Hawk and Ivy Holistic Country B&B and Retreat

  • Inn Details

Come experience Asheville’s oldest eco bed and breakfast located on 24 glorious acres in the mountains of Western North Carolina. Our guests rave about their healthy gourmet breakfasts and the lovely flower arrangements. The organic gardens are central to what we do, nurturing both the body and soul with fresh flowers, herbs, vegetables, and delicious berries. A stroll on the property reveals wildflower meadows, mountain views, a pond, and our barn, a perfect place for weddings, or just a quiet cup of coffee watching wild turkeys or deer in the meadow. So close to Asheville, yet truly a world apart.

I spent the 4th of July weekend with a James & Eve Davis at the Hawk and Ivy. I stayed in the room in the house and was so refreshed by the beautiful surroundings, comfortable bed, glorious food and excellent company. Amazing breakfasts with other guests and the hosts family style in the large country kitchen. A stroll in the gardens on my last day to pick berries to take home was great fun, and special for me since I walk with crutches, but Eve assisted me up the path and gave me a basket and let me go. What Bliss! I was able to drive to Asheville and spend time with old friends, and return to a quiet, peaceful night, with the cool mountain air, so clean, to breathe through the night, waking to birdsong in the early morning light, to start all over again. I shall return!!

I fell in love with this lovely setting and this B&B. Eve and James are the perfect innkeepers and the setting allows all stress to just fall away. The fresh organic breakfast started each day and visiting over the table such fun. Perfect getaway if you need to unwind and relax and soak in the quiet and tranquility of the mountains. The cottage is quaint and very comfortable - exactly what I was looking for.
