Lovill House Inn
-
Meticulously maintained 1875 farmhouse, combining old world historic charm with today's modern conveniences. In-town rural inn. Close and convenient location to everything, without being immersed in town. Set on 11 wooded acres and secluded on all sides of the property.
Another romantic evening at the Lovill House Inn! Six spacious rooms including one cottage. Full private parking lot. All rooms have fireplaces in room or access to the common area fireplace 15 Sept thru 1 May. Two rooms have propane fireplaces year round.
The Baldwin, newly rennovated, new king sized bed, in an airy and sunny room, located on the inn's 2nd floor. Full private bath, work desk area, with WiFi, TV/VCR/DVD players and full amenities.
ABC's of Romance Package. "A" bottle of champagne, wine or sparkling cider from our cellar, a "B"ouquet of fresh cut flowers, and "C"hocolate dipped strawberries, served for two for $45. Treat the special person in your life.
Gather around the fire for social hour. Hor's douerves, and an open fridge for drinks including several wines, beers, sodas, and lemonade or cider.
Spring House Room is one of six rooms, unique as our only cottage. Very romantic and private, with queen sized bed, full private bath and private deck, propane fireplace, TV/VCR and WiFi, desk work area and coffee/tea station. Beautiful garden views looking out. Private drive.
The Lenoir room has a queen size bed, is upstairs in the inn, and receives the most light of all our rooms. The love seat faces the TV/VCR cabinet. The room also has a full private bath, Wifi capability, secluded views, and in room heat and overhead fan controls. Always cheery and sunny even on bad weather or gloomy days.
The Hickory room is our largest room. This photo encompasses one third of it including the the queen sized bed, sofa couch that can fold out to provide a second bed or a third person, and the propane fireplace (available year round). Also has TV/VCR/DVD cabinet, Wifi, working desk, overhead fan, and two room full bath. Perfect for stretching out or to accomodate 3 people.
The Spring House is our cottage, and only room not in the inn. This is our choice for the romantics. It has its own parking apron, is level in its approach, exceptionally quiet, yet close to the inn for all your needs. A private deck and year round propane fireplace help make it a special choice!
The wrap around porch is a favorite place to gather to meet new friends, listen to the birds, or read that favorite book of yours. The rocking chairs beckon, breezy and cool....rain or shine folks gather to enjoy the scenery and fresh mountain air!
Welcome to the Lovill House Inn! The foyer where we welcome our guests. The distinctive original maple floors are complimented by wormy chesnut beams, arches, doors and doorframes with glass etchings. Warm and inviting. A wood workers delight.
Open all year round, we average over 40 inches of snow throughout the winter, and have 4 major ski resorts anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes away. Roads are kept in great shape. Fireplace rooms available.
The living room with fireplace, local menus, newspapers, library and game area. On the other side of the archway with designed with wormy chestnut wood is our dining room, with tables available for cards and games in the evening. These common areas are full guest use.
Morning sun rising over the Lovill House. Protected and secluded on three sides by wooded mountain ridges, discreetly hidden from the road by 140 hemlocks in an 18 ft hedge. Close to Old Town Boone, but located far enough away for quiet and privacy.
Bristol Room: with wood burning fireplace, king size bed, full private bath, work desk and loveseat sofa. Sleeps two. On the ground floor. Restored original wide pine plank flooring and wormy chestnut beams. A wood lovers delight!

5 out of 5A slice of heaven
April 29, 2013
We spent 4 days and 3 nights at the Lovill House Inn from April 21st thru April 24th. The grounds were perfectly manicured and beautiful. The Springhouse Cottage was very cozy. The cottage was immaculate. Scott and Anne were very attentive to our request for privacy. Scott delivered coffee to our cottage each morning and was always cheerful and most accommodating when questioned about area attractions and dining options. The experience far exceeded our expectations. Our visit was much too short but we will surely return. We didn't utilize the dining room every day but when we did the variety and quality of food offered was excellent. There isn't much more we can say other than try it you'll like it. Thanks Anne and Scott for a great experience and for sharing your slice of heaven with us.

4.8 out of 5Lovill House is an idyllic place to stay in Boone
April 11, 2013
Lovill House was not only ideal in it's location to enjoy Boone and the surrounding area, but it was a beautiful place to spend time in. We were welcomed from the moment we arrived and all our needs were met with care and attention. Our room far exceeded our expectations and the breakfasts were outstanding. Every day there was something new and unique on the menu, cooked to perfection for us to enjoy. We will wholeheartedly be recommending Lovill House to family & friends and may even be back ourselves! Thank you.
5 out of 5A Lovely Stay at the Lovill House Inn
April 09, 2013
My wife and I stayed there recently for our anniversary and it was spectacular. We were greeted with such warmth that it felt like we were family. It is a beautiful and historic home.
5 out of 5Better than I imagined a B&B could be!
March 29, 2013
My wife and I were celebrating our first anniversary, so I surprised her with a trip to this lovely and picturesque B&B just outside downtown Boone. When I made the reservation on their website, there was limited room available, so I took the only room they had. I also ordered a couple of optional services (champagne and handmade chocolate covered strawberries after dinner the first night, and an hour-long massage followed by champagne and a meat/cheese tray on the second day). I then received a call from Scott confirming the reservation and scheduling for the options. A little later on, I received an email from Anne offering us an upgrade to the Hickory room. Apparently they had a last minute cancellation, and since it was our anniversary, they offered it to us first. It was PERFECT!!! It had a switch-on fireplace, loveseat, and beautiful decor. Scott and Anne were amazing hosts, and the breakfast was spectacular! On our last day, we were the only ones in the house, so Anne asked us the day before what we liked for breakfast, and she made a custom breakfast for each of us! We WILL be returning! The Lovill is certainly more expensive than most hotels I've stayed at in Boone, but the obvious love that Scott and Anne put into their service make it really feel like going home.
