The Firehouse Suite has a comfortable King size bed with luxurious Italian linens.
The Firehouse Inn Suite is the Master Suite. It offers a spacious place to relax at the desk, on the king-size bed, or to drink coffee and watch TV by the fireplace. There is also a large walk-in closet for your personal belongings. In the private bathroom is a shower, full-sized jacuzzi, 2 sinks and ample closet space.
This elegantly appointed formal living room comes complete with a full kitchen, fireplace, sofas and piano. This room is perfect for small events, meetings, luncheons, rehearsal dinners and family gatherings.
Room 3 has a Queen bed and a comfortable sitting area complete with log fireplace. There is also a loft area with 2 single beds suitable for children.

Located in historic downtown Rutherfordton, the 1925 City Hall and Firehouse has been entirely renovated, and now offers European elegance and urban atmosphere in a friendly, relaxed setting. The Firehouse Inn is located in the 1925 City Hall and Fire Department building in Rutherfordton, North Carolina. The building was one of three major public buildings erected in the town in the 1920’s and early 1930’s. It is a richly-designed Colonial Revival-style brick building with stone/cast stone enrichments.

The Firehouse Inn is without a doubt one of the top Bed and Breakfast Inns we have visited over the years and we have visited many. It is absolutely beautifully decorated, quite and cozy. Keven and Kitty are wonderful. The patio to the side of the Inn makes for a perfect evening glass of wine. And you must visit the gift shop - Kitty's taste in gift items is exquisite! Highly, highly recommend!

I brought my 18 year old son here for a one-night stay to reconnect and rest. Room 2 has a wonderful loft which he enjoyed, while I relaxed down below. We appreciate the kind hospitality we received, the delicious breakfast, and many stories about the town and the inn from Sandy. Also, the creaky floors that reflect the nostalgic history of the building. I definitely recommend this inn for a quick getaway ... relax, reconnect, and enjoy small town charm!

Very nice historic structure that has very thoughtfully preserved and decorated. Attentive hosts. Heating system is a bit independent but the bedding provided is more than adequate. More information about options for breakfast (there are some) would be good but the staff are flexible and make every attempt to make guests happy. Will be happy to stay there again.

This was our first stay at the Firehouse Inn and we will defintely return again! The Inn is comfortable and welcoming. We enjoyed relaxing in the large living room in the evening, and it was a delight to share conversation with Sandy while we enjoyed the great breakfast she made for us. The accomodations are first class and we will look forward to our next stay. Bill and Carole

Room 6 is a large "loft style" apartment on the ground floor of the inn. It is accessed from the street and has a ramp access if needed. Within the suite you will find a comfortable living room with comfortable furniture. There is a desk and chair with appropriate lighting for those busy business travelers. A table with 4 chairs provides ample space for dining. Suite features 2 double tempurpedic beds and 1 regular double bed. Included in the suite is a microwave oven and a small refirgerator. A Keurig coffee machine is also included for your convenience.

Our daughter and bridesmaids used Room 6 the day of her wedding to get ready for the big event. It was perfect and roomy enough for 7 girls getting their hair, makeup, etc. done and dressing. They also had photographs taken at the Inn and in the courtyard. Family used all six of the rooms at the Inn to stay after the wedding. Bride & Groom had the Firehouse Suite and everyone was very happy with their accommodations and stay!

We enjoyed our stay at the Firehouse. The proprietor was very friendly and we had a nice chat. It was a quick visit, just an overnight stay and then off first thing in the morning so we didn't have a chance to experience the town. Next time!

What a beautifully restored Inn! The rooms are charming and the bed linens are Italian and amazing!! I was completely delighted, and will stay again, should the need arise. Breakfast was more than adequate, but not gourmet. If you are in Forest City, Rutherfordton, or anywhere nearby, it is not to be missed.
