Treat yourself to a trip down memory lane to a bygone era where life was simple and happiness meant feeling the sunshine on your face, smelling the honeysuckle and hearing the birds sing. Step thru the front door of The Nathaniel Morris Inn and you find all that and more. Cudos to Paul and Gail McFadden who are not only wonderful people but who have created a calm oasis in this fast paced world. Do yourself a favor and run don't walk to The Nathanial Morris Inn !!! We attended a family wedding nearby so we felt unfortunate to have so little time at the inn. Paul and Gail are wonderful hosts and the property is beautiful. We couldn't even enjoy breakfast because of the planned wedding brunch but it looked great. We'll be back as our daughters in-laws live nearby.

We have stayed at the inn many times and love it. Gail & Paul are gracious hosts and the accomodations are cozy and comfortable. The second floor porch is a special treat.

The B&B decor was very eclectic which added to its charm. The breakfasts were good but disappointing as they were not gourmet as I have had in other B&B's. The room itself was spacious. My biggest disappointment was in the interaction with the hosts or lack thereof. Upon arrival, we were rushed through the check-in process as if the owner had other things he needed to be doing. Other than being served breakfast by the other owner there was no interaction at all. I have stayed at plenty of other B&B's in which the owners are happy to have guests, engage in conversation, share information about the area and things to do, and seem to enjoy people in general. I did not get a welcoming feeling at this B&B. If you are looking for a warm and welcoming stay and not a hotel-type stay than this is not the B&B for you.

The Nathaniel Morris Inn is a lovely home away from home. The owner, Gail, serves a wonderful breakfast and is very gracious. While the The Inn is beautiful, it is next to a high traffic road...so the only negative aspect of staying here was from the noise, that comes with heavy traffic, while sitting on the balcony during the day. However, there was no noise while sleeping with the airconditioner on. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.

It was kind of a surprise, as did not expect such a nice place, full of old stuff, and very attractive inclusive the fact that you had to claim some steps to go to bed, awsome

We always enjoy our stays at the Nathaniel Morris. Gail never fails to provide a warm, welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. A perfect getaway from all the hustle and bustle of everyday living. We're already looking forward to planning another visit.

My wife and I stayed at the Inn for the third time a couple of weeks ago and once again had a relaxing and pleasant experience. Gail is a fine innkeeper that respects your privacy while accommodating our every request. We highly recommend the Nathaniel Morris Inn if you're looking for a reasonably priced, clean and comfortable place to spend a few days at the beautiful Jersey Shore.

I would highly recommend the Nathaniel Morris Inn for anyone who is considering staying in the area. The room was clean and lovely (and had a 2nd story porch with a hammock right outside!) and Gail, the innkeeper, was very nice. The breakfast was delicious as well.

The Nathaniel Morris Inn is a lovely Victorian in the Jersey shore town of Manasquan. The rooms are beautifully appointed and the host is friendly and attentive. There is lots to do in the vicinity - beach, antiquing, bike riding, etc. and the main street of Manasquan itself has great shopping along with the adjacent town of Point Pleasant along Arnold Ave. Our family goes there every year and looks forward to it. A great lodging for the money and better than a motel atmosphere!

The location was close to everything we needed to do while at the shore. Breakfast was delicious and filling so we were able to start the day off on a great note. The room was comfortable and clean. Will be going back in the cooler fall weather!

We travelled from Dublin, Ireland to Manasquan for 3 nights. My husband had work related meetings in this town and we chose Nathaniel morris on the recommendation of his colleagues. After a long days travel by plane and train, we finally walked from the Manasquan train station to the door of the Inn. Even before we were met by Gail, we loved the place. It is a very welcoming and dainty house. Once inside, the beautiful decor, which is mainly vintage, really made us feel like we had arrived home. as for Gail, she is such a lovely woman. She went out of her way to make sure we settled in quickly. The room, including a 4 poster bed, was beautiful. We had a door leading straight onto the first floor veranda, which allowed us to sit outside in the shade and relax. Each morning, the breakfast exceeded what had been an amazing breakfast the morning before. Gail's attention to detail and unique aspects such as serving coffee in picnic flasks, really made the stay special. We are a young couple and will hopefully visit New Jersey many more times. I have no doubt, the only place we will stay is the Nathaniel Morris Inn with Gail.

Only not great thing was the room, compared to the others in the Inn which were beautiful. We stayed in Eileen's Garden Cottage room and although the beds were comfortable, the room was very cluttered, with a small matress stowed behind a bed, carpeting rolled up under the bed and a few knick knacks in the desk drawers. There was no dresser space for clothes, the only drawers were in the small desk and the drawers had no knobs, so difficult to open. The innkeepers were fabuous people!

The Inn is in a lovely neighborhood short walk to the town. Gail is a gracious hostess and the Nathaniel Morris Inn is our favorite!

I’m tickled pink and purple that I found this truly quaint B&B. It has it all - it's the real thing! You feel at home. You are comfortable. It’s clean and cozy. Close to the beach. Walking distance to the lovely downtown. The Innkeepers are lovely and honest. It’s the cat’s meow. I’m hooked!

My wife and I have taken day trips to the beach at Manasquan for many years but decided on a mini vacation recently by booking a couple of nights at the Nathaniel Morris Inn. The accommodations were terrific, our room was charming, comfortable, clean and convenient to the beach. Gail was a superb host who made us a very nice B&B breakfast each morning to start our day. We will certainly be staying at The Inn on our future trips to the Shore.

I was only there for one night while I was in town visiting friends, but my time there was fantastic. I felt like I was home. The room was very comfortable and very clean, the porch attached to my room was lovely and the hospitality was perfect.

We are always welcomed like old friends to this charming inn. The rooms are comfortable, the breakfasts are superb, and Gail always makes an early pot of coffee for us. Walking distance to the charming town and a 5 minute drive to a beautiful, peaceful beach.

My husband and I stayed in Sara's Sampler room. 3rd floor room with a private bath that felt more like staying in a "treehouse"! Adorable and very comfortable. Our hostess Gail greeted us at the door and was lovely. The area of Manasquan is wonderful. Great downtown restaurants and shopping and so easy to drive all along the Jersey Shore towns. The breakfast on the morning we left was delicious. Not just your typical continental breakfast...we started with a yogurt smoothis (Gail's husband's specialty), coffee, juice and then an egg bake with ham, tomatoes and a warm pastry. We were so pleasantly surprised with our stay here we will hopefully be back again and we would certainly recommend the Nathaniel Morris Inn to anyone looking for a cozy B&B on the Jersey Shore!!

From the moment we called and booked the reservation to the moment we left, could not find one negative thing to say. The owner, the room and breakfast are just outstanding. Plus you can walk to pubs, restaurants and bike to beach. LOVE IT, and always will return!

Nice B&B in a great part of town. We were a little confused at first as we saw a sign that said "Door is locked for our guests safety, call if you need to get in." So, instead of ringing the doorbell (which we didn't see), we called. Turns out they were in, we just had to ring the doorbell. Ok, so everyone had a laugh! The proprietor was wonderful and the rooms were very nice. Breakfast was great. We'll be back!

I have passed the Nathaniel Morris Inn a thousand times and have wanted to visit forever... I was not dissapointed. The historic home has been meticulously decorated and updated. My room had a comfy bed, well-appointed bathroom and a gorgeous second-floor porch. Breakfast was delicious and the service was warm and gracious. A perfect spot in charming Manasquan, NJ. Close to beaches and shopping. Loved my visit and will certainly come back!

Spent long Fourth of July weekend on the Inn. Very pleasant stay, comfortable rooms, delicious breakfast. Walked to restaurants on Main Street, drove to the beach. Liked our stay so much that we went back for a weekend later in July. It would be perfect if the Inn was walking distance to the Beach.

Loved our quaint room, nicely appointed. The bed was supremely comfortable -- and I speak as a chronic back pain sufferer. The window a/c was appreciated, and the wrap-around porch was delightful. Wish we had more time to spend! The breakfast was tasty, but after finding a hair on my plate, my interest flagged. Service was friendly and prompt; my husband enjoyed his meal. The price was high, but probably in keeping with the area.

I felt like I was on a mini vacation at the Nathaiel Morris Inn!! It's Victorian atmosphere and friendly innkeepers and guests made my cousin and I feel so comfortable and "at home". It was a wonderful, refreshing birthday weekend for me and a nostalgic trip back in time to Manasquan, a place where we enjoyed many happy childhood vacations at the shore.

Our weekend trip to the Nathaniel Morris Inn in Mannasquan. N. J. was beyond a doubt the most charming, friendly and hospitable B & B I've ever stayed at. My daughter lives in the area so I'm really looking forward to another visit soon. We loved the balcony on the 2nd. floor. The breakfast was amazing- and the hostess Gail and her assistant, Judy, could not have been any friendlier. Check out the suite on the 2nd floor, absolutely adorable and very spacious. I loved this place!!!

This place was quaint, quiet, and above and beyond anything we expected. The location was beautiful and remote so there wasn't too much noise or people; however, it wasn't so far from the main strip so there were plenty of places to walk. The service was incredible-- the people were super sweet and accommodating. All in all, it was a stellar experience and I'll definitely be coming back.

We stayed during the 4th of July long weekend and we had a very relaxing stay. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and the house is quite charming. You are withing walking distance to all the shops in Manasquan which makes relaxing much easier since you do not have to drive everywhere. We will be back again that is for sure!

My wife loved the tasteful array of antique collectibles throughout, and we greatly enjoyed the comfortable and casual atmosphere and delicious breakfast. We savored the wrap-around porch on the second floor. There's a bit of traffic noise, but it subsides in the late evening, and the plus is, the b&b is in town and easy to find, no searching around in the dark. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The center of town is an easy stroll away.

We spent last week-end there & it was a lovely place with very nice owners. The only downside was we did not find a blow dryer in the bathroom. We slept great & was comfortable & breakfast was excellent. We would definately revisit this Inn.

We came to Manasquan during the week to spend to days on the beach and one night at The Nathaniel Morris Inn. We try to do this several times during the summer season . . this was our second stay and we hope to do one more in early September. Sometimes we stay two nights. We've been enjoying our stays there for 10 years. The innkeepers are delightful and attentive and the town is terrific and in walking distance with great restaurants, shops and even a theatre. The beaches are well maintained . . it is our favorite place to relax.
