Aunt Sue's Room,Room 1,is one of the largest guest rooms, located on the front west corner of the second floor. Two large sets of windows overlook the herb garden and gazebo to the west; to the front is a peaceful view of the Valle and Dutch Creek. A high king size iron bed like Grandmother’s with a down comforter and hand made quilt make for all comforts of yesteryear. Aunt Doris's Room, Room 2, a cozy guest room, is tucked away on the west side of the house on the second floor. Cool mountain mornings and our gracefully curved wooden king size bed with down comforter and patchwork quilt are great for sleeping late. The wicker set of chairs overlooks our gazebo and herb garden. This large step down bathroom also has an original claw foot tub with shower. Gordon & Henry's Room, Room 4, on the second floor, is on the east side of the house and has two exquisite white wooden queen size beds. Its large window overlooks also the stone terrace and flower gardens. This room adjoining Uncle Gilbert's Room, makes an ideal accommodation for a family; its large private bathroom is conviently located down the hall. Free WiFi and phone calls. Uncle Gilbert's Room, Room 3, on the second floor, is nestled in the back of the house on the east side. This guest room has a majestic king size bed and is shaded by an old hemlock. Aunt Nancy's Room, Room 5, overlooks the entrance as well as the wonderful pastoral views of the Valle. Its white wooden king size bed with a down comforter and hand made quilt invites you to a beautiful rest. The Flower Cottage is separated from the main house with its own private entrance. Nested against the hill, on the west side of the property, it has a quaint one bedroom with queen bed, AC and private bath with shower. $119-$99 May through October $99-$84 November through April
The Little Room in the Red Cottage has its own delightful charm. The big window gives you a view of the old historical barn of the Valle. The access to its private entrance is through the flower gardens and is completely independent from the Red Cottage. We had the wonderful opportunity to celebrate our thirty ninth wedding anniversary at THE TAYLOR HOUSE INN. We had a GREAT time staying in Aunt Nancy's room. The breakfast is fantastic. It is a beautiful house and Bernard and Tessa went above and beyond to make our stay amazing. We hope to return some day and we highly recommend this B & B to anyone visiting the area. Thanks again Bernard and Tessa for the warm hospitality. God bless you both.

Our hosts were fabulous. Tessa is a fantastic cook. All-day coffee, comfy beds, warm fires on wet days. Bernard is a joy and gave us a lovely history lesson about the historic site. Nestled in the smokey mountains of NC, we enjoyed hiking, shopping, wine tasting and so much more. Thanks for making this the best stay I've every experienced at a BYB.

This lovely bed and breakfast is located in a beautiful area just outside of Boone, North Carolina! The decor and artwork was not my style however the home is decorated by the owners and likely appeals to them. The room was very clean and fresh feeling. The bedroom was spacious with a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was large and comfortable with great lighting. The big windows and evening breeze was delightful! Waking to singing birds topped the stay!

A deposit of on one night minimum or a 50% deposit of all nights reserved will be charged to the credit card provided at time of reservation. Your deposit indicates acceptance of our policy. A 14 day cancellation notice before your scheduled date of arrival, is required to receive a refund of your deposit less a $35.00 cancellation fee (30 days in October). Should you cancel less than 14 days prior to arrival, you will be held financially responsible for the entire reservation and your credit card billed for the total balance of your stay. This policy is applied 100% of the time and this regardless of the reason, gravity of the cause, or nature of the emergency. However, we will try our best to rebook your room. If we are able to partially or fully re-rent the room then a partial or full refund of the payment will be refunded to your credit card, plus a $35 processing fee. If you feel this might be an issue, you may want to purchase "travel cancellation or interruption insurance" from one of the many reputable insurance companies which provide that coverage. My husband and I reserved the Flower Cottage for an overnight stay on our anniversary. When we arrived, we were offered a free upgrade to Aunt Nancy's Room. It was wonderful! The room was more spacious than the cottage and everything was so clean and well taken care of. We were very pleased with our stay! Would definitely like to go back and spend more time there.

We stayed Friday and Saturday nights as we were in area for a wedding nearby. We were very pleased with our stay. Hot tea, coffee and hot chocolate available at all times as well as fresh baked goodies. Inn Keepers very helpful and friendly.

We spent an amazing weekend at the Taylor House Inn thanks to Tessa and Bernard. They went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. When Tessa learnt that we were traveling with our 3 year old daughter, she rented us the entire floor for the price of one room just so the little one could get all the space she needed. The breakfast was an out of the world experience - sumptous pancakes, fresh fruit, gourmet coffee. The sunlight in the dining room, the cozy living room, the lovely art pieces throughout the house - we will cherish all the memories.

We spent the weekend of March 1st to celebrate our marriage anniversary and we couldn't choose better. The place is beautiful, full of personality. Tessa and Bernard are perfect hosts, providing all we need to feel at home. The breakfast is delicious and sophisticated. In the living room, there's a sign saying: "enter as strangers, leave as friends" and I wouldn't describe better.
