My duaghter and I went to Asheville to see an old college freind whom I had not seen in 20 years. We stayed at the Corner Oak Manor, our first experience at a bed and breakfast. It will not be our last. The room was wonderful, the host and hostess were awesome and breakfast was wonderful!!!!! We are planning a trip in the spring to Asheville and we will definitely try to stay at the Corner Oak Manor again!!!

While I fear we may not have been the favorite guests of Gary and Karen (accidentally called Gary when I meant to call the cab late at night!), they were certainly the most gracious hosts!! Gary was friendly as all get-out when we arrived 4 hours earlier than check out, and they were more than prepared with our room clean and ready, along with plenty of recommendations for shopping and sight-seeing. We stayed in the Summer room which was comfortable and spacious enough for a early-evening cocktail sit-down/relax before dinner. Though we only stayed for one night, we had enough time to enjoy the bed, which was comfortable, the shower/bathroom (EXCELLENT bath/shower supplies, loved the smell of the soap/shampoo/conditioner, and my hair felt silky and smooth), and (of course!) the breakfast. Karen whipped up some creamy eggs with tomato, spinach, and feta served with thick pepper bacon and fresh fruit on the side. A little "breakfast appetizer" of cranberry cinnamon muffins felt more like a dessert, and it's obvious that she's a whiz in the kitchen! So much thanks to Gary and Karen for being so understanding, so kind, and so patient! Next time I'm in Asheville, I know where to stay!

The room were huge and nicely decorated. Good size bathroom with a great shower. Really good breakfasts both mornings...Karen is an excellent chef! Both Karen and Andy were great hostesses, going out of their way for any request you might have...we received directions, weather reports, and general information about the area. The B&B is situated in a lovely neighborhood just a short walk to Biltmore Village.
