    Inn's website

The Mast Farm Inn is more than a bed and breakfast, with inn rooms, private getaway cottages, fine dining and great wines, organic gardens, and unique gifts completing our historic country appeal. The key to the Inn’s success, however, lies in the exceptionally friendly and caring service offered to lodging and dinner guests alike. With inspired restoration and continuing care, the Inn continues to welcome guests, as it did over 100 years ago. Lodging guests now choose from 8 guest rooms in our 1880s farmhouse and 7 cottages, some restored from original farm buildings, others newly built. Cottages range in size from cozy ones suitable for a couple to large ones for up to six guests. All are unique spaces. The Inn’s restaurant is celebrated, serving fresh, organic, creative contemporary cuisine. Enjoy fireside or terrace dining, depending on the season. The service is attentive, yet relaxed and friendly. Small plates are available in Aunt Josie's Espresso and Wine Bar; stay in the bar or relocate to the inn's wraparound porch. Located in peaceful, historic Valle Crucis, in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, the Inn is convenient to Boone and Blowing Rock, close to the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway and the magnificent Grandfather Mountain. The current innkeepers have placed special emphasis on the environment, creating a “green” inn where recycling, reducing waste, and buying organic produce locally are taken seriously.

    Keeps calling us back!

    May 01, 2013

My husband and I spent our honeymoon here nearly 17 years ago and have returned several times for memorable visits. This most recent visit was a “just because” weekend. We treasure our mountain getaways and stay in a cozy room in the farmhouse. Be aware they use feather pillows so let them know if you are allergic as they are very responsive to requests. We thought the rate was a little high at first, but it ended up that the friendly staff, the personalized touches, the yummy Sunday breakfast of layered French toast, and the beautiful surroundings, was well worth the cost. A favorite of many guests, Miss Allie's Room is a 2nd floor corner room overlooking our terrace and side rock garden. Its spacious bathing room contains an antique claw-foot tub and a tiled corner shower. The W.C. is separate with toilet and sink, the latter fashioned from an antique oak washstand. Extraordinary Valentine's Day!

    February 20, 2013

We stayed in the Granary. What a lovely experience! Then there was sitting in the parlor sipping a shot of Junior Johnson's moonshine (legal) while waiting to be seated at a magnificent Valentine's dinner. Breakfast had the fluffiest pancakes I have ever eaten. We shall return!

    Bring the Kids

    February 19, 2013

We recently completed a five night stay with our three kids, and stayed in the Granery. Plenty of space and the maid service was excellent (kids make such a mess). The kids really enjoyed the animals and the staff was more than happy to show the kids around the farm and help them feed the animals. The only downside I can mention is that it didn't snow, but I guess that the staff can't control that. Good job guys!!!!
