We were only able to stay for one day at the Glade Valley B&B, but we sure wished we could have stayed longer. What a great place for a get away. Rooms & Beds were very nice. Everything was spotless. They also thought of every thing in the bedroom. Jim & Margaret could not have been better hosts. Breakfast was just the best Home cooked food served hot at a beautiful table. I'm telling eveyone about our stay. Thanks for the great stay. Art & Fran Bennett

This was my first visit to Glade Valley. I really enjoyed this bed and breakfast because Mr. and Mrs. Connor are such good people. They are kind, professional and warm - you cannot put a price on that. The bed and breakfast they run is comfortable, beautiful, spotless, calm, clean, quiet and an absolute delight with an incredible breakfast every morning. I also was delightfully surprised at how kind everyone in town was, we traveled to Sparta once a day during our stay and each day we met the nicest people. Thank you so much for a much needed escape from the big city, I will be back to re-energize soon!!

My husband brought me here for my birthday and it was wonderful. The room was spacious and they had a huge bathtub! The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. I can't believe Margaret made SO much food for us. Eggs, cinnamon buns, biscuits, ham, sausage, baked apples and cheese grits. And all the while chatted away and made us feel like old friends.

My husband planned a motorcycle trip in the mountains and searched for a B&B that would be halfway up the Blue Ridge Parkway. I admit I was a bit nervous about what to expect, since I hadn't gotten involved. The website certainly made Glade Valley B&B look very appealing, but wait for when you ride up and see it in person! Absolutely beautiful and in a spectacular setting! Then, once you go inside, every room is prettier than the one you just walked out of! The whole house is just gorgeous and the setting is so very peaceful. Jim and Margaret are the best!! Lovely people who want your stay to be spectacular...and that is exactly what it was! The breakfasts were out of this world...a huge breakfast and all delicious! The little extra things Jim and Margaret do to make your stay wonderful are very special. The only thing that we were disappointed about was the lack of restaurants anywhere in a nearby town. We should have checked that out before our trip because we would have added dinner to our B&B stay package. Other than that, this is a B&B you don't want to miss staying at if you are planning to be in the NC area and near the Blue Ridge Parkway. We were 100% happy customers and thrilled with our stay!
Thank you for a very nice review. We certainly appreciate all the kind words that you wrote. Addressing the lack of restaurants in our are; We have several good restaurants in our little town of Sparta, NC. Have: Mexican, Japanese, All American, Home Cooking, along with several fast food places. I'm not sure the night this guest was here, on Sunday's and Monday's the selection is smaller but still a nice assortment. We frequently have our guest tell us how much they enjoyed eating in Sparta. We have menus here to share with our guest before they head out and can tell them a bit about each of them. I do hope the writer of this review returns someday and we can direct them to some great eating.
