Feel like royalty in the Regal Room with the exquisite headboard of silk squares that covers the entire wall. The elegant king bed is flanked by crystal lamps with etched globes and the bath has a whirlpool tub for a totally pampered feeling.
You will feel like you are floating in the clouds with the angels in the Heavenly Haven room with it's soft shades of blues and the soft down king bed. The oversized shower is lighted with glass block of blue and the old claw foot tub is accented by an old wash stand updated for your pleasure.
The nostalgia of Gone With The Wind will re-kindle romance in the movie setting. The iron queen bed looks out at the images of Scarlett, Rhett and Mamie under an impressive ruby red crystall chandelier and Emerald green drapes with sea green valances and long gold fringe. The VCR and movie, GWTW, are available in this room designed for people with special needs. Wheelchair compatible.
Romantic as the movie, the GONE WITH THE WIND room has an electrified old fireplace, a 3 tier ruby crystal chandelier, the deep emerald green draperies with the fringed valences and a red satin bed skirt. The featherbed is a queen size and the full length windows make for a bright, cheery room. Satellite TV, a comfy chair and the big shower are all designed for people with special needs. Wheelchair compatible, first floor convenienc.
Warm colors of the TROPIC REREAT with the overhead netting and you can kick back and enjoy the waves lapping at your feet from the full size bed. Satellite TV, a conversation or game corner and a combined tub and shower complete the picture.
The wall to wall headboard simulates the throne of kingly guests in the Regal Room. Golden hues, crystal lamps, lots of pillows, satellite TV, comfy chairs, writing desk and a hot tub make this our most popular room and it's on the 1st floor.

Five acres of a tobacco farm with an 1850's home carefully renovated with charm. A collection of about 80 chimney lamps light the unique theme rooms. A Victorian parlor and dining room 24/7 beverages andsnacks, popcorn, movies, books games and puzzles oe you can explore tobacco memorbilia, depression glass. old teapots, etc. Plan to spend some time discovering the premises. It's so peaceful in the country and you can relax in the screened corn crib gazebo, the barn porch, in the hammock or rock your cares away on the wrap-a round porch. The innkeeper could not have been any nicer and the breakfast was delicious. We were disappointed with the first impression of the inn as their was a good bit of junk (tools lying around in cardboard boxes, etc.) and carved wooden pieces covered in cobwebs on the front porch. The decor in our bedroom appeared tacky to us. The commode had a ring in the bowl but maybe that was just iron deposits. I guess we are just use to more pristine accommodations at B&B's we have stayed at before. The price, however was very fair.

Traveling with elderly family member we chose a B&B for comfort. The Lamplight Inn was a comfortable and very easy to get around in. The food was delicious. Enjoyed our stay. Enjoyed the cats!

We stayed here last weekend while visiting Kerr Lake. Beautiful inn, with just the right combination of down-home coziness and modern amenities. And the breakfast was delicious! Highly recommended.

My husband and I needed a peaceful and relaxing night away and we got way more than expected! A lovely comfortable and clean room with all the amenities we could possibly need, a kitchen filled with incredible smells from Shirley's delicious cooking, warm ambience and hospitality. To top it all off, there is a screen covered gazebo on the grounds of the property where we sat for a while that night and listened to the sounds of the country- so quiet and serene. Thank you Shirley for this peaceful heavenly haven!

Flemingtown Rd,or Fleming Rd is 5 mi north of Henderson. Half way between New York and Atlanta at exit 220 on I-85. From the North I-95, Catch I-85 in Richmond to Exit 220. From the South I-95 take rte 40 to Raleigh 440 to US #1 and go North 45 miles to Flemingtown Road. Exit 220 is Flemingtown Rd and deadends at US #1 which goes immediately under I-85, thenm 1.5 miles to the property.
