The tropical theme of the Palms Room brings back membories for your innkeepers, Dina and Carolyn, both from the Tampa Bay area. This is our largest room offering comfortable recliners in a large sitting area and even a potted palm tree! The room is completed by a fireplace for both warmth and ambiance while reading or just relaxing.
The Pinehurst Room takes its name from the renowned Pinehurst Golf Resort in Pinehurst, North Carolina. With luxury accommodations for up to four guests, this room also provides a siting area accented by a corner window with two comfortable swivel rocking chairs for reading or just relaxing while taking in the view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. This room is enhanced by a split bath with two separate vanities with sinks and an oversized, walk-in shower.
The Pine Needles Room is named for the golf course located in Southern Pines, North Carolina. Lots of windows overlook our enourmous front yard and brook making this our brightest and airiest room. The comfortable queen bed provides rejuvenation for the next day's adventure.

The Brookside Mountain Mist Inn is ideally located in a quiet neighborhood with lots of beautiful foilage and a rippling brook. It is not far from downtown Waynesville that we found very fun to explore. The breakfasts are above and beyond what you might expect. The hosts are very engaging and are there to meet your every need. We needed a couple of days away to unwind and this was the perfect place. It was a bit on the cool side and so I would love to go back again sometime to lie in the hammock by the brook and enjoy the backyard and firepit.

A two night minimum stay may apply on holiday weekends or special festival dates. Deposits will be refunded with at least 7 days notice of cancellation, minus a $30 processing fee. Cancellations made with less than 7 days notice will be charged half of the total amount of the entire stay. Cancellations made within 24 hours,no shows and early departures will be charged the full amount of the reservation. Whole house rentals will require at least a 30 day cancellation notice, with a $150 cancellation fee. Whole house rental cancellations with less than 30 days notice will be charged half of the entire stay amount. Cancellations within one week of arrival, no shows and early departures will be charged the full amount of the reservation. Discounts are available for weekly stay or whole house rental. Alternative Check-In times may be accommodated upon request. We cannot accommodate pets. Nearby is Creature Comforts, a great spot for boarding your pet for a getaway.

Our stay in Jan. 2013 was a gift from our employees. We really needed the time away to rest and relax. It was the PERFECT place to do just that while we also explored the area and great restaurants. The B&B is beautiful, immaculately clean, great views, and wonderful breakfasts. Carolyn and Dina could not have made our visit any better. I highly recommend a massage. We will definitely be back!

First, let me say this is hands down the cleanest place Bruce and I have ever stayed. I'm usually not even picky about this, but I couldn't help noticing how pristine it all was. Breakfast is delicious, interesting, and fun. I hope one day to be able to finish a whole meal there. I'm usually full by the second course. Outside the birds and squirrels entertain you while you sip your coffee. Inside, Carolyn tells stories and keeps you laughing. I don't think I've stayed anywhere that I've felt more comfortable. Brookside is definitely worth the drive to Waynesville. We highly recommend it if you are looking for a great B&B.

I just recently took my girlfriend there with me and it was amazing the first B&B I've, stayed at and i would definitely recommend staying here. The hostess were great and they made it feel as if it were and they were real helpful on information on what there was to do around the area at the given time of year.
