Located in historic downtown Rutherfordton, the 1925 City Hall and Firehouse has been entirely renovated, and now offers European elegance and urban atmosphere in a friendly, relaxed setting. The Firehouse Inn is located in the 1925 City Hall and Fire Department building in Rutherfordton, North Carolina. The building was one of three major public buildings erected in the town in the 1920’s and early 1930’s. It is a richly-designed Colonial Revival-style brick building with stone/cast stone enrichments.

Conveniently located, historic building with beautifully decorated and very comfortable accommodations. The room was very comfortable with perfect bed and plush towels. Breakfast was delicious served in a nicely restored hall. Location was walking distance to interesting shops, brewery, biking trail and good choices in restaurants. We have highly recommended it as we have continued our travels.

We love The Firehouse Inn! This was our second visit, and it is such a great place. We love driving to Lake Lure and Chimney Rock, and Asheville is an easy drive as well. I highly recommend this lovely inn to anyone and everyone!

This is my second stay at the Firehouse Inn, and this is the best place to stay in this area! My daughter and I have stayed in both room 2 & 3 the ones with the loft beds. These rooms are great for those traveling with kids.We had such a nice stay, and the breakfast was great. Can't wait for our next stay!

We loved the Fire House Inn! We stayed in the Fire House Suite 18 October 2015. It was spacious and very charming! An interesting fact, the closet used to be the municipal vault. The interior of the building is beautiful and full of history. We were very comfortable and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff was extremely pleasant and accommodating. A visit to the Firehouse Inn is definitely worth the short drive off the main path of any trip. Further, Rutherfordton is a cute town.

We absolutely loved staying at the firehouse inn. It was clean, beautiful and in the perfect location to get away from everything! The pictures do it no justice and we were pleasantly surprised! After a wonderful night we woke up to a delicious and large breakfast! We will definitely be back again to stay in the firehouse suite!

Wow! This inn is just wonderful - my room (no. 3) was beautifully decorated and most comfortable! The staff is absolutely awesome and made me feel just like I was "at home". Breakfast in the dining area was very tasty and always had pastries, drinks, etc. available. Will definitely stay at the inn any time I am visiting in the area.

The wife and I went on a self-guided wine tour at some wineries in the area for my birthday which culminated with a romantic and relaxing stay at the Firehouse Inn. It was the icing on the cake so to speak. Miss Kitty was amazing and worked with us when we had to cancel the week before due to weather. We have stayed at the Firehouse Inn many times over the years and we will be back as soon as we can find a reason to be in the area. Thank you Miss Kitty. You are the best.

I stayed 3 nights and had a great time. Sandy is an amazing hostess and the family style breakfast allowed me to meet some really nice people. I stayed in room 4. My only recommendation would be to get up to date TV's, but other than that it was really nice
