Steve & Elizabeth are perfect hosts, attentive to every detail. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the decor perfectly detailed to match the era of the home. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Because the house is back away from the main road, it was quiet and restful in the house. Great value for the low prices they charge. We'll definitely return!

We (four adults) thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The historical house is a delight and close to downtown. The food and service was great. Best, was our wonderful hosts: Gracious, friendly and very interesting!

This is one exceptional bed and breakfast. Our every need (and then some) was met. Even snacks, water and juice were packed to take along on our daily sightseeing adventures. We were made to feel like family members. The breakfasts were creative and delicious. The table was set artistically and different every morning. The theme rooms were exceptionally creative.

A great place to come and relax and re-live moments of the Victorian Period. Service and meals were wonderful and our hosts were very accommodating. We will be back for sure!

Within minutes we felt at home! In addition to lovely hosts with a wealth of knowledge on local history and attractions, we have immensely enjoyed the house with its antique but very well kept decor, artifacts from around the worlds, and many stories... Everything about the house and its inhabitants is lovely! The story of the house is also fascinating! The rooms are all so very different, but they are filled with love and character that anyone would appreciate.

This was a wonderful pampered visit to our long forgotten history. The hosts were delightful and we enjoyed their hospitality and some very interesting conversation. The time and effort involved in the decor is staggering and well worth seeing. I can't imagine having a more enjoyable stay anywhere.

Outstanding Hospitality!! Having visited several B&B's, to include a Five Star, the Barker House Innkeepers are the VERY BEST we have every experienced! Elizabeth and Steven are simply superb and true treasures equipped with a wealth of knowledge and life experiences. Constantly looking after our every need with amazing attention to detail. They cultivated an atmosphere that made us feel as though we were truly at home. We were spoiled rotten druing out stay! Every room is elegantly decorated and the veranda a peaceful escape after our daily activities. When visiting the Hendersonville area again the Barker House will definitely be our place to stay.

The Innkeepers define gracious hospitality. No ammenity has been overlooked from fully stocked guest pantry to oppulent antiques in each room. This is a truly unique Inn with every attention to the guest's comfort. The common rooms are also a treasure trove of beautiful furnishings in a clean and comfortable setting and all of this at a reasonable price. It's perfect place for a getaway with so many nearby activities although it was hard to leave.

Wow! The attention to detail really makes the experience complete. This is exactly why we like B&Bs over hotels. Thank you so much for the wonderful visit and the pampering you gave us. You are a fun couple with some amazing experiences to share. We will be back!
