We were looking for a halfway point between Charleston and Williamsburg and this town sounded interesting. Turned out it was a revelation, and staying at the Meadows Inn made it a complete delight. The rooms are comfortable and quiet, breakfasts were well prepared and different each day, and the hosts are gracious and welcoming and interesting. I'm glad we chose this place.

My wife and I stayed at the Meadows Inn for our 38th anniversary. We could not have picked a better place. The Meadows Inn is very welcoming and the room was very comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was wonderful all three days. The location is great for walking to the shops and restaurant's in old town New Bern. We really enjoyed getting to know Betty and John during our stay and discussing the history of the area. They were great host and we thank them for allowing us to share in their hospitality.

We shared Granny's Attic with another couple and had the entire 3rd floor to ourselves. The rooms were large and the bed very comfortable. The shared bathroom was spacious with lots of hot water. Another bathroom is available on the first floor as well. This B&B is located in the historic district, walking distance to the water, Persimmon's restaurant, Galley store, any pretty much any location anywhere downtown. You can see the water from the 3rd floor or by walking straight out onto the sidewalk. The breakfasts were delicious with an assortment of muffins, meats, eggs and fruit. Our hosts were GREAT people, easy to chat with. We utilized the sitting rooms for football and wine. We were very comfortable. Thank you so very much! We absolutely enjoyed the B&B as well as the town of New Bern.

We're a German couple couple who were on a road trip with spontaneous travel destinations when we came across the town of New Bern in our travel guide. They recommended the Meadows Inn in the book, we checked the website and their availability and were able to reserve the Josephine room for the one night we wanted to stay. The house is really beautiful and the room breathtaking! I have to say that although it already looks nice on the photographs, they don't do it justice. It's very cosy and just about the perfect location to stay as a couple. Moreover, Betty and John were absolutely wonderful hosts. Since we were not fully determined as of where to go next, they helped us with tons of information, maps and other good advice. Sincerely highly recommended!

My husband and I were greeted by the host. She made sure to give us the best recommendations for places to dine and entertainment. We never would have found the fabulous things to do in New Bern without her advice. Very comfortable bed, delicious food and would highly recommend this Inn to all looking to visit New Bern. Cons: The rooms were air conditioned, but the main house seemed to be on a higher temp, a little too warm out of the room.
