Korimako is a small contemporary country lodge in a spectacular setting that captures the essence of New Zealand - glorious views, secluded, casually stylish and relaxing. If your idea of a perfect holiday includes superb food, wine and fabulous views in a comfortable semi-isolated country hideaway close to outdoor activities and experiences, then Korimako is the perfect place. You can fish for trout in a brown trout fishing paradise, explore the forest, raft and kayak the nearby rivers, observe the birdlife, walk in the forest, explore our historic district or simply sit back and relax and soak up the view. Korimako offers an intimate and casually luxurious atmosphere in which to savour New Zealand's natural beauty and enjoy superb food and wine. We offer appealing, contemporary cooking - a style that complements a meal with guests and friends, and a good bottle of wine. It doesn't lend itself to any particular label, just quality and flavour without fuss, using the freshest local produce, organic where possible. The lodge is built to an energy efficient design, our water comes from a spring, and we recycle and compost our waste. All the rooms at Korimako are uncluttered and spacious. The use of colour and choice of furniture complement the fabulous views from all rooms - casually elegant and relaxing. Korimako is located close to Murchison which is between the Nelson & West Coast Regions of the South Island of New Zealand. Murchison is the ideal gateway for Kahurangi and Nelson Lakes National Parks.
