Eastman Inn

Upon our arrival we were promptly and warmly greeted by Arthur, the owner. Arthur was thorough in explaining where everything was, including coffee, teas, cookies and bottled water. Upon entering our room we immediately felt right at home. The room was quaintly decorated and very clean. We also met Arthur's granddaughter, Paige, who assisted in serving breakfast. The breakfasts were over the top!!!! So unique and scrumptiously filling. Upon returning to our room in the evening, I would look forward to a hot cup of coffee and a cookie, which was always available. I would highly recommend the Eastman Inn to anyone who desires a charming setting and a positive B&B experience. Whenever we come to North Conway we will definitely stay here!! We've been traveling for over 40 years and have always stayed in hotels/motels, so we weren't sure what to expect. It was a pleasant experience. Breakfasts were delicious. Would stay in a B&B again.

My mother and I stayed at Eastman Inn for two nights and we were the only guests present during our stay. When we arrived at the inn the innkeeper told us that she had upgraded our room for no additional fee. The inn was quaint, clean and inviting. We enjoyed the complimentary homemade truffles, peanut butter cookies, hot tea and bottled spring water offered in the afternoons. The complimentary breakfast on the first morning (strawberries and cream French toast), which was made by the owner of the inn Arthur, was one of the most superb breakfasts my mother and I have ever eaten. Arthur (the owner of the inn) was friendly, accommodating and an excellent chef. Overall, we enjoyed our experience at Eastman Inn. Our only reservation was the second morning's breakfast, which was not prepared by Arthur. During our first morning at the inn Arthur informed us that he would be making us an omelet with asparagus, tomato and onion for the following morning’s breakfast. My mother and I were anticipating on having this type of omelet the next day. But the breakfast on the second morning was not anything like what we were expecting; it was prepared by a woman and it was unsavory and inedible. She called it a spinach omelet, but my mother said it taste more like a dry spinach pancake. The spinach omelet was dry and tasteless, the fruit cup was not tasty and the blueberry muffin did not taste fresh or homemade. We were taken aback because the first breakfast and the second breakfast were widely divergent. We were greatly disappointed in the second day’s breakfast because it held no comparison to the superb breakfast the day before. We could not eat the breakfast that was served to us. Overall, the inn was impeccable in cleanliness, hospitality and charm. There should be more consistency in the breakfasts.

We stayed in the fall of 2010 in an outside entry room. Very cute, clean and inexpensive. We would like to visit again and stay inside. Fantastic breakfasts, hosts were very gracious. Loved it. Thanks ¿

We traveled to the Eastman Inn B & B with our daughter in law and son. We enjoyed a wonderful weekend of adults only. Our room was selected by our daughter in law and excellent choice she made. We enjoyed traveling through the White Mountains and seeing covered bridges, brooks and streams. Although the gals would have loved to see a Moose, the only moose we were able to see were the statues in the towns. We had supper at an Irish pub and listened to the band. We had a wonderful time. The next day we spent shopping at the outlets of North Conway. We had a wonderful time. Eastman Inn provided us with hospitality, a great breakfast and a wonderful room to relax in at days end. When my husband called to tell me that we would be staying at a B&B I was excited but when he said they would make me gluten-free food I was nervous. At breakfast I was thrilled at the gluten-free baked blueberry french toast. It was delectable! The staff has also been warm and friendly. I will tell everyone I know to stay at the Eastman Inn.

We have been staying at the Eastman Inn for our anniversary since 2006. We love the beautiful house and it's historical significance. Every room is lovely, we've had a different one each time. Last year was our 30th wedding anniversary and we booked the Premiere King Room with fireplace, I believe it was room 11, it was beautiful. I love reading, so after I made my special yearly trip to the White Birch book store close by, I couldn't wait to take my selections out on to the huge porch and sit in one those inviting and cozy rocking chairs and enjoy the gentle breeze while I absorbed my books in uninterrupted peace. To top it off, the view of the Moat Mountains is spectacular from the front of the porch. Every morning we awake to a delicious, generous breakfast and they are so kind to accommodate any special dietary needs. We love North Conway, there's so many places to visit and we now have our favorites. The variety of shopping choices is great, and we LOVE the train ride. MY husband loves to cycle, so while he's cycling I'm on the porch reading. We also love that we don't have to go too far to find beautiful trails to hike and enjoy nature in the White Mountains National Forest. Our Innkeeper Art, helped us find the best places. We also had found several great places to have dinner and we always have once a year splurge for the best icecream ever, at Ben&Jerry's. We go for a cycle together on our tandem to even out the calories. The fascinating history of the house and the old Eastman family of the area made me very curious. Art told us that Mr. & Mrs. Eastman were buried in the large cemetery just down the road. The framed stonerubbings in the upstairs hall, were ones I had done, it is a favorite hobby of mine. I wonder if The Eastmans are still keeping watch over the place? ! We love coming here and we tell everyone how wonderful it is. Thank you Art and Marta and Sherry! A last minute find that turned out to be a gem. The quaint atmosphere, the location and the breakfast were all wonderful. We will certainly be returning in the near future

What a wonderful weekend. The hostess was the greatest. She is definitely a gourmet cook. Her breakfasts were outstanding and he hospitality superb.Would stay here again and again.

Located Eastman Inn on the web for a 6/26/10 stay. My husband and I found it was a delightful place. Good sized and well appointed rooms with extra touches that showed someone is thinking of the guest's needs. Breakfast was delicious plus homemade cookies available all day. The inn was beautifully appointed with lovely details (such as lap quilts on the porch rocking chairs), and has a classic and antique feel that is in no way "old" or "run-down" feeling. Sherry, the innkeeper, made us feel right at home and is very knowledgeable about the area. Breakfasts were hearty and delicious gourmet meals. We don't normally splurge on our lodging when we travel, but will surely be back to the Eastman Inn again and again.

We first found the Eastman Inn on the web, and after speaking with Art, we stayed one weekend, then another, and now we can't stay away! The staff are welcoming, friendly and most of all have become friends. Now we are looking forward to the cookie tour! Phil and Joanne

Sherri & Peggy are fabulous! So sociable, helpful & totally enjoy their work. The Eastman Inn is very lucky to have them. In these times, it's hard to find employees who work as if they own it! Great pride in their work & in the inn!

When you walk into the inn Arthur & Sherry welcome you like family. The breakfasts are fantastic! Its so nice to have water available for day's explorations.

Sheri, the innkeeper, is superb! We go back to see her. The Inn is great. Food, location, could not ask for better service.

The hospitality and friendliness of Art and the great cooking of Sherry made our stay a time to remember. So much so that we are thinking of returning next year. We are new to the bed & breakfast experience. This has been so great that we are converts. Thanks!

Stayed for two days in the summer. Excellent breakfast both days. Fresh coffee/tea/cookies always available. Friendly, knowledgeable staff take great care of guests and property. Clean comfortable rooms plus the novelty of being in an older New England home. Planning on going back during the fall or winter.

Paused to stay one night in North Conway, another night in Seabrook, NH. The Eastman Inn was so comfortable and quaint, we cancelled Seabrook and stayed 2 nights here.

The food was very good. It was different each morning. Sherry left fresh baked cookies out every day. Chocolate chip, craisin oatmeal, and very special peanut butter. This place has the best hospitality! I'll be back!

Breakfasts are scrumptious and filling; a great way to start your day! I would definitely return and recommend this inn to others!

We just returned from our stay at Eastman Inn. We stayed in a room with a queen bed and a jacuzzi tub. It was a little noisy, as the room faced busy route 16, but that was clearly stated on the website when we booked, so it was no surprise. The room was quite warm, but again that was clearly stated upon check-in and we were told to feel free to open windows as needed, despite the heat being on. Our bed was very comfortable and we loved the jacuzzi after snowshoeing (free passes included in stay!) and hiking. We enjoyed the delicious snacks, including a variety of cookies, candies and coffee all day. It was a welcome sight after a long day in the cold. They were extremely accomodating to my food allergies, and labeled all snacks with ingredients so there was no confusion. The breakfasts were outstanding and provided lots of food. We thoroughly enjoyed the different foods we were served. Both innkeepers were friendly and informative and gave us great tips while we stayed. We would certainly stay here again and highly recommend it.

I stayed here with my mother, it was the only place I could find a B&B that had two beds and didn't involve lots of stairs. They stay was terrific. The breakfast was far better then I expected, and the afternoon cookies were delicious. My mother especially liked the rocking chairs on the large porch with the quilts for warmth and comfort. We can't wait to go back.

We stayed two nights during foliage season. The owners are very friendly and took care about special needs concerning breakfast. Very good breakfast! The room we had was clean and cozy, maybe a little bit noisy because of the big street in front of the house. At all time we could get tea, coffee, hot chocolate and cookies in the common breakfast room. Sitting in the rocking chair with a cup of tea on the terrace in the afternoon sun, that's vacation pure! The library in the living room has several books for day trips, hiking etc. All in all: If you like to be in busy town (outlets!) but also close to the nature (Kancamangus Highway, Mt. Washington etc.) and don't mind that the town is not among the nicest (kind of one-street-village where the Inn is), the Eastman Inn is a good choice!

My wife Lisa and I have been staying at the Eastman Inn for the past 6 years. It's the kind of place you just hate to leave, it's that nice. The hospitality and breakfast are fantastic. My wife and I just had the pleasure of staying in Room #9 at the Eastman Inn. Heard great things on the internet around the Eastman and we were not let down. The owners are very pleasant, place is in a great location (Muddy Moose across the street) and the rooms are upscale and very nice.

We were greated and welcomed by a very friendly inn keeper. Located on maine street the eastman has wonderful interiors and amenities including cable, drinks and pastries at all hours. Breakfast was filling and sweet.

what a great place we stumbled upon!siper large balcony all around the house...wicker chairs are daped with cozy quilts. Large living room inside with fireplace. Large dining room decorated in brick red... just charming!

Close proximity to center of North Conway; beautiful facility & views; Room was fabulous and very comfortable; Delicious breakfast (thank you Sherry) every morning; Encountered for the first time someone asking us if there are any special food (gluten and dairy free needs) requirements; Loved the porch and rockers; Host couldn't have made our stay any better! My mom and I visited North Conway, New Hampshire and stayed at the Eastman Inn for two nights on a mini-vacation from South Florida. We would highly recommend you make a reservation with Arthur when you want to visit New England. He was a GRACIOUS host, gave us good advice about sightseeing and dining options, and prepared an OUTSTANDING breakfast both mornings! We even asked for his recipes! We enjoyed "hanging out" in the living room in the evenings with Arthur and the other guests. This was like a "home away from home." Enjoy!

Our stay at the Eastmann Inn couldn't have been better! The food was excellent; we even got some recipes to take home with us! The rooms were very nice and clean. Our host was very gracious, and gave us many suggestions for where to hike and excellent restaurants around town. We will definetly be coming back!

My wife and I have stayed at the Eastman Inn several times & each time we leave wishing we could have stayed longer. Lea the Innkeeper could not be more gracious and her hearty breakfasts with a southern gourmet flair are scrumptious. The Inn seems to attract wonderfully interesting and friendly guests from throughout the world. The rooms are warmly decorated and the beds are comfy. We like the selection of complimentary sodas and cordials & don't forget the never empty cookie jar. Like we said in out title ~ The Best!

We have stayed at the Eastman Inn several times and have always been more than satisfied. On one stay we planned on staying one night and ended up staying three! This is a great place to relax, from the rocking chairs on the porch, with the quilts, to the refreshments available anytime day or night. This is one of our favorite spots.
