Located in historic downtown Rutherfordton, the 1925 City Hall and Firehouse has been entirely renovated, and now offers European elegance and urban atmosphere in a friendly, relaxed setting. The Firehouse Inn is located in the 1925 City Hall and Fire Department building in Rutherfordton, North Carolina. The building was one of three major public buildings erected in the town in the 1920’s and early 1930’s. It is a richly-designed Colonial Revival-style brick building with stone/cast stone enrichments.

We've stayed at The Firehouse twice in the past year and each stay was an excellent experience. The owner and staff are very personable and welcoming. Have already made reservation a year in advance for my next high school reunion.

The wife and I stayed over a weekend. This B&B is nestled right in the middle of a small quiet town and you'd never know from the outside what a gem it is on the inside. Wonderful experience and we will be back. Everything from excellent customer service to delicious full service breakfast prepared for you and clean beautifully decorated rooms. This is a must for all the B&B fans out there..

The pictures do not do the Firehouse Inn enough justice. Everything was clean, quaint and convenient. The bathroom and shower were new, spotless and refreshing. I would highly reccomend the Firehouse Inn to anyone staying in the area. Just perfect.

Found this place online searching for reasonably priced hotels outside of Asheville. It was like finding gold, which is ironic because Rutherfordton was the first place to mint a U.S. Gold coin. You will find a replica gold foil wrapped chocolate on your bed upon arrival. Staff was very accommodating when we arrived after normal check-in hours. This is a very unique building and the decor was very nice. Would recommend to anyone visiting the area.
