We stayed in the main building and absolutely adore this place. Like staying at Grandmas house with real wood floors/furniture. The bed was thick and luxurious. Just because breakfast was included did not mean it was limited or skimpy. It came so fast we joked that it was brought in from a diner! We kept peeking in the Main room because we would find treats at all hours. Steps from the boardwalk and less than 5min away from the Jitney that serves all casinos. That pretty much makes this our go-to place for every A/C escape from now on!
Thank you for your wonderful review. We are very happy that you enjoyed your stay with us and I am glad our entire staff at the inn was able to provide you a great experience. We look forward to seeing you again.

My first stay at the Inn exceeded my expectations. It begins with the comfort of the bed, the shower head in the bathroom; the delicious breakfast, cookies, fruit, delightful happy hour, and the wonderful people we chatted with during those times. The beach was just steps away once you picked up your beach chair and towel. I will definitely visit the Inn again and recommend it to others. We consider ourselves lucky for finding this Inn.

A great get away place, but still close enough to the plays etc. at the nearby casino.

This B&B was very warm & inviting. The interior decor was comforting. The room was clean, bed was comfy but bathroom very small yet manageable. The owners where helpful & hospitable. The breakfast was excellent as was the refreshments & snacks. The japaneses restaurant "Magu" which was around the corner in walking distance was excellent! Even tho it was 16 degress we walked to beach which was less than a block from Inn. Over all we rate Carisbrooke Inn an A+ and look forward to staying there again in the near future. Ed & Jan from Philly ;)
Ed and Jan, Thank you for taking time to write a review. We are happy you enjoyed your stay with us. I'm sorry for the extremely cold weather. It has been a chilly one this year. We know some of our bathrooms are quite small. As with many B&B's in older buildings they were added to the rooms and are functional but small. Perhaps the next time you come, you can ask when you call about some of our rooms with larger bathrooms. About half have large roomy bathrooms, some with spa amenities. Again thank you and we look forward to your next visit with us.

Carisbrooke Inn is more than just a B&B. In December the Atlantic City Ballet was in search of hotels to donate rooms to them for the orchestra that was playing for their production of The Nutcracker. Without hesitation, John and his partner, donated 6 rooms to the Ballet! They were extremely accommodating to the musicians who stayed there and followed up to make sure the ballet didn't need anything else. The Atlantic City Ballet can't thank them enough!!! The musicians were very pleased with the rooms and were made to feel right at home. Staying here means you support businesses that support their community
Thank you for writing such a nice review. I have to say this was such a positive experience for us as well. We really do try to support community events whenever we can, and especially the arts. I believe the arts enrich us locally but also provide a vital attraction for our guests. I think it is important for the local communities and the local businesses to do what they can. On a separate note, I had never been to a ballet before in my life and this was the perfect opportunity to go. I had no idea I would enjoy it so much. The skill of this group is nothing short of amazing. Thank you for the opportunity.

I stayed here the week of September 8, 2014 (Miss America Pageant week). I will definitely be coming back, with hubby next time. John and Agnes work very hard to ensure your stay is wonderful, and their hard work shows in everything. Delicious food cooked to order every morning. Fresh fruit, cheese, wine, and home-baked goods every afternoon. The entire inn is spotlessly clean. The little touches found in every room of this inn make it feel like your own home, only you don't have to clean it or cook. It's comfortable and beautiful. I stayed in Room 9 - at the top of the house, with a lovely bathroom (steam spa/shower for 2), king-sized canopy bed, lovely comfortable arm chair & ottoman and fabulous huge window seat overlooking the beach/ocean. 9 windows, which, when opened at night, let in a great wonderful salt-air breeze making the air-con unit unnecessary. I got to see most of the other rooms, since I arrived a little early and was first to check in. Each room was very different, and all were charming. Some larger than mine, some smaller - but all were rooms that I wanted to stay in. I guess I'll just have to keep on coming back to stay in each of the rooms, until I've stayed in them all! The Carisbrooke Inn has the perfect location: Just a mile from Atlantic City, it's close but it's quieter. Just a quarter block from the beach, you can hear the surf hit the sand at night, when it's quiet and your windows are open. Right on the same block from several great restaurants and a good liquor store, and only a block or two from more great restaurants - you can't go wrong. My visit was simultaneously restful & energizing. I was very sorry to leave, and I can't wait to come back again! I came home from the Carisbrooke Inn refreshed, ready to face the daily grind of life again. Thank you, John and Agnes, for a perfect Me-Time vacation! I'll bring my husband with me, next time.

The four of us had a great time. We stayed for 3 days monday- Wednesday. We almost had the beach (one block away) to ourselves. The service was great. Lots of little extras were delightful. I'll keep the Carisbrook in my files for the future.
