Large Sunny room with views of the hills and glorious sunsets. Extra large King bed, color TV, reading area and private bath. A queen sized bed with en-suite bath makes this room a favorite. Color TV and dressing table, comfortable reading chair.
This king bedroom has four windows, two looking out on the garden, two onto the hills of corn and oats. Open the windows and listen to the waterfalls. Autumn is a gorgeous time of year here-the dahlias are blooming and will end up on your breakfast plate and the corn will be harvested. It is fun to watch the cutting of the corn.
Autumn is spectacular at Country Life, the foliage is brilliant and the apples abundant. Walk the gardens and climb the hill to the woodlands. The waterfalls and swimming hole welcome all guests. Our swimming hole is a main attraction here. These waterfalls flow into a wading area and the swimming hole is above them. The water is clean and refreshing-beach towels provided.
This wall is still here from an old grist mill from the late 1700's. It is viewed from the swimming hole and also from above. The history of it can be related by Richard, the host. This is a view from the pergola-where a porch swing beckons you. Other porch furniture is available for a quick lunch or bring wine and cheese and enjoy the gardens before going out to dinner.
How about an afternoon siesta with a loved one or even a relaxing time with a good book. It is shady and cool here.
