Review The Yellow House, Waynesville, NC

Photo Album

The S'conset Suite is light and airy, located on the first floor of the Main House, is reminiscent of a summer day with its dark wood and white wicker furnishings. The focal point is the large stone fireplace surrounded by a comfortable sitting area with upholstered loveseat and chair. The Savannah Suite, located in the Pond House, is a king bedded suite with separate sitting room, fireplace, two person jetted-tub and private balcony looking out over ponds and gardens.
Carriage House is located on the first floor of the Main House, this luxurious suite of English Country design is a guest favorite! Original brick, rich wood, dark green walls, high ceilings and a penisular fireplace set the tone for romance. As you relax in the jetted-tub for two, reflect on the view from your window....tranquil pond, forest of trees and misty mountains in the distance. The large private balcony is a perfect place to have breakfast in a beautiful, natural setting. Wet bar with refrigerator, four-poster King bed and private bath with tub and shower. $265The St.Paul Suite is located in the Main House at garden level, this spacious and most secluded retreat affords views of the lower pond, towering trees and mountains from its private patio. Sun-baked ceramic tile floors, fireplace trimmed with decorative tiles, lace curtains and a low, wood-beamed ceiling give this suite a decidedly French cottage feel. The two-sided fireplace may be enjoyed from the jetted-tub and king bed on one side or from the comfortable sitting area on the other side. Wet bar with refrigerator, TV/DVD with cable, King bed and private bath with shower.
St.Paul de Vence Suite, fireside breakfast table and sitting area opening up onto the private patio.Estaing Suite ~ Memories of the rural village of E'staing, France, inspired this two-room suite. The bedroom's four poster queen bed, dresser, shutters and stone fireplace bring memories of a quaint French village. The sitting room with its wet bar, games, comfortable furnishings and fireplace make this a great place to spend a lazy afternoon.
Both rooms open to a private balcony that offers a wonderful pine-framed view of the mountains and town. At night the twinkling town lights framed by pine shadows make this one of the most romantic spots found anywhere - a delight for the senses.

The Windward is attached to the Main House but has a private entry from the parking area. Queen bed, gas log fireplace, wet bar with refrigerator, private bathroom and balcony.
The Montecito ~ This room has casual and elegant charm. The room is centered around an original oil painting by Kurt Polter and combines bright primary colors against white walls. White shutters cover the large bay windows opening to a mountain ridge view. There is a Spanish influence in the iron four poster queen bed and pottery accessories in this "almost round" shaped room. Because of its openness and hominess it has been a real guest favorite. The Benitatxell Suite ~ Located in the Pond House, you will be enchanted by this sunny suite with it's decorative elements. This two story accommodation offers several sitting areas ideal for relaxing, curling up with a good book or just basking in the warmth of the fireplace. Enjoy breakfast on your private tree house deck or inside by the bay window over looking the upper pond. In addition to the king bed in the second floor bedroom, this suite also has a day bed in the ground floor sun room. Amenities include: fireplace, jetted-tub, private balcony, television, DVD, refrigerator
The Carolina, located on the second floor of the Main House, is a queen bedded room with gas log fireplace, refrigerator and private bathroom.Kinsale Suite ~ Located in the Pond House, you can snuggle up in the king-sized sleigh bed, relax in the high-back sitting area chairs, renew in the two-person whirlpool tub near the large two-sided fireplace, and enjoy breakfast with views of our gardens, ponds and mountains through the French doors, or from your private deck. The exceptionally large glass-walled, custom-tiled shower is a morning delight.
A wine and hors d'oeuvre hour is held fireside in the living room each evening, giving guests the opportunity to meet and mingle. The Yellow House was recently featured in the April 2008 issue of "Our State - North Carolina" magazine as one of three North Carolina Bed & Breakfasts with outstanding grounds.
