Valle Crucis, North Carolina has been attracting settlers and travelers alike, for nearly 200 years. Taylor House Inn is a Bed & Beakfast and, with the majestic surrounding valley scene and the beautiful herb garden, it is the perfect place to spend some quality time as well as to host an outdoor wedding or any other event. We at the Taylor House Inn invite you to come and experience a place that seems one of times past, a place where moments of solitude are as abundant as the rivers and streams that give life to the surrounding hills. We feel fortunate to be part of such a powerful place and would like to extend our hospitality to help share the magic of Valle Crucis.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Taylor House inn so very much. The house is beautiful, set in picturesque farm land, and we were greeted as soon as we arrived with pumpkin pie and hot cocoa. Our room was so quaint and so clean. Our sheets felt amazing and the tub was so clean that I didn't hesitate to take a warm bath before bed. The best part? The delicious breakfast! Tessa Russo can cook!!! And it was all presented and served so nicely. We made great memories and we want to return :)

My wife and I took a short trip to the mountains and stayed at the Taylor House Inn. We stayed in the Squire Taylor Suite on the first floor. It was absolutely a wonderful experience. Tessa and Bernard made us feel welcome and made us feel like we were wanted and appreciated. The room was outstanding. Warm and cozy with a fireplace. The bed slept better than what we have a home. We can't wait to go back. Also Tessa's cooking is wonderful. Overall it was a perfect experience.
The Squire Taylor's First Floor Suite is tucked away in the rhododendron on the western side of the house, overlooking a gazebo. An elegant king size pencil post bed is paired with a slatted walnut daybed, each with a down comforter and colorful quilts. The large bathroom has an original claw foot tub with shower. The suite has its own private sitting area with a gas chimney and Satelite TV.
Aunt Sue's Room is one of our largest guest rooms, located on the front west corner of the second floor. Two large sets of windows overlook gazebo to the west and to the front is a peaceful view of the Valle and Dutch Creek. A high king size iron bed like Grandmother's with a down comforter and hand made quilt make for all the comforts of yesteryear.
This cozy guest room, Aunt Doris's Room is tucked away on the west side of the house on the second floor. Cool mountain mornings and our gracefully curved wooden king size bed with down comforter and patchwork quilt are great for sleeping late. The wicker set of chairs overlooks our gazebo. This large step down bathroom also has an original claw foot tub with shower.
Uncle Gilbert's Room 3, on the second floor, is nestled in the back of the house on the east side. This guest room has a majestic king size bed and is shaded by an old hemlock. Beneath two large windows is the stone terrace and flower gardens with numerous butterflies and finches. Room 3 is adjacent to Room 4 and can accommodate families.
Gordon & Henry's Room 4, on the second floor, is on the east side of the house and has two exquisite white wooden queen size beds. Its large window overlooks also the stone terrace and flower gardens. This room adjoining Room 3, makes an ideal accommodation for a family; its bathroom is down the hall.
The Little Room in the Red Cottage has its own delightful charm. The big window gives you a view of the old historical barn of the Valle. The access to its private entrance is through the flower gardens and is completely independent from the Red Cottage. The Little Room has a queen size bed, a wicker settee and a private bath with shower.Free Wi-Fi internet, free phone calls throughout the US & AC.
Aunt Nancy's Room 5, overlooks the entrance as well as the wonderful pastoral views of the Valle. Its white wooden king size bed with a down comforter and hand made quilt invites you to a beautiful rest. Two white wicker chairs set between the large windows are the perfect place for a quiet and relaxing moment.
