Awesome experience; Steve and Sonya were gracious hosts, both great cooking and a knack for making your stay very comfortable.... Exceeded our expectations which is not easy.....Nice people with amusing stories and interesting history. The B&B is perfectly located to commune with nature and refresh your soul -- close to Whiteface, walking distance to great hiking (don't miss Flume Knob within the Flume trails), and still close enough for an easy trip into town. We will definitely return, and wouldn't think of staying anywhere but at Willkommen Hof.

We loved staying at Willkoomme Hof. The environment is cozy, the rooms are clean and the location is great, just a few minutes away from Lake Placid. Bert is super friendly and really helped us to plan our hike on the Adirondacks. I strongly recommend it…I’ll come back for sure!

Clean, pleasant, easy. We staying in a suite of rooms with our family--two adults, two teens. Breakfast was wonderful. Hot tub and sauna and beer on tap! There was plenty of room and plenty of beds. Bert, the proprietor, was exceedingly friendly and accommodating. My daughter left her wallet behind, and Bert mailed it off right away. Our stay took place in the summer and Bert pointed us to several wonderful, nearby hikes. The town of Lake Placid is only a few miles away when we desired a change of pace. Very nice stay! Great stay

The knowledgeable and friendly owners, Bert and Heike (and their dog AJ), made us feel at home in their rustic B&B for our 4 day ski vacation. We stayed in room #6, one of the smaller rooms with a shared bath. There was plenty of room for hanging up our ski clothing. Bedding was comfortable. The common areas downstairs were nice for post-ski relaxing. The hot cooked breakfasts were good. We would stay here again.

Since the moment we arrived we felt like Home! Bert and Heiki are great! They treated Ruby our dog with love and compassion. We stayed in Room 8, loved the decoration, jacuzzi and warmth. It is a very peaceful place, with wireless, tv, sauna, hot tub outside, sells local beer, they were very helpful in recommending places to go and saving money in buying the Olympic Pass with them... Breakfast was lovely and homemade every morning! We just loved our stay, so close from Whiteface, hiking spots and 15 min drive to Lake Placid, everything close! Thank You so Much Heiki and Bert! Love, Magdalena, Stuart and Ruby!!

From the moment you arrive, the friendliness of hosts Bert and Heike make you feel at home in this quaint BnB. The rooms are spotless and the ambiance and charm of the place makes you feel so welcomed. Breakfast each morning was great and was only a 2 minute drive from Whiteface which was perfect for keen skiers! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a Adirondack holiday and will most definitely be back.

Want a memorable weekend or family adventure? Bert and Heike are wonderful hosts with complimentary hot soup after a long day on the slopes (Whiteface is just just minutes away) or after a day hiking in the High Peaks or fishing on the Ausable. Breakfast was superb, the rooms were so comfortable and clean, and the sauna and hot tub were a relaxing way to end a day of hiking or skiing. Truly a well-run establishment.

My wife and I stayed here with our 14 year old daughter after dropping off my son at SUNY Plattsburgh. We immediately loved the house when we walked in. The loft room was perfect for us, and the breakfast was very good. Bert and Heike are great hosts.

I stayed here while hiking in Marcy Range. It's a nice little spot, with all essential needs well taken care of. Cleanliness of the room/common area stands out. Owners are nice enough to accommodate any early breakfast requests if you're planning to head out very early in morning.

Went there for the ski trip (5 minutes to Whiteface). No complaints here, the hosts were friendly (including dog :) ). There is a 3 day package deal, which is an excellent deal if you want to ski. Breakfast was nice and the place felt warm and welcoming. I will recommend the place without any hesitation.
