Built in 1923, the historic Shaffer Hotel was created by the eccentric Clem "Pop" Shaffer. The oldest poured concrete building in the state of New Mexico, you will enjoy the modern ammenities of updated rooms in a historic setting.

We are approx. 75 miles SE of Albuquerque, in the East Mountain area of the Manzano Mountains. Santa Fe is only 90 miles from here as well. We are within 10 miles of the geographic center of the state of New Mexico. Nearby you will find the Salinas Pueblo Ruins - 3 different sites where the Spanish Friars were trying to convert the Native American's to Catholisism circa the 1600's. Long abandoned, they make for an interesting history lesson.
