  • Burke Manor Inn, built in 1906 was completely restored in 1999 and invites you to come experience her grandeur. Designed with you in mind the inn offers privacy and the rooms have all the amenities expected. We are worlds away just down the street.
    Your experience at the Burke Manor is all about you. You may have your breakfast in your room, the dining room or on the verandah. We sit on 3.5 acres and have beautiful gardens, huge Magnolia trees and lots of singing birds.
    We are also known as the best location in the area for a wedding and reception. Our 4200 square foot pavilion has a permanent floor, is heated and has a black and white acrylic dance floor. This pavilion is also used for corporate parties and events held at the inn. Pictured is the horse drawn carriage that is frequently seen at the Inn.
    The main staircase, parlors, dining rooms are all accessible from the front foyer. This foyer has 17 inch crown and dentil work.
    Tucked away on the main floor, Room 101 is good for those that do not do stairs, those that need a pull out sofa bed or those that want the Hydro therapy massage shower.
    The beautiful 4200 square foot pavilion is elegant for any occasion. It has 24 foot arched ceilings, permanent flooring and is used year round. It will seat up to 300.
    Room 201,beautifully restored, it is a delight to enjoy this historically significant room on the second floor. It has a cherry high poster queen bed, with champagne and burgundy colors, and a large bathroom with a standard size soaking tub and separate shower. The bathroom features the beautiful, original porcelain tile of the late 20's. In this room, as in all rooms, you will find high thread count pressed linens, hair dryers, robes, complimentary drinks and a thermostat to control your heat and air. It also has a flat screen TV/DVD with a full offering of channels, complimentary high speed wireless internet.
    Room 202 is a very bright and cheery room with hints of lavender and deep purples, yet very tailored in design. It features a high poster banana leaf carved queen bed and coordinating furnishings. The bathroom is rich with the deep purple wall coverings and features a hydro-therapy massage shower system. The five adjustable shower heads deliver a shower that is unbelievable. As in all rooms, you will find high thread count pressed linens, hair dryers, robes, complimentary drinks and a thermostat to control your heat and air. It also has flat screen TV/DVD with a full offering of channels and complimentary high speed wireless internet.
    Suite 203 is a favorite among our guests. With huge magnolia trees just outside the window. It features a king sleigh bed, love seat sofa, and dining table - but the bath is what really sets it apart. The bath includes a deep two person jacuzzi tub and separate shower. It has a private balcony over the veranda. As in all rooms, you will find high thread count pressed linens, hair dryers, robes, complimentary drinks and a thermostat to control your heat and air. It also has flat screen TV/DVD with a full offering of channels and complimentary high speed wireless internet.
    Room 205 is a bright room with Provencal colors of yellow, orange, and purple located on the back side of the Inn. It features a queen black iron bed, a standard size jacuzzi tub and corner shower. As in all rooms, you will find high thread count pressed linens, hair dryers, robes, complimentary drinks and a thermostat to control your heat and air. It also has a flat screen TV/DVD with a full offering of channel and complimentary high speed wireless internet.
    One of our premium rooms, the Paris Cottage, located just steps from the main Inn. A California king bed, fireplace, and deep two person Jacuzzi air and water jet tub make this a extremely popular. Deep reds and golds, with some French accents of course, compliment the walls which are covered in original beaded wood from the main Inn. As in all rooms, you will find high thread count pressed linens, hair dryers, robes, complimentary drinks and a thermostat to control your heat and air. The convenience of a fridge and coffee maker and a private patio at the entrance makes for a nice private accommodation. This unit is configured to open to the adjoining Back (Provence) Cottage if needed for a family or two couples. Call for info.
    Room 204 has just been updated with a queen cherry four poster bed, soft greens, golds and burgundy with a little wine motif making this room extremely comfortable and relaxing. The bath was originally a large walk-in closet and separate cedar closet which now features a hydro-therapy massage shower system built into the original cedar. As in all rooms, you will find high thread count pressed linens, hair dryers, robes, complimentary drinks and a thermostat to control your heat and air. It also has a flat screen TV/DVD with a full offering of channels and complimentary high speed wireless internet.

    Romantic Getaway

    The Burke Manor Inn is in a small NC town that used to be a mill town. The inn is an elegant old, Victorian home that was built by one of the mill heirs. It is within easy walking distance to the charm of the old town. Our room was very nice even though it suffered a bit from the fact that it was originally built as a single bedroom. The highlight is the wonderful breakfast and spectacular dinners offered at the Inn. Another highlight is the ease with which the staff ferets out your interests and recommends outings during the day. Don't fail to have dinner while you are there.

    Peaceful place to rest

    We enjoyed the large front porch as it was so cool surrounded by huge magnolia trees. The crype myrtles were beautiful. It is so close to the interstae but once you step into the yard it a cool, restful place. Our room was decorated with yellow and lavendar, so relaxing. The best part was the friendliness making us feel at home. The food was delicious and so pretty with fresh fruit and herbs. We had a restful time there. stayed July 28

    The Perch is in a world of its own, secluded on the 3rd floor. This 450 square foot room features a king bed, deep two person 90 gal, jacuzzi tub, separate shower, dimmers on the lights, candles and robes.
