The Historic Drawbridge into New
Bern will be under construction until 2010. Please follow the detour signs. Enter the historic district of downtown New Bern from Route 70 from the Raleigh area or from the beach area. Exit at #416 and follow the signs to Tryon Palace. . From the South: Rt. 17N until it joins Rt. 70 East and follow as above. From the North: Rt. 17S to New Bern exit and follow as above. - Nearest major airport: New Bern, NC (EWN) 3 miles
