The Star Hotel Bed and Breakfast is located within 10 miles of world famous Seagrove, the pottery capital of North Carolina. Along with countless pottery studios and galleries scattered on NC Hwy 705, Seagrove is also the home of The North Carolina Pottery Center. Other nearby activities include The State Zoo, swimming, water skiing, fishing and boating on Lake Tillery near the surrounding Uwharrie National Forest where you can go horse-back riding, hiking, hunting, canoeing, off roading, and recreational panning for Gold at Reed's Gold Mine.
