Melrose Inn

Your home away from home in the foothills of Western Carolina. All of our 14 rooms have private baths, fair trade organic coffee service, alarm clocks and comfortable quaint decor. Enjoy conversation in the lobby, in our lounge, or on our large wraparound deck overlooking the rocked garden. Have a drink by the fireplace in the bar and lounge area. Enjoy a delicious meal in our 45 seat restaurant (reservations required). The entire Inn is non smoking except for the outside decks. WiFi internet connection available on the entire grounds. All this is within walking distance of Downtown Tryon.

    Take I-26 25 miles South towards Spartanburg to exit 67 (Columbus/Tryon exit). Follow the roundabout to the first right, route 108 and take that into downtown Tryon. At the corner of Pacolet St, turn right and follow Pacolet over the tracks, up the hill, and around the bend to the left to the first stop sign. Turn left onto Melrose Ave & The Historic Melrose Inn is the second building on the right.

      All cancellations must be made more than seven calendar days before your expected arrival date or you forfeit your deposit. If you cancel in time your deposit will be returned less $10 that will be credited back to you if you book with us within a year. Should you fail to cancel your reservation, you entire booked stay will be charged up to the maximum allowed.

    Blooming up a storm.All 14 of our rooms are named after a rose. This is the Fragrant cloud. It has a beautifully refinished queen sized antique bedroom set, a feather bed and a comfortable and plush comforter. All of our rooms have private baths with tubs and showers
