and I are traveling Canadians dawdling our way around the south and we were thrilled to have found a home for the night in the Windward Room at the Yellow House. The morning sunrise over the Blue Ridge gave me the opportunity to exercise my photo skills, but only because the Yellow House was such a wonderful subject.

This is by far the best B&B we have stayed at. The staff and owner were exceptional, the food was great and the rooms are incredible! Want to sleep on a cloud or indulge yourself in your own private jacuzzi? This is the place to get away from it all. We travel alot and have stayed in many different places. The Yellow House will exceed all your expectations and make you yearn for a king size bed at home.

We had the pleasure of staying at the Yellow House 4-12 thru 4-15.....Shawn was the most wonderful host......made us feel like family. A beautiful home, fantastic breakfasts, a host of extras.....by far the best B and B we have ever visited....we would visit again in a heartbeat.

Arrived for a 3 night stay and were warmely greated by Shawn who toured us through the beautiful home. The room was clean and spacious, refrigerator well stocked with water, sodas and snacks. The breakfasts were absolutely wonderful. Shawn had a lot of great information about the local area and helped us with dinner reservations. We had a relaxing stay and would recomend The Yellow House to all.thanks again.

My retreat at The Yellow House was as if I was in the comfort of my own home, surrounded by my best friends, as each and every one of them pampered me in every way imaginable. We have stayed at the Yellow House on several previous occasions and have never been disappointed. It is a beautiful and charming inn. Shawn did a terrific job of making our weekend stay relaxing, pleasant and couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. We had such an incredible weekend! The room was beautifully decorated and very well equipped. The staff was so welcoming and made our stay so comfortable! This is one of our favorite B&Bs and we will definitely be returning!

We just got back from another wonderful escape at The Yellow House. We've been going there for years but this time we had the whole house to ourselves which was fun because you can sneak down to the kitchen at night and fix a cup of tea or read in front of the fire. It's like having your own private turn-of-the-century mansion! The Innkeeper, Shawn, was so gracious. He made us feel right at home. I love the music that plays throughout the house. It never fails to relax me. And, the pumpkin pancakes were delicious! We'll be back again soon!

My husband and I stayed at the Yellow House for a long weekend. The staff was extremely accommodating to our every need. We had in house massages and the director of the inn called me to arrange the times/ specific requests. The breakfasts were delicious. We had the option to go to the dining room to eat with everyone or have breakfast brought to our room. Our room was very spacious and we had a beautiful view. We wish we could have stayed longer... If we return, we will stay at the Yellow House again!!

This was our first Christmas without children and grandkids. So our thought was to go away and be distracted. This was the best distraction! Everything about our stay exceeded our expectations. Shawn the innkeeper was awesome from communication before arriving to showing us around. He was great. We woke up to snow on Christmas morning and it did not stop which kept us from going to Asheville so we were treated to a ham when we were hungry. "Let the kitchen be yours." Wow never had that at a bed-n-breakfast. The little touches of crackers and cheese to munch on. Movies to watch or to just sit by the fire and drink a glass of port. How relaxed we became. I would highly recommend the Yellow House (my favorite color too!!). We will return. Hope you will too. PS My jack russell was even welcomed and treated with kindness.

Our stay at the Yellow House B&B was outstanding. Shawn upgraded us to a better room after experiencing heating problems which were beyond his control at our booked room. The breakfasts were fantastic, especially the strawberry stuffed french toast, yum! The staff went out of their way to make us feel at "home" and comfortable at the residence and in the city of Waynesville, making dinner reservations for us and providing pre-printed directions to keep us from getting lost. Returned for another visit to one of our favorite B&Bs in the country. As usual, the entire experience lived up to their standard of excellence! Our stay at The Yellow House was perfect! The Kinsale Suite was roomy and a perfect location on the grounds if you're looking to have a little privacy but all of the amenities of the main house. It was SUCH a nice option to have breakfast brought to your room each day - don't find that everywhere! Shawn was extremely knowledgable, helpful and friendly! Great location to be close to Asheville, Biltmore, and some GREAT sights on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Cannot recommend enough!!

Before I arrived at The Yellow House, I was sure that the Pictures and descriptions on the website had to be exaggerated, but when I arrived, I found the perfect B&B in the most beautiful setting imaginable. The Innkeeper Shawn and his staff did everything possible to make my wife's and mine stay the most enjoyable three days we have spent since our honeymoon. The fall colors and the weather were the icing on the cake. I promise to make the Yellow House my go to place from now on. I will be Back.

Our stay at the The Yellow House was first a gift given to my husband and I by friends who had been there and seen for themselves for a lovely place it is. We arrived and were met by Shawn as he was seemingly just waited for us to arrive. He showed around the house and we met some very special folks that we ate breakfast with each morning and had appetizers each afternoon. We we escorted to our cottage and my it was just beautiful. Everything we saw on the website and much more for you can't describe the memories and special times you make while you are there. A special thank you to all who made it so special to my hubby and I. The Yellow House was such a lovely and perfect experience! I had never visited a Bed and Breakfast before but found that The Yellow House surpassed all of my expectations. I was in need of a quiet and relaxing escape from my busy life and stressful job. From the moment I walked in the door, I felt at home. The staff and service made me feel like a special guest, a top priority. Traveling alone as a young woman, I was nervous at first but always felt safe and comfortable at The Yellow House. I still think about the amazing breakfasts I enjoyed on the balcony followed by a day of reading and walking around the beautiful grounds. I left feeling renewed, relaxed, and reconnected with myself. When my friends ask me about my stay, I always say it was "beautiful--the rooms, grounds, and mountain views." Any thing you could dream about this facility has. Quiet, romance, hidden away from everyday life, waterfall on grounds and two ponds. Just wonderful!! The food is exceptional. You couldn't hand pick a better staff if you done it yourself.

My brother and I are building homes in Waynesville and we needed a place to stay while discussing our building plans with the contractor. This is a wonderful B&B, beautifully decorated, quite and the service is exceptional. The rooms were very clean and the food was fabulous. We will be staying at the yellow house many times during the buidling of our retirement homes. Our wives will love this B&B and will want to come often with us. The Innkeeper is very friendly and has a great personality. We requested that breakfast be served earlier than normal to accomodate our schedule for the day and it was no problem. Very accomodating. I have stayed at Yellow House a few times and I have to say, i t is wonderful. Stress free. Shawn and his staff are the best. Make you feel at home.

My husband, our scotties and I had a grand time at The Yellow House. The accommodations were outstanding so upscale which allows dogs as well. The landscape was beautiful including the pond and the creek that ran down the slop. Our happy hour included our dogs. The treats so hearty and plentiful. We were served breakfast in our room.....awe...the fruit so colorful and plentiful, then French toast with strawberries and bacon. The dogs even had their own water and food mat. No amenities were overlooked for sure. Shawn and Connie were most gracious. A definite return for our family!

Shawn, our innkeeper, and staff made a weekend memorable! Great food, clean inn and restful experience! Enjoyed the porches while watching a summer evening thunderstorm. Perfect NC mountain retreat! Will return!

We had a delightful night even with a 14 year and 5 year old. The bullfrog serenaded us in the evening. Jefferson's French toast could not have been more delicious!

The innkeeper, Shawn, and the owners thought of everything 2 people would possibly need. The rooms were beautifully decorated. The meals were great and the classical, easy listening music to the rooms was relaxing.

We are returning guests of The Yellow House. We love Select Registry B&B's, but TYH is by far our favorite. The romantic, intimate setting , the mountain views, gourmet food, and exemplary customer service exceed our expectations every time. Whether it be strolling the quaint town, just minutes away, or relaxing on the hammocks watching the hundreds of fire flies, one is certain to find a peaceful setting that is second to none. My husband and I cannot wait to return again in the near future.

My husband and I needed a much needed break. A friend recommended The Yellow House. We were extremely impressed with our room. We stayed in the Windward Side room. The music piped into the room was so delightful. We had breakfast each morning on the balcony. The scenery was pleasantly peaceful and the breakfast was outstanding! Shawn, the innkeeper, was welcoming from the very first moment we met him checking in. He recommended great places to eat and activities to see and do in the area. We are most definitely coming back! Waynesville is a very charming, quaint town. We recommend visiting the Chef's Table, and ordering their Bourbon Chicken entree; it was quite delicious. The Yellow House is the place to stay for a refreshing and relaxing get away. You will feel totally and completed relaxed!

My husband and I have stayed at the Yellow House several times. In fact, we have decided it is our favorite B&B. We enjoy taking trips to get away, and always feel relaxed after a visit to this special place. Susan, Shawn and the staff make you feel at home. The rooms are thoughtfully appointed, and the overall atmosphere is a romantic getaway. During each visit we have enjoyed having breakfast in our room. We have stayed in the Carriage House and The Estainge. Both rooms are gorgeous but our favorite is the Estainge suite due to the separate sitting area (a good option if your partner is an early riser or likes to read late) and the covered veranda. The outside sitting area on the veranda has a picturesque view of the mountains. It is a delightful spot to have breakfast and catch up on some reading to start your day. Although you may find it hard to leave your room, if you do venture out there is plenty to do in the area, whether you take in a day trip for sightseeing or visit local artists or gift shops. In summary, we have enjoyed each of our visits to the Yellow House immensely and will be sure to return again.

I went to The Yellow House Inn to de-stress, and from the moment I walked through the entrance, it was clear that relaxation was exactly what this B&B was created for. My room was a wonderful combination of old-fashioned homeyness and modern luxury, where beautiful and functional antiques create a mood of timelessness and comfort. The Inn's public areas have lots of cozy little nooks and corners that invite lounging. What a luxury it was to sit in a big, cozy chair with a freshly baked cookie and a cup of good coffee and a view of a busy bird feeder. I can't wait to come back in the fall and curl up in front of one of the fireplaces! The innkeeper, Shawn, made a point of reminding me that the grounds beyond the Inn were also "mine." As I wandered, I discovered all manner of gazebos, benches, and hammocks--some perfect for solitary communes or peaceful naps, others an invitation to quiet conversation. After dark, I sat on a wicker sofa in a gazebo lit by a citronella flame, sipped a glass of wine and just listened to the bullfrogs "sing." Although the Inn had lots of other guests while I was there, the atmosphere was always quiet and the staff managed to make me feel as if I was the only person in residence. This was my first visit to The Yellow House, but I will undoubtedly return to visit over and over again.

A lovely place to get a way from it all. Each room is more beautiful than the next. The breakfast was superb and the staff was friendly and helpful. The charm and the friendly atmosphere made it easy to make all of us feel "at home" and enjoy our stay immensely.

Stayed two nights on business and enjoyed The Yellow House soo much I returned the next week and brought family for an overnight. Shawn is delightful. He cannot do enough to make a guest's visit a great experience. The property and the house are both beautiful and welcoming. Delicious breakfast and great evening cocktail treats. Connie is another asset at this property - she too makes everyone feel at home. My husband and I have stayed at many Select Registery properties and this one is way up there on the list. The Yellow House has amazing grounds and a comfortable front porch on the main house that made me want to just sit and listen to the birds. There are, however, lots of hiking trails and other things to do on and around the property. The breakfast and cocktail hour food items were wonderful, particularly a special chocolate treat made by the manor keeper himself. Thanks for a wonderful time!

My husband and I spent two days at The Yellow House and loved it. The house is beautiful and comfortable and the breakfast and afternoon hors d'oeuvres were absolutely delicious. We loved the peach stuffed french toast and sausage. The innkeeper, Shawn, was a great host and a great cook with attention to the details. The grounds and the view from the house and our room were so pretty and relaxing. It was nice to have central A/C (individually controlled in our room), microwave and small refrigerator in our room, not to mention a stocked pantry for guests to get snacks, drinks and ice. I can't wait to go back. We have stayed at many bed and breakfasts and this was our favorite.

I stayed at the Yellow House in June 2010. Everything about my stay was outstanding! My room accommodations were over the top. I had a jaccuzi tub in my room and a fabulous view of the gardens. Breakfast in the mornings on the porch with a slight breeze blowing and a meal that was fit for a queen. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The property was breathtaking. I spent one afternoon laying in a hammock reading a book. So relaxing. Wine and cheese was served in the evening, fresh flowers in my room, waterfall on the property. I just can't say enough. We enjoyed a very relaxing stay while extensive options for sightseeing and dining were also available. Accomodations were superb.

My wife and I travel to the United States once a year, and this year we chose to visit North Carolina and the mountains. We could not have picked a better Inn than the Yellow house. Shawn and his staff really made us feel a part of the family at the Inn and everything was five star wonderful. The grounds were beautiful, peaceful and quiet, So much so that birds had built nests in the ferns near our room and little baby birds were already hatched and feathered. The food was rich and tasty, from the breakfast in our room to the handmade chocolate and the cheese and vegetable dips served in the afternoon. We were close to many hiking trails and points of interest, and when we were ready for dinner, Shawn directed us to some very good locally run restaurants that were friendly and welcoming. The only bad part of our stay was leaving, but we hope to be back in this region once again, and we will surely stay at the Yellow house.

This was our first time vacationing at The Yellow House on Plott Creek Road and this will not be the last. The rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated. We had a scrumptious breakfast that was freshly prepared each morning. The bed and breakfast was centrally located between Asheville and Cherokee which made day trips very easy and convenient. The gardens during the spring were heavenly. I would recommend this location for a romantic wedding or for hosting wedding parties. Also, the B & B would be a cozy place for newly weds to enjoy breakfast in bed while overlooking the manicured lawns. The Yellow House is also a wonderful location to host a business retreat.

The Yellow House in Waynesville, NC has got to be the world's best kept secret when it comes to great bed and breakfast Inns. A business associate recommended the Yellow House to me after he stayed there for an anniversary weekend and told me how peaceful, warm and friendly the Inn was to visitors. I stayed for three days in April and I can not imagine (or ever expect) to have as good a stay anywhere else in the world. The rooms were unique and inviting, and I was given my choice of a free upgrade because another guest had cancelled. I chose the St. Paul room which couldn't have been any better if they had tried. Though I ate in the dining room only once, (the other two times I was served on my porch overlooking one of their ponds), the instant comraderie with the other guests was magnified due to the friendliness and true warmth of the staff. The staff anticipated and sometimes directed my every whim, which truly made this stay the ultimate 3 day vacation. I hated to leave, but I have already booked a return stay in the summer, and I expect to be as regular as the seasons to this perfect getaway.

We spent the weekend at the Yellow House and found it to be more than perfect. We were greeted by friendly faces that were always smiling and ready to assist in ensuring our stay was everything we wanted, even if it meant leaving us to explore on our own. We were given a 4-5 page set of ideas of things to do and see, which included detailed directions. We used it often and were never disappointed or lost. The time we spent in our suite was ideal. We had all the amenities we needed and more. We were served breakfast in our suite every morning. There were sweet treats and cheese with crackers in the evening. All of the food was delicious! The atmosphere was very comfortable, relaxing, and we definitely felt welcome. We couldn't have asked for a better weekend! We're actually trying to find another weekend in the near future that we can return. It was absolutely wonderful!

What a great place to stay! My wife and I were pleasantly surprised with the Yellow House, the food, the staff and especially Susan. I've traveled a lot for business and am VERY picky when it comes to cleanliness. I gave four marks for cleanliness which really isn't quite fair since there were some cob webs up in the corners of one of the rooms, but the rest of the property is spotless. We will be back and have already started recommending it to friends.

This is true Southern Charm. The house and grounds were beautiful and our hostess Susan truly made you feel at home. As of now this is our favorite B&B and we shall surely return soon.
