This elegant Inn is located on one of the most beautiful islands in North Carolina. Beautifully appointed rooms with king sized beds, private baths, private screened porches, rocking chairs, love seats, wet bars, and private storage rooms. Each room overlooks the beautiful salt marsh and Intracoastal Waterway and is only steps to the ocean. The Sunset Inn is removed from the typical hustle and bustle of commercialized beaches, yet, we are only 25 miles north or Myrtle Beach, S.C. and 40 miles south of Wilmington, N.C. The immediate area affords you over 16 challenging golf courses and excellent dining. Comfortable and roomy with a relaxed atmosphere, our spacious coastal home awaits your arrival.

From Hwy 17S, take a left at Hwy 904 in Grissettown. Go approx. 3 miles and take a right on Hwy 179. Go two miles until you reach the Sunset Beach Bridge. Cross bridge and the Inn is the first Building on the left, directly on the marsh. From Hwy 17N, take the Calabash exit on Hwy 179. Follow 179 for approx. eight miles until you reach the Sunset Beach Bridge. Cross the bridge and the Inn is the first Building on the left, directly on the marsh. - Nearest major airport: Wilmington, NC (ILM-New Hanover County) 45 miles

Take Hwy 17S for approx. 40 miles. You will bypass Shallotte, N.C. and then go approx. 5 miles to Grissettown (small community). Intersection of 17 and 904. Take a left on to 904 and go three miles. Take a right on 179 and go two miles. Cross the Sunset Beach Bridge and the Inn is the first building on the left. We are directly on the marsh.
