Fernwood Cottage
Fernwood Cottage offers a different type of mountain lodging. One cabin divided into two separate suites. Enjoy the privacy of your own suite - or bring along family and enjoy both suites.
Each suite has a large living/dining/bedroom, kitchen and bathroom with shower. Handmade king-sized bed, plus queen sofa bed for additional guests. Dining table for four. Separate heat and air-conditioning, satelite TV with DVD/VCR. Totally furnished, beautifully decorated and immaculately clean.
Fernwood Cottage is a mile from Andrews, a small town in the Smoky Mountains of Western North Carolina - just two hours from Atlanta, Chattanooga, and Asheville.

From US 19/74 drive into Andrews. Go 1 block on Main St to 1st traffic light (Whittaker Lane), turn right and drive to end of Whittaker Lane. Turn right onto Fairview Road and drive 1.5 miles (approx), turning left onto Pisgah Road. Drive on Pisgah Road about 1.5 miles, turning left onto Garnet Ridge Drive (gravel) to entrance to Fernwood. - Nearest major airport: Asheville, NC (AVL) 150 miles

Actually we use Atlanta Airport (not a choice above) and drive the 150 miles by US75 to US-575 to BlueRidge, Ga; then Ga60 to Ga60 Spur (right) to end, right on US74/19 all the way to Andrews. Approximately 2.5 hours.
