Valle Crucis, North Carolina has been attracting settlers and travelers alike, for nearly 200 years. Taylor House Inn is a Bed & Beakfast and, with the majestic surrounding valley scene and the beautiful herb garden, it is the perfect place to spend some quality time as well as to host an outdoor wedding or any other event. We at the Taylor House Inn invite you to come and experience a place that seems one of times past, a place where moments of solitude are as abundant as the rivers and streams that give life to the surrounding hills. We feel fortunate to be part of such a powerful place and would like to extend our hospitality to help share the magic of Valle Crucis.

We had two delightful days in Room No. 1 with a king size bed. Tessa and Bernard were very accommodating, providing afternoon teas and snacks, and assisting with dinner recommendations. The home is exceptionally clean and pleasant. Would highly recommend.

We thoroughly enjoyed our two nights at this inn. It is in a rural area but there is plenty to do in the surrounding area. Bernard, the innkeeper was so helpful planning our day and was able to map out where we should go. He advised us on where to eat and even called ahead so that we wouldn't have to wait for a table. Breakfast was excellent both mornings. We were there on Mother's day so we even had mimosas and roses. Such a wonderful touch. We stayed in Uncle Gilberts room which was in the back of the house and very quiet.I would highly recommend this inn for adults.

A warm and gentile welcome to Taylor House Inn by Bernard and Tessa upon our arrival was a signal to us that our choice in lodgings was a good one! Taylor House is well maintained with no compromise to the style and integrity of the stately home. Daily maid service was an unexpected surprise! The delicious breakfasts were served 'a la Downton Abbey' with lovely formal place settings, yet the atmosphere was relaxed which encouraged friendly chatter with fellow guests. A special treat on Sundays - mimosas! A most delightful experience. My only regret was that our stay was too short. We will be back.
