Bella Luna Inn

Visited the Bella Luna Inn for the first time last week while visiting WWC with my daughter. This was a Fabulous find just about 10 minutes away from the College and Asheville's downtown area. The rooms are spacious and beautifully furnished. We had the luxury of looking at all the rooms and everyone is tastefully decorated. It is located in a quiet neighborhood setting with only a slight hint of the highway a couple miles away. Brad and Cynthia are open and easy-going innkeepers who welcome warmly but don't hover. Brad made a great recommendation of restaurants in the Black Mtn. area but we were particularly impressed with the Greek restaurant he recommended when we decided to dine in downtown Asheville. I particularly enjoyed the "help yourself" glass of wine upon arrival at the Bella Luna after a long afternoon of travel. We will make this our regular stay when visiting our daughter at College. thank you Brad and Cynthia for a very comfortable stay !!

We had a great time at Bella Luna--it's so well-located, and Brad and Cynthia are very laid back and friendly. Room was big and clean, space is lovely and inviting--we sat on the couch in the living room for hours! Breakfast was tasty, too. It's not super-luxurious but still really nice with interesting pieces like a headboard made from an old iron gate and great old bathtubs. There were only 3 rooms occupied (it's early) so it may be more hectic if it's full, but we felt welcomed like old friends.

Pre Christmas get-a-way to relax and tour the candlelight Christmas at the Biltmoor. We stayed 4 nights at the Bella Luna. We were greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy stay. Breakfasts were plentiful and delicious! The room was warm and comfortable. Unfortunately we got snowed in which meant another night at the Bella Luna in front of the fire enjoying the chilled wine. It was tough but we made the best out of it. Thank you Brad and Cynthia for a peaceful cozy get-a-way. We will be back!

My husband and I came for a visit to Black Mountain to enjoy the fall colors. We had a wonderful time, and stay at the Bella Luna. The organic sausage egg strata was excellent. The rooms are are nicely decorated and very comfortable. And the Inn Keepers and staff are helpful and I very much enjoyed there southern hospitality.

We arrived later in evening from Asheville, so understandably there was no one there to meet us (I called to let innkeeper know) and a note with directions to our room was left on the door. Exhausted, the bed was very comfortable and we rested well. Expecting to meet the innkeepers in the morning, we came from the room to an empty house (again) and sat in the sun room reading until other guests emerged and suggested we move to the breakfast table. Served by a young lady who acted more as a waitress than a hostess, the breakfast was very average and did not include a meat (which my husband always looks forward to). When we were ready to check out, again there was no one to be found in the house. Standing on the front porch I called the innkeepers cell phone to let her know we would like to check out (pay them!). She came from a neighbors' house to run our CC . . . this was the first we met. We've had so many positive B&B experiences, but found this to be disappointing. Unfortunately, we won't be staying with them again.

We were pleasantly surprised at the "Homey" feeling of the Bella Luna, the owners seem to just let you "live there" without undue interference. It was a rainy weekend and the screen porch made a perfect place for visiting with our friends from England and Scottland who were here for a family wedding. Some B&B's we have stayed in made you feel that you needed to "go do something else" during the day, but we all found the accomodations comfortable for sleeping, and "hanging out".. The Breakfast were just "gourmet" enough to be interesting but still satifying to a southerner! Thank you for getting it right!

My husband and I stayed overnight at Bella Luna Inn in April. While it was a last minute find, we would return to stay here for a vacation at any chance we could get. Our hosts were extremely attentive and helpful. Our room was extremely clean and so quaint - equipped with hot tub and our own little private porch. And our breakfast was delicious. WE LOVED OUR STAY and would recommend this place to anyone wanting a romantic get-away. Kelly and Trish

Had a great anniversary weekend at the Inn. Good place to unwind, relax and enjoy the solitude. Food was outstanding. Would revisit in the future.

Charming, tastefully furnished and well run, we spent three nights in early March with a friend from France. We enjoyed ourselves immensely. Cynthia and Brad know what they are doing. So many inns try the Cracker Barrel approach and ruin the experience with kitsch and silk flowers. Not here. Everything is lovely and modest. The inn is at the end of a little road right not far from the interstate. When you start on Terry Estate Road, do not be disappointed - the trees soon close around the road then you come to the bungalows that are charming and inviting. The inn itself has lovely porches and terraces to relax and unwind. The Brashers and their helper Kathleen cook a mean breakfast, too, with all the details you can imagine. Also, when you arrive, there is a bottle of wine offered and ready to enjoy - a nice bonus since Black Mountain has limited watering holes. The couple recommended a great and heart thumping hike up Lookout Mountain in nearby Montreat and a super meal at Rezza in nearby Biltmore Village. Both are skilled gardeners and foodies who are a delight to be around. And, if you ask, you can help them spread fertilizer (bull's brand) in the herb garden. Brad pulled up with a truck full during our visit. Never before was so much B.S. welcome from an innkeeper.

Traveling back to Black Mountain for three mid-March nights, we booked two upstairs rooms for us and our "tween" girls, largely based on the photos. From the moment we pulled up, we were thrilled. Brad and Cynthia are wonderfully gracious, very welcoming, and made our stay a delight. The rooms were spotless, our four poster snug and comfy, cheery despite the overcast, rainy cold days. Each morning began with one of Cynthia's marvelously cooked full breakfasts. Between excursions, our girls lounged happily in their twin bed rooom; they loved the step in tiled shower as well as the indulgent natural bathing products. Nightly we enjoyed lighting the fire in the fireplace Brad left stacked for us. Bella Luna is charming and well appointed, furnished in excellent taste appropriate to the space but not at all pretentious. We look forward to returning. Allison and Allan- Pennsylvania

The moment I arrived, I knew Bella Luna Inn was a special place. Proprietors Brad and Cynthia are wonderful, big-hearted people experienced in pleasing guests. Their inn epitomizes southern charm and hospitality. The food is delicious, the atmosphere comfortable and homey, the grounds beautiful. The inn is situated for easy access to all that Black Mountain and Asheville have to offer. Bella Luna Inn is a haven unmatched in my travels.

Though my husband and I spent most of our time hiking and discovering the beautiful fall scenery, we enjoyed returning to this home in the evening, lighting the fire and enjoying the comforts of home. Our hosts were young and professional. We'd do it again!

My husband and our 2 teens stayed here 2 nights and we are so glad we did. The owners were so in tune with what we all needed; were great to give us recommendations/directions to nearby points of interest. Breakfast was incredible-my entire family sitting at one meal together and I didn't do any of the work! We highly recommend BellaLuna and will visit again.

My husband and I took our 18 month old daughter with us to our 5 year reunion at Montreat college. Brad and Cynthia were extremely friendly and very helpful when it came to meeting our daughter's needs. They even served her a small plate of her own for breakfast. We loved the room, the inn and the owners. It was a wonderful week-end and we can't wait to go back. I have told everyone I know that the Bella Luna Inn is the place to be in Black Mountain.

My husband and I got engaged at the Bella Luna and will be spending our first anniversary there as well. Brad and Cynthia are wonderful, the food is amazing, and the inn is charming, romantic, and comfortable. We're life long customers!
