Only 1 thing would have made our trip better and that is a long stay at Glade Valley. Very comfortable, log home in a relaxed setting. We will be back!

My husband and I wanted to get away for a weekend to a nice Bed & Breakfast, something we have never done before. For our first B&B experience, we could not have chosen a better place! The room (Yosemite) was beautifully decorated and so comfortable. The bed was the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. It was a little chilly, but the fireplace helped greatly. And the living room was so nice too- I really enjoyed curling up by the fire with a good book. Margaret and Jim are phenomenal hosts- so friendly and down to earth. We were gone for a hike for most of the day on Saturday and when we returned, our room was fixed up nicely with plenty of fresh towels. And the food was amazing!! I am still dreaming about Margaret's apple french toast! I would highly recommend staying at Glade Valley B&B! We live in the Raleigh area, so it only took about 2 1/2 hours to get there and it was not hard to find. There is plenty to do- we drove into "town" (Sparta) for lunch & dinner and went hiking in Stone Mountain Park, which was just gorgeous. We cannot wait to return to Glade Valley B&B! See you soon Jim & Margaret!

We stay at Glade Valley B&B when we attend a music festival in the area. The breakfasts are out of this world. I never met a grit I liked until I met Margaret's cheese grits and as a baker she cant be matched! Our 3rd 4 day stay!

We actually could make ourselves as at home. After just a while it seemed as we knew Jim and Margaret since years; they are simply the best hosts we ever met before. Room was perfect and the location of the inn just superb! Breakfast was outstanding. We will definitively try to be back at least once! Javier & Vicky, 11/04/14

This cozy bed and breakfast is a hidden treasure in the beautiful NC mountains. The attention to detail, from the home baked cookies and lemonade upon arrival and the water and soft drinks in the refrigerator available throughout the day, to the myriad of travel brochures on hand made this one of the best b&b's we have ever stayed at. Margaret and Jim made us feel right at home and were extremely helpful in guiding us to restaurants and area attractions. Margaret's fresh, made from scratch breakfasts were scrumptious. The rockers on the front porch were inviting and relaxing. If you are looking for a quiet getaway, this is THE place for you. We stayed in the Yosemite room and it was perfect - jacuzzi tub, separate shower, ceiling fan, fireplace, and TV! The only negative thing we experienced during our stay here was the fact that we had to leave.
