I grew up in NC and returned home to attend a family reunion. My siblings and I were looking for a place where we could spend quality time with each and and our families and have the closeness to enjoy each other without the restrictions found in a hotel setting. We rented the entire house and although John and Betty were gracious, something tells me that they when above and beyond the norm. Meadows Inn provided us with that and more. The house was immaculately clean and the rooms were in order and suited our purpose. Breakfast was great but I think we were all looking for the down home south breakfast that we were accustom to when going home to NC. Not a fault of John and Betty, as Betty did ask our preference before we arrived but assumption got in my way. If you are looking for a family gathering, this is the best place to achieve your desires.

I stayed at this B&B for the 1st time on Thursday, June 26, 2014 while on business travels. John & Betty are amazing & provide great hospitality! The location is convenient to the historic downtown area. You are in very close walking distance (1 - 2 blocks) from a variety of restaurants, shops, & entertainment options! Also, you are the same distance from the water! A great escape even for the business traveler. I would strongly encourage anyone to stay here & enjoy rediscovering New Bern & what this beautiful B&B has to offer!
