This historic home is located on the town green in the small town of Newport, NH just minutes from Sunapee. It offers up to 5 bedrooms, 3 with private baths, and sleeps up to 10. Also a living room with dining area, small kitchen and large solarium. Country porch overlooking the green with rocking chairs and table to eat. Great yard for relaxing in the Adirondack chairs or having a game of croquet or badminton. The house is furnished with antique and country pieces.

We were met by our extremely friendly host and shown to a very lovely, spacious and nicely decorated room. The bed was very comfortable . The breakfast was delicious. The quiche was the best we have ever eaten. Talking to our host, Melissa, was a delight. We had to leave very early the second morning. Melissa left us a gift bag of food and drink for the road---how generous and thoughtful! All and all we enjoyed every facet of our stay and look forward to a return trip in the future. My husband, Peter and I were coming to Newport, NH and needed to find a place to stay. Luckily, I ventured onto the BedandBreakfast.com website and found 49 Park!!! What a gem! Melissa Jackman, the innkeeper, went above and beyond with her hospitality! The room was spacious, very clean with a private bath. To my husband's delight, there was a plate of cookies on the table next to the bed. Breakfast was delightful as we chatted with our lovely host. We are looking forward to our next visit to 49 Park!
