    Secluded in-town with exquisite views, Touchstone Inn, Spa and Gallery is located on property adjacent to Taos Pueblo lands and is considered to be medicine land by the native peoples. This is the first private property touched by the Rio Pueblo exiting from sacred Blue Lake high up in the mountains. Touchstone features an intimate setting for breakfasts in a vine covered gallery overlooking Taos Mountain. Guests experience cozy fireplaces, jacuzzi tubs, historic and romantic common areas, private patios, lush gardens with mature trees, fountains, a labyrinth, and lots of wildflowers.

    We went for our honeymoon, and before one night had passed, Brad came to our room and told us we were being upgraded to a better room. What was a good value to begin with got much better very quickly. Our new room was upstairs with a great view and a fireplace! Brad and Amber were dreat hosts and the food! Chef prepared daily! Homemade sausage, crepes with rasberry sauce...We'll be back! Thanks again! Larry and Maureen

    Family-run inn with lots of comfort

    We were on vacation in NM in March 11. We coincidentally found this inn/hotel, because it was not listed in our guide. What a nice coincidence! Amazing place. Good location, large garden for kids to play, large rooms, excellent views of Taos mountains, extremely friendly staff and breakfast prepared with care and love. We recommend this place to all who look for comfort and cordiality.

    Looking Forward to Sharing This Gem with My Family

    This was my second stay at Touchstone following up what was a transcendent Christmas booking in 2009 with my 89-year old mom. As I get to understand the rhythm and tempo of Taos, I grow to appreciate even more what an ideal facility this is. First of all the rooms are wonderfully appointed with great spiffs like soaking whirlpool baths and local hand-crafted tile sink and tub areas. The small cluster of buildings are situated on a wonderfully imagined small compound conveniently located just near the center of town, but nearby to great historic sites including the town square, missions, cave dwelling, active pueblos/native territories throughout the area that characterize the most stunning aspects of this part of the country. I'll add the core value-add of these experiences have been our hosts at Touchstone. Not only are the rooms comfortable (I loved the luxury of my sprawling King bed and wood burning kiva fireplace--which they set up for me nightly). The owner, Bren Price (a renowned visual artist and local cultural activists/beacon/celebrity) and her team (headed up by an amazing guy introduced to us as "Wolf") made mid-winter stays here more than a getaway, but truly memorable events. Family plans to celebrate my mom's 90th birthday this coming summer at Touchstone are currently underway.

    Reservation Policy

    • Check In: 3 PM    Check Out: 11 AM

    • Minimum Stay: One night available with agreement to upgrade or comparable move.

    • Deposit Amount Required: Total Amount is Due upon Booking if room price is $500 or less, and-or booking date is less than 30 days prior to arrival. Full Amount of total is Due if One Night is Booked.

    • Cancellations: Cancellation policy:  Because of the nature and size of our business and our high standards of personal service, we have a limited refund policy on reservation deposits. If you cancel with at least fifteen days' notice prior to arrival, we will refund your deposit minus $30 Handling Fee. With less notice, we will refund your deposit if we are able to fully re-book your reservation. In some cases, we will issue a voucher for a future visit. We recommend the purchase of trip cancellation insurance, available at most travel agencies. Within fifteen days of arrival you are financially responsible for your entire confirmed stay and will be charged for nights reserved but not used. Family Groups, and Events and holidays must cancel 90 days Prior to arrival; Xmas bookings, 12/20 - 1/3 must cancel 60 days prior to arrival.
