Séjour très très agréable!

If you’re looking for a calm and peaceful place with nature, The Buttonwood Inn is the best Bed and Breakfast in the White mountains. Situated on the Mont Surprise near North Conway, he has the advantage to be apart of the White Mountain Highway where there is a lot of traffic. Bill and Paula took the time to answer our questions and give us advice on the region and activities to do. Paula made an excellent breakfast and afternoon cupcake or cookies. Guests can access to the living room on the first floor and the basement and they can use a refrigerator. During the afternoon, a pool and a hot tub can be use. In 2014 I had great experience and great moments at this place and I decided to come back in September 2016 for 10 days. Again, I had a great experience. Bill and Paula make us feel like we were at home. We a great service and the place is very clean. If I go back to the White Mountains, I know where to go! The Buttonwood Inn. Thank you Bill and Paula for everything you did for us!

We spent three days at Buttonwood Inn. This was an excellent starting point to discover some hiking trails in the White Mountains. The advice of Bill was excellent !

Great location

Only onsite dining is breakfast and afternoon cookies but it is fabulous and great restaurants close by for dinner. There is a refrigerator and microwave for guest use. Location great for hiking or shopping on a rainy day.

Quite enjoyable

This inn is worth a visit. Great location, terrific food, helpful travel hints, plenty of room to relax, spacious lawn. We enjoyed our two nights here and would return. Bill and Paula are very accommodating.

Actions speak louder than words

The best review I can give is simply to say that this was our 4th visit and most likely will not be our last. There are many fine places to stay in the area but we keep coming back. And I know that we are not the only ones who do, while we were there another couple was on a return visit.

A high-quality, friendly, and peaceful inn with great breakfast!

We stayed at Buttonwood with our 5-year old over the memorial day weekend, and we really enjoyed our stay. It is within 5-10 minute drive from North Conway and is located at Mt. Surprise, surrounded with green. Very peaceful and quiet. Bill & Paula were extremely friendly. They pay great attention to details, everything seemed very well organized and clean. The breakfast was amazing. We'd definitely go there again!

Warm and inviting B&B

One of the best B&B ever! The Buttonwood Inn is a wonderful New England Inn. The hospitality is top notch! Breakfast is absolutely delicious, not to mention the wonderful snack each evening. We highly recommend this Inn!

About the innkeepers

Bill and I both worked in the corporate world in New Jersey. Bill was an industrial engineer by training and managed staff in production plants and retail product facilities. I went to cooking school to become a chef and also obtained a degree in food service management. I worked in hospitality and took a detour for a time, working in the pharmaceutical industry as a marketing analyst. During those years working in corporations, I yearned to get back to my passion of cuisine and food preparation
