In the midst of one of the city's most prestigious neighborhoods, a completely renovated colonial revival mansion is the grand dame of Charlotte and serves as an historic inn and meeting place.     I-77 Northbound: Follow I-77 North to the John Belk Freeway (exit 9B). Take the Third Street exit. Turn right at the bottom of the exit onto Third Street. Follow Third Street for approximately one mile. Third Street will then turn into Providence Road. Proceed on Providence Road until you reach the stop light at the Crown Gas Station and Cherokee Road. Go through the light and turn right onto Ardsley Road. Follow Ardsley to the stop sign and then turn right onto Hermitage Road. Proceed on Hermitage until you see a fork in the road-bear left and immediately enter the gated driveway on the left. Follow the drive up to The Duke Mansion parking area. I-77 Southbound: Follow I-77 South to the Brookshire Freeway (exit 11A, the sign also says 277/16 and Downtown). Follow the Brookshire Freeway until it becomes the John Belk Freeway. Take the Fourth Street/Third Street exit (exit 2A). Make a left U-turn at the light and then turn left at the next light onto Third Street. Go through six stop lights (note:Third Street becomes Providence Road). Immediately after the sixth stop light, turn right on Ardsley Road. Follow Ardsley to the stop sign and then turn right onto Hermitage Road. Proceed on Hermitage until you see a fork in the road-bear left and immediately enter the gated driveway on the left. Follow the drive up to The Duke Mansion parking area.

    Leave the Airport and merge left on to Billy Graham Parkway. Turn right at the first light onto Boyer Road (formerly Old Dowd Road). At the next light turn right onto Wilkinson Boulevard. Go approximately 3 miles and merge left onto the John Belk Freeway until you reach the Third Street exit. Take the Third Street exit (exit 2A, the sign also says Kenilworth Avenue and Fourth Street). Turn right at the bottom of the exit onto Third Street. Go through five stop lights (note: Third Street becomes Providence Road). Immediately after the fifth stop light, turn right on Ardsley Road. Follow Ardsley to the stop sign and then turn right onto Hermitage Road. Proceed on Hermitage until you see a fork in the road-bear left and immediately enter the gated driveway on the left. Follow the drive up to The Duke Mansion parking area.
