Bad weather but a great weekend

4.8 on May 10, 2015

Nobody controls the weather, but the Lovill House gave us a marvelous 30th anniversary. Excellent food and a delightful room in the cottage behind the main house. Would definitely stay there again.

Boone visit

Spent week-end in Boone. Great location, great hosts and great breakfasts. Highly recommend when staying in the Boone area.

Great experience

We had a wonderful time last weekend at Lovill House Inn, Scott and Ann did a great job of making us feel welcome. Lovill House is rich with history. It is peaceful and the food is awesome! I would recommend this Inn for anyone who wants to experience the beauty and solitude of the mountains of NC. It is a beautiful time of year to visit with all the spring color. There are lots of great places to visit in Boone and Blowing Rock which is very closeby.....Jeanine

Fabulous B&B!

5 on April 17, 2015

We were in town for a tournament with our high school-aged son, stayed in the Bristol room on the first floor, which had the most lovely wood fireplace and ambiance. The legislation that established Appalachian State University was written in that room! The grounds are beautifully maintained, breakfast was wonderful. An idyll!

Wonderful stay!

4.8 on April 15, 2015

The inn is charming, perfectly situated close to restaurants. The innkeepers gave a quick tour of the inn, made us feel welcome. Unlike some B&Bs, we had access to the kitchen at all hours except for breakfast time -- which by the way was outstanding. Delicious! The room was cozy and comfortable, all the amenities you could want. Great place to stay in Boone.

Good choice

4.4 on April 14, 2015

The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The best part for us was the location-walking distance from downtown Boone and some good restaurants. The cost was reasonable.

Best of the Best!

We found this Bed and Breakfast online. My husband and I love to stay at B&B's and quaint Inns and have frequented these type of places all over the US and abroad. This is our newfound favorite! Our room was delightful and our stay for 3 nights absolutely perfect. The Innkeepers are the best and every detail is thought of and executed with much love and care. The breakfast served each morning was delicious and servings were just right. We prefer to walk while vacationing and it is an easy walk into downtown to eat or shop (or a really quick drive for those who would rather drive). Enjoyed lovely meals and unique shops. Already planning our next trip back to this lovely place!! Highly recommend!!

Outstanding service at an outstanding property

4.6 on April 05, 2015

The property at Lovill House is immaculate! It is well manicured, with beautiful landscaping and a waterfall up the hill from the house. Its location allowed us to walk to downtown Boone and enjoy the fine dining, history, and the scenery it has to offer. We stayed in the Bristol room, and it was beautiful, historic, and very clean. The innkeepers, Scott and Ann, were the difference maker. Their kindness and courtesy was only barely trumped by their excellent service. They were engaging and very good at anticipating our needs. The breakfast they served us was not generic. It was a well thought out, delicious meal. Lovell House can be romantic for sure, but with it being so close to downtown Boone, it can also be fun and relaxing, if you just want to get away for a few days, as we did. We highly recommend Lovill House!

Great Stay in Boone!

Visited for my wife's birthday. She had a great time and so did I. Will suggest a stay at the Louvill house for everyone I know looking a great getaway. Scott and Ann (along with Heidi) are super nice folks and they have a beautiful inn, full of history and charm. Super breakfast on Sunday morning. We both enjoyed our stay and our visit with the other guests as well.

Wonderful location and fabulous accommodations.
