About

Located in Asheville's Historic Montfort District, Apple-Wood Manor Inn, also referred to as the "Captain John A. Perry House" completed in 1912, is a colonial revival home designed by the versatile Asheville architect William Henry Lord. The foundation was laid by stonemasons who had previously worked on the Biltmore House and the exterior is executed in the shingle style uncharacteristic of the region. The Inn sits on a 1.5 acres knoll of rolling grass and high trees in a quiet neighborhood, within walking distance of downtown Asheville. We offer luxury accomodations, a three course gourmet breakfast, an afternoon social with snacks and wine, a music parlor with a baby grand piano, a living room with gas fireplace, board games, books and magazines, and six guest rooms with private baths .

This was a WOW in every way possible. The common areas and bedrooms were elegantly and tastefully appointed with attention to every detail. The beds were very comfortable which is a big deal for us. Breakfast was incredible! Every morning started with an amazing 3 course meal. Larry and Nancy were gracious and fun loving hosts. We couldn't have been happier!

50th Birthday

We had such a wonderful visit. From the moment we walked through the front door we felt very welcomed to be at the Applewood B&B. Nancy greeted us at the door with a huge smile. She explained everything we needed to know in detail. We stayed in the Winesap room for 2 nights. It was wonderful, from the scented soaps and lotion to the 2 person tub:) we had comfy robes to put in after a shower. The breakfasts are out of this world. Nancy really does a great job! Larry helps serve and entertain while waiting on the fabulous breakfast. Nancy and Larry are great host. We will be back:)

Wonderful Asheville Stay

My friends, sister and I loved Applewood. Rooms are beautiful and spacious. We were in York Imperial and Granny Smith bedrooms, and also enjoyed the parlor with piano, living room with puzzles, and dining room with wine and cheese. Breakfasts were delicious and generous. Enjoyed walking around the historic Montford neighborhood. Larry and Nancy are great hosts.
