About

Secluded historic adobe pueblo-style compound in downtown Santa Fe! This 150 yr old enchanting Old Santa Fe estate is tastefully preserved and boasts private courtyards, large shade trees, an authentic Indian horno oven, 19 comfortable guest rooms, free parking ($35 value) and an abundance of "True Santa Fe Romance". Excellent downtown location- walk to plaza, Canyon Rd, Rail yard, shopping, restaurants, museums, etc. Warm, welcoming, pofessional staff- celebrating 29+ yrs of award winning service and serving our famous "Pueblo Breakfast Tamale"! Guest Reviews state: "We have been visiting Santa Fe two or more times a year for the past thirty years and have stayed in almost every hotel, motel, and B&B near the Plaza and a few on Cerrillos Road. In the past few years, we finally discovered Pueblo Bonito with it's charming grounds, rooms, and owners, and have stayed in no other location since. The rooms and the breakfast are excellent and make for a relaxing experience that bears repeating. This beautiful B&B provides everything that you need for a restful get away, is within a short walking distance to the Plaza, and is equally convenient to the shops and restaurants in the Guadalupe area. We also appreciate the cleanliness and great service provided by the housekeeping staff. Truly a great experience and a great value" (bedandbreakfast review 2/14)

Pueblo Bonito stay

4.6 on December 07, 2014

Delightful stay at the Inn that was friendly, comfortable and close to many great shops and restaurants.

Innkeeper Response
Thank you for your review and for taking the time to let us know your experience was "delightful"! We do have a "killer" location in downtown Santa Fe- one of the best! Walk to the plaza, shops, restaurants, museums, performances, historic sites, etc. It's quiet too if you can believe how close we are to all the exciting things to experience, yet our 3/4 acre property is secluded by a two foot adobe wall- nestled in downtown Santa Fe! So glad you were comfortable and enjoyed our staff and guests. Please come back anytime- you're always welcome at Pueblo Bonito b&b inn.

awesome!!!

5 on November 29, 2014

Great place to stay. Owners are awesome and told us the history of the B&B. Great story. We will be returning to stao again.

Innkeeper Response
Thanks for the review! We certainly have plenty of history to share! Originally built in 1860- all exterior walls remain in tact as well as the Native American Horno, stables and servants quarters! You won't have to look long and hard to find some brick dating 154 years... all structures on our property are the real thing! It's a challenge of love, but it definitely provides THE most unique and authentic Santa Fe culture experience of any lodging in downtown Santa Fe. So glad you enjoyed it and we look forward to your return visit.

Great find in Santa Fe...

4.6 on November 20, 2014

My room was charming, spacious, and quite affordable! I love that it reflected old SW style--adobe, vigas, flagstone floor, and that it had many delightful nooks and crannies. Also a big advantage for me was that I could walk everywhere in downtown Santa Fe--I parked my car and didn't need it until I left.

Innkeeper Response
Thanks for your review. So glad you enjoyed your accomodations. All 19 guest rooms uniquely reflect authentic local culture and history as well as Southwestern style! We've intentionally retained each unique feature within our rooms and property. As each year passes (Feb 2015 is our 30th anniversary!) we find our property becomes even more intriguing to guests and is truly one-of-a-kind! Foot to two feet of adobe brick encases each room; natural wood vigas line ceilings; guests LOVE the corner kiva fireplace in thier room; and our adorable mosaic tiled tubs with nicho vanities provide features guests will not find anywhere else! There is no replicating Pueblo Bonito Inn. Guests desiring a truely unique Southwestern historic experience are invited to try our inn! Thanks again for your review and we hope to see you back in Santa Fe soon!

Quirky Pueblo Bonito

2.0 on October 15, 2014

I'm o.k. with a little unique or quirky look, but soft goods and accessories need to be updated - or 'freshened' up…. breakfast was lacking, a continental breakfast with tamales. same items both mornings. nice exterior and landscaping

Innkeeper Response
Thank you for taking the time to leave this review. Glad to know you enjoyed the exterior and landscaping of our historic adobe pueblo inn. I am sorry to hear you were dissatisfied with "soft goods and accessories". A better description would be helpful for us to understand your dissatisfaction. Nothing was communicated during your visit. We're sorry you weren't comfortable expressing concerns directly to us to allow an opportunity for corrections to be made for your comfort. We hope you might consider following up directly via email to us outlining these areas you feel we might improve. After 29 years of consecutive innkeeping, serving thousands of visitors, we know we can't be everything to everyone, but we certainly appreciate the opportunity to try! Our best to you and yours and again, thank you for the review!

Utterly Charming

4.6 on October 10, 2014

Our room was adorable & had many unique architectural features, such as the incredible mosaic bath tub. Strelza offered us the warmest of welcomes and filled us in on local history. She spent a lot of time with us customizing a map so we could get the most out of our short visit. Pueblo Bonito is a gem !

Innkeeper Response
Thank you for your review and words of encouragment! We find great satisfaction when guests share thier appreciation of our hard work and labor of love for this 154 yr old adobe pueblo-style property. It truly is a one-of-a-kind- or "gem" as you state! Guests are able to experience a slice of history with us as no where else in downtown Santa Fe! Our property retains ALL original adobe structures, walls, etc and the Indian bread over (horno) built in 1860! All 18 historic guest rooms have handcrafted working kiva fireplaces (wood burning!) and adorable private bath (with tub and shower). We were recently awarded "Outstanding Preservation Award 2014" for recent bathroom renovations! Since we are only lodging faclity (b&b, Hotel, Motel) in downtown Santa Fe who have retained the same consistent management/owners over the last 30 years, we are very well equipped to assist folks in customizing travel plans of our area! We look forward to seeing you again and again. Thanks for the review and let us know if we can assist you with anything else.

Quaint and Perfect

4.2 on October 02, 2014

It was perfect setting for where we were and the location was great. Also provided a super environment for meeting the other guests.

Innkeeper Response
"Perfect" and "Super"! Great to hear how much you enjoyed your stay with us. Thank you for your patronage and review. We agree, our unique property is the perfect setting to experience original adobe architecture and Native American culture of the region. Our historic, adobe, pueblo-style compound nestled quietly in downtown reflect perfectly the traditions of yesteryear! Dating back to 1860, originally a circuit judge’s private estate- this b&b still retains the original horno- Indian bread in the middle of our courtyard! Truly one of a kind for any history buff to experience the traditions of historic Santa Fe culture and life! Our guests as you state are “super”- we agree! Hundreds return to us year after year as we are soon to celebrate 30 consecutive years to serve thousands of Santa Fe travelers! They have all been and are special people- friends we like to call them! We invite you back to enjoy each one as well as our unique city of Santa Fe, NM.

Great location; wonderful staff

3.6 on September 26, 2014

I booked this B&B simply because it was the only available lodging for my travel dates that was located close to the plaza area; walking distance ( a few blocks). The facility was unique and full of local history. We stayed in the Laguna room which was a bit small but there were three of us. It would be perfect for 1 or 2. Amy was a great hostess and provided good information on the area. Breakfast was great; the tamales were excellent and the dining area was bright and very pleasant. Stelsa was wonderful; we had great conversation. We still owe her a song!

Innkeeper Response
Thank you for the review! It's great to know you enjoyed so many things about your stay with us- a life long memory of Santa Fe and Pueblo Bonito b&b! We do have a "prime" location in downtown and are the only pueblo-style, historic adobe b&b compound in downtown. We even retain the original horno (Native American bread oven) placed on the property in 1860! You're definately spot on when you describe us as unique and full of history! Glad you enjoyed our famous breakfast tamales, staff and pleasant atmosphere. You're welcome back at Pueblo Bonito b&b anytime and will look forward to that song!

Very nice Santa Fe style atmosphere.

3.4 on September 04, 2014

A nice, quiet oasis within walking distance to the historic square in Santa Fe complete with adobe charm. Makes for a great get-away.

Innkeeper Response
Thanks for the review and recommendation! We couldn't agree more - Pueblo Bonito b&b does make a great get-away! Our 154 yr old historic adobe pueblo-style compound will take you away to yester-year! As the city of Santa Fe itself is one-of-a-kind, so is Pueblo Bonito b&b! Your description of "adobe charm" lends true as all 18 of our charming guest rooms have a private bath, working corner kiva fireplace, two foot thick adobe walls, nichos, vigas, corbels and so much more! It's so hard to find a downtown Santa Fe accomodation anymore that has retained the true, authentic historic culture and archeticture which Northern New Mexico is famous for- and we do just that! Thanks for the recommendation and we look forward to your return.

Staying at the inn

4.2 on July 27, 2014

We stayed 2 nights Mid June at the inn. We had the Jemez room. Clean, friendly, but also very close to down town and such a retreat from busy shopping. We enjoyed our stay, we will be back ! Thanks alot for your hospitality Beat & Käthy PS the dining valuation is for the breakfeast, since there was no Dining.

Best B&B in Santa Fe

4.4 on June 27, 2014

My daughter and I recently spent a long weekend at Pueblo Bonito Bed & Breakfast in Santa Fe. We selected the establishment after checking it out online. The photos and text about the bed and breakfast depicted a lovely place. We were not disappointed. The room we stayed in was very comfortable. The grounds are nice. The owners and staff are outstanding. I would not hesitate to recommend Pueblo Bonito to friends and family.
