    The Squire Taylor's Suite,First Floor Suite, is tucked away in the rhododendron on the western side of the house, overlooking a gazebo and herb garden. An elegant king size pencil post bed is paired with a slatted walnut daybed, each with a down comforter and colorful quilts. The large bathroom has an original claw foot tub with shower. The suite has its own private sitting area with a gas chimney and TV. Free Wi-Fi internet, free phone calls throughout the US & AC. Additional fee of $25 per day for third person.

    Aunt Sue's Room is one of our largest guest rooms, located on the front west corner of the second floor. Two large sets of windows overlook gazebo to the west and to the front is a peaceful view of the Valle and Dutch Creek. A high king size iron bed like Grandmother's with a down comforter and hand made quilt make for all the comforts of yesteryear. Free Wi-Fi internet, free phone calls throughout the US & AC.

    Reservation Policy

    • Check in: between 3-8 pm    Check out: 11 am

    • Deposit amount required: A deposit of at least 1 night stay is required for reservation.

    • Cancellations: "Important Note": Due to the size of our Inn and our limited availability, cancellations affect us considerably. Guests are responsible for full payment for all nights reserved. A deposit of on one night minimum or a 50% deposit of all nights reserved will be charged to the credit card provided at time of reservation. Your deposit indicates acceptance of our policy. A 14 day cancellation notice before your scheduled date of arrival, is required to receive a refund of your deposit less a $35.00 cancellation fee (30 days in October). Should you cancel less than 14 days prior to arrival, you will be held financially responsible for the entire reservation and your credit card billed for the total balance of your stay. This policy is applied 100% of the time and this regardless of the reason, gravity of the cause, or nature of the emergency. However, we will try our best to rebook your room. If we are able to partially or fully re-rent the room then a partial or full refund of the payment will be refunded to your credit card, plus a $35 processing fee. If you feel this might be an issue, you may want to purchase "travel cancellation or interruption insurance" from one of the many reputable insurance companies which provide that coverage. One supplier of this type of insurance is https://www.globaltravelshield.com If you do not agree to these conditions and terms please advise us within 48 hours of the date and time at which this email was sent, for a full refund of your deposit, minus an automatic $35.00 processing fee.

    We were there for only 1 night for my wife's birthday. Tessa & Bernard were outstanding hosts. They upgraded our room for my wife's birthday - no extra cost! We enjoyed our stay - it was perfect for our 1 night; we will stay again and recommend.

    Lovely place 15 minutes outside of Boone and Banner Elk, NC. It was a wonderful stay, great room, and charming owners. I will be going back next time I ski Sugar Mnt.

    The rooms were chilly. I woke up several times and was cold. The hot water was great however. Filled up the bathtub and never ran out. Would go back, but would pick a room that wasn't on the1st floor.

    The owners are wonderful hosts. The house is in a wonderful rural area within a short driving distance to the ski sloped and the Mast General Store. It was simply wonderful and we will return.
