Experience comfortable elegance in the heart of the Historic District. Built circa 1850 as a four room house for Benjamin and Eliza Ellis, the inn has been in operation since 1985. Several additions were made to the house as the Ellis family grew. During the civil war, Company K of the 45th Massachusetts Volunteer Militia occupied the house. The most interesting change was made circa 1900 when the house was sawed in half, separated nine feet, and a separate entrance and stairway was installed to construct two dwellings. The inn offers seven guest rooms and three suites, all with private bathrooms. The Benjamin Ellis Suite has a living room with a queen sized pullout sofa bed and a bedroom with a queen sized canopy bed. This arrangement is ideal for families. The romantic Eliza Suite has a King sized bed and features a heart shaped Jacuzzi tub/shower, perfect for a special romantic getaway. The William and Emily Suite boasts a four poster queen sized bed and a heart shaped Jacuzzi tub/shower. We are within walking distance to major area attractions, antique and specialty shops, and restaurants. Gift certificates available.

Room was clean, owners were friendly and courtious. TV was a bit outdated and wireless connection was weak but we didn't come to spend the whole time in the room. It was perfectly situated to easy walking distance to all of downtown. The breakfast was out of this world delicious! Most definately will stay again.

Ed and Sooki were wonderful and gracious hosts! Harmony House was so comfortable and cozy, The location was perfect, the room was very large and the food was very good. I have a lot of food allergies and they were able to accommodate them with no problem. Our anniversary weekend was just perfect!

I typically stay at hotels, so no other B&B experience to compare to. The Harmony House was a nice historic home, walking distance to everything we wanted to experience. Ed and Sooki were very nice and helpful. The French Toast on our second morning was delicious.

Ed and Sooki are the perfect hosts at their beautiful B&B. The service, food, and accommodations are excellent and the location is perfect. It is difficult to find a room with two beds at a B&B for a girls' weekend, and they offer a room with twin beds. New Bern is a wonderful destination for a weekend of relaxation and fun. I can't imagine a better place to stay and relax.
