The Groome Inn

  • Inn Details

We are Greensboro's best B&B and what a deal. We are located just off I-85. The historic hilltop farmhouse rests on eight acres of rolling green lawns and woods. Guests are encouraged to meander the grounds and gardens, full of native North Carolina flora, or sit and relax on the vast wraparound porch always cooled by a country breeze. The house was built by a Groome family member circa 1900 and was beautifully remodeled in 2005 by Jimmie and her children. This is a family business and we treat everyone like they are one of us. We really do get it!!!

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at the Groome Inn over Christmas. It was a great experiance! We enjoyed the beautiful property, the tasty breakfasts, Lela the resident 'inn-dog' and Jimmie's personality was warm and inviting. If you are in the Greensboro area and are lucky enough to have an extra night you MUST stay at the Groome Inn. You don't want to miss the Southern traditions that you'll have at the Groome Inn.

The family that runs this beautiful Inn were pivotal in making my daughters wedding everything she dreamed it would be. Jimmie and her daughters helped with everything, from setting up big screen TVs on the porch, so we could watch the derby, while still managing to keep the Inn spotless. Breakfast of french toast, eggs, fresh fruit and bagels was delicious. The country charm of this place with special care you receive will not disappoint.
