Duckett House Inn & Farm

The Babbling Brook lulled us to sleep. Located in the Blue
Ridge Mountains on five gorgeous acres, bordering bold Spring
Creek and national forest land. The Duckett House is a turn
of the century folk Victorian farmhouse. With its large wrap
around porch and massive maple trees, there are many
spots to lie around and read or nap the afternoon away. For
the more adventuresome, there are hiking trails, including
the Appalachian Trail, or White Water Rafting on the scenic
French Broad river.

Late Summer / Early AutumnMid Summer looking towards the Inn from the Sorghum Field.

We plant the Sorghum cane in the Spring and in the fall we cut it, press it, and cook it down to make Sorghum Molasses. Sorghum is an old timey treat which we provide to our guests to put on our home made biscuits and pancakes. It also makes great gingerbread too!
Autumn's Glory surrounds the Inn providing our guests with the perfect hideaway from hustle and bustle of the daily grind.Summer in the garden. Statley sunflowers welcome guests to the garden, as corn ripens in the background near the barn
