A beautifully restored 1919 Arts and Crafts bungalow. The six guest rooms feature the calm dark colors typical of the A&C era. There are two fireplaces for general enjoyment, one of which is on a large outdoor back porch. Our atmosphere is refined but definitely not stuffy, and our mood is relaxed and happy. We have a big front porch and a wonderful side yard shaded with mature pecan trees.

Our first trip to OBX, and first stay in a B&B... and the Cameron Inn was a fantastic choice! The inn exudes comfort... warm, soft decor, and cozy rooms! We were looking for a laid back vacation, and this was perfect. Visiting Manteo is like stepping back into a simpler time. The attractions at Nag's Head and Kitty Hawk are so close, but it was hard to leave the wide front porch swing, and the back porch with it's fireplace, rocking chairs, and the beautiful and friendly kitties! We were well taken care of, left alone just enough, and can't wait to go back!

The Cameron House Inn is like staying at a home away from home: all the ammenities you can desire, without too much fuss. When you approach the house, you are greeted with beautiful flowers in pots, wonderful landscaping, and 50 year old porch swing that beckons you to come sit. Inside this historic house, you are soothed by the warm tones, comfortable furniture, freshly baked cookies, and the subtle touches that the owners have sprinkled throughout. Both Michael and Beth are a wealth of information, from restaurant suggestions, to places to go, to the local history. We both really enjoyed borrowing their bikes and touring the town and waterfront while cruising. Breakfast the next morning was casual and delicious. We will definitely come back!

We stayed here in April. The inn is really charming and everyone was so nice. The back porch has a cozy fireplace that the resident cats love to share with you. There are several restaurants and shops within walking distance. We had a great time and highly recommend this inn!
