Located approximately 20 feet from main house, offering total privacy. New, fully equipted One Bedroom Log Cottage, with wrap-around deck. Living room/kitchen combination has a sleeper sofa, Dinning area and TV with VCR, Seperate Queen size Bedroom; all decorated in nutural tones keeping with the alpine tradition and to maximize relaxation. Large Bathroom has 4' handicap shower. All doorways large enough for wheelchair access.
Authentic Alpine Dining Room decorated in the traditional booths and small tables creating a casual atmosphere with "Volksmusic" softly playing in the background. International Foods and Olde World recipes, including all your favorite German Dishes, prepared fresh daily. Compliment your meal with German Beer or Mosel Wine. Dinner is one seating, by reservation only. Relax by candlelight and enjoy an all inclusive dinner selected from the four specials offer each evening by Master Chef Werner. Topped off with one of his tantalizing desserts. Breakfast is a unique dining experience bringing our guest back year after year. Specialties such as Strammer Max, or tofel palatschinken, or a typical german breakfast consisting of a variety of sausage & cheese served with boiled eggs in an eggcup, fresh fruit, yogarts, cereals, and sweet breads and of course, fresh apple strudel.
The "Salzburg Room" is located on the second floor of the main Guesthouse. Decorated in soft mauve colors with a full private bath. Enjoy the sun rise from your balcony as you sip your morning coffee, or watch the stars come out while you share a glass of wine with your special someone. All guest rooms are spacious, comfortable and stylishly furnished, creating an intimate atmosphere where you can unwind and rejuvenate the senses. Suites have fireplaces and jacuzzi baths. Care has been taken to provide for your personal comfort and make you feel right at home.
Edelweiss Cabin & Chickadee Studio are comfortably elegant and designed for relaxation. The perfect couple get-away; stop off on a business trip or that special hide-away for the disconcerning couple. Each Unit has its own personality and equipped with a kitchen, King Bed and two person Jacuzzi bath-tub. All inclusive packages are available which include breakfast at the main guesthouse and dinner one night. Rooms are available nightly, weekly or monthly.

We were looking for a place to spend our anniversary and my husband found this great place. We took our children along and there was a pool there which the kids absolutely loved. Also there is a sauna whcih is a great way to unwind. The cabin was cozy and the food Mrs. Maringer prepared was excellent. We definitely will go back to this cozy and comfortable retreat.

Sadly, the owner's husband, who did most of the German cooking, died earlier this year, so the German cooking available is limited. Otherwise a great place- our little log cabin stayed cool without AC even in 90 degree heat.

I planned this getaway for my husband who loves german food but when we arrived the owner told us that becuase of Easter Sunday holiday the restaurant was closed. Huge dissappoinment because the restaurant was the main reason we went there. The owner was kind enough to allow us to cancel our reservation. However, at first she made it sound as if the whole thing was my fault because I never asked her if the restaurant was going to be open. Really?? Isn't her responsibility to put that information in the web site or at least notify me when she sent me the confirmation email. Overall, the first impression when you drive in is that the place is ran down and needs some work. The main house is small and not cozy at all. I am glad that things worked out the way it did...because it does not seem worth the price.

We had an excellent stay! The Meringer's are gracious hosts. We felt like we were visiting with old friends even though we had just met them. We look forward to staying there again and have already recommended it to several people. Our meals were delicious!
