I took a trip by myself to Little Washington just to have a bit of R&R. I stayed at The Moss House B&B and absolutely loved it. My room (The Tar River Room) was just perfect for me. Becky and Scott were excellent host. They gave me great recommendations on where to go, what to eat, ect... I loved that it was just blocks from everything. I would most definitely got back!!

My wife and I spent two nights at the Moss House over the Thanksgiving holiday. We enjoyed the setting and hospitality and recommend it highly. This two-story Victorian is on the Washington historic walking tour, across the street from the notable architecture of the Methodist Church and around the corner from the restored Atlantic Coast depot and freight warehouse, which are used as the Washington convention. The downtown and river walk are close by. The house has convenient off-street parking. We stayed in the Anchorage Room, which is quite commodious, maintains much of the house’s original decoration, and has updated features including a very comfortable king-sized bed and a large well-stocked bathroom with an excellent shower in an original closet. Scott and Beckie, the innkeepers, have paid attention to small details throughout the house. The room has a small convenient flat screen television, charger for cell phone and computer, and even a white-noise maker. In the corridor outside, a small refrigerator houses free water bottles and soft drinks, and bottle openers and cork screw are handy on tables with books and brochures on local attractions. Local art decorates corridor and common room walls, including a notable photograph of Robert Frost taken by a relative. The back porch features a collection of yard art and crafts. During our stay, Christmas tree and other seasonal decorations with a Victorian theme were displayed in the common rooms and corridor. Beckie and Scott were very thoughtful hosts, paying attention to our needs and being especially gracious to our grandson, who stayed with us for a night. Breakfasts are good, and Beckie is open for requests. Their hospitality is warming and not intrusive.

We have been to the Moss House twice now and it is so delightful. I had tried to get a room but it was all booked. The owner contacted me the next week and said she had a cancellation and asked if I still wanted it. We said yes and headed down that way. We spent two nights there and had such great service. It wasn't like service it was like family!!! Thanks Scott & Beckie We'll be back Chip & Clara

The Moss House Bed and Breakfast is a charming and beautiful place. We stayed there again this past weekend for my husband's High School Reunion. As always, Beckie and Scott were wonderful hosts. The food is spectacular, and they meet every dietary requirement you might have. The rooms are quaint and very comfortable and the vibe is very relaxing. I cannot understand why anyone would want to stay in a hotel when they can stay at the Moss House!

Stayed at the Moss House for one night in August 2014. This is a delightful old Victorian with spacious clean guest rooms and we had a very comfortable bed -- slept like a rock. The inn keepers were very accommodating even with our finicky eating requirements.

We visited the Washington NC area on a house-hunting trip. We chose to stay at the Moss House B&B for 2 days, with a possible third day extension. From the moment we arrived until our departure, we felt welcomed, well-fed, and relaxed. Beckie and Scott are gracious hosts, and clearly love their role as innkeepers. Their attention to detail and their flexibility to schedule changes are a real plus to the traveller. When inclement weather moved in on the third day, preventing us from venturing out for dinner, they made sure we had nice sandwiches and spirits. We look forward to our next visit to the Moss House.

We stayed at the Moss House when my sisters and I got togethers. Beckie and Scott helped to make this a special weekend. They accomodated special food needs, but most important they were warm and made us feel at home. The house is beautiful and much has been done to pay attention to details for guests' comfort and accomodation.

We had a wonderful stay at Moss House. The location was excellent for downtown, waterfront, and historic area walks. The house was interesting, the host gracious, and the food excellent.

We had only an overnight stay in Washington, NC, and the Moss House was recommended. We did not realize we were staying in such a marvelous place. The house is architecturally beautiful and is, most definitely, not a period piece. The decorating is respectful of the considerable history while being entirely modern. The colors are beautiful and the whole place is so bright, open, and beautiful, you can't help but relax. The bathrooms are fully updated, the wifi is fast. Scott and Beckie are the most warm, welcoming hosts, completely attuned to their guests (with as much or little conversation as you want). Our fellow guest was a European businessman who stays there for two weeks at a time and commutes 20 miles away for his work in the region. After our one night, we completely understood his choice. Indeed, we would return to Washington just to stay there again and tour the area. We were just passing through and realized this is a place to treasure and enjoy. PBK from Chicago
