It was perfect! Wonderful, warm and so inviting. It is hard to leave. We look forward to returning in the summer.

We stayed at Historic Soundview Manor over the weekend. We all enjoyed the experience of life in a glorious bygone era. Our hostess was wonderful and made sure that all our needs were met. We would definitely return.

A beautiful home-Manor House in one of the oldest residential neighborhoods of White Plains, located minutes from Bet Am Shalom Synagogue -- literally next door -- where we were attending a family Bat Mitzvah. We're from Riverdale, NY, but had to be in walking distance for the event or could not have attended. Quaint, romantic rooms like The Victorian Room, delicious breakfasts, and restful nights. Who could ask for anything more?

Soundview Manor is absolutely beautiful! The house is gorgeous and so comfortable. After my stay here I probably will never stay in a hotel again. The bedrooms are like having your own small apartment or suite. I slept like a baby here. The outside space is beautiful as well and makes you feel like you are at a park. Soundview Manor is also pet friendly, my dog had a great time running all over the property and Ms. Dee and the staff treated him like he was a king. Ms. Dee is a wonderful host and I feel like a part of the family here. I highly recommend Soundview Manor if you will be visiting the NY area. It is close to everything, and is only a short train ride to NYC. I am in NY frequently for work and will not stay any place else!

A joyful place to stay and learn about our american heritage and history. I specially enjoyed playing the piano. It was wonderful and can't wait to comeback.

Our girls really adored it! We were so lucky to find such a haven after Hurricane Sandy left our home without power. Hopefully we'll return under better circumstances.

Soundview is a sparkling gem set in a dreamy garden surrounded by peace and tranquility. The interior is romantic, quaint, and very appealing. Highly recommend it!

A perfect, quiet base for the traveling professional. As a surgical resident, I needed quiet, conveinent lodging near the Westchester Medical Center. I looked long and hard for apartments in the area and found nothing that compares to this beautiful mansion. Its location on the last piece of undeveloped land in White Plains makes it a historic treasure. The lovely gardens and accommodating hosts are an unexpected bonus! A number of physicians and architects whose work took them to Manhattan for weeks and months stayed here at the same time I did. Anyone looking to work or live in the Hudson Valley without buying an apartment should put Soundview Manor at the top of their list.

At a moment's notice, my sister and I needed a place to stay close to Scarsdale. By a twist of fate, we were told about Soundview Manor which turned out to be our port in the storm. Doris and her staff took us in like family. The home is a masterpiece, elegant and warm. Our room was cozy and spacious at the same time. Everyone there was delightful and eager to please and the location proved perfect, accessible to connecting roads yet in a very private and beautiful setting. We are now sold on B&Bs and will start our search for the next place we need to stay on this site and avoid hotels wherever possible.

We had a very pleasent stay with Ms. Dee's remarkable hospitality. Being from Japan, I appreciate her enourmous efforts to preserve this historic gem.

I came from Holland for a two-month business and pleasure stay at the historic Soundview Manor B&B in White Plains, NY, which has been completely wonderful. I truly enjoyed the experience during my entire stay. Hosts and staff were helpful in every way. My beautiful room overlooking the rear gardens made me feel very comfortable. Never a dull moment with everything Westchester County has to offer. Great restaurants, shopping malls, golf courses, museums and much more, with a quick ride to NYC for my day trips. Recently stayed at Soundview Manor; the staff could not have been more accommodating, and the top floor suite was gigantic, with lovely views of the stately lawn. The mansion, in all of its faded glory, made me feel like I had stepped back into a more elegant time.

What a treat it was to build a crackling fire upon returning to our spacious penthouse suite after an amazing party. The next morning astounded to see deer and a commanding view of the Long Island sound on this 4.5 acre estate so close to New York. Beautifully appointed. We totally enjoyed our stay and our time with Pioneer Feminist Attorney and Innkeeper Ms Dee and ultra-courteous staffpersons Ellen, Jacinta and Simon. David - Hatfield, Massachusetts.

My husband and I stayed in the penthouse for one night this winter. After joining friends for the evening, we returned to Soundview Manor and made a fire in the fireplace. In the morning, we viewed the sound from the french doors leading to a wide open balcony. Having a kitchen was nice and the fresh cherries were very thoughtful. We had a wonderful stay.

It's as if the founders didn't go far enough in naming this beautiful place, for, in addition to sound and sight, Soundview delights the senses of touch, taste, and smell, too. Yet the sixth sense -- hospitality -- shines most brightly.

This is a beautifully decorated home with a very friendly hostess. We were warmly greeted. This was a quick overnight as I was visiting my daughter at Sarah Lawrence and on a tight schedule. I wish it had been more relaxed with time to wander the beautiful grounds. Maybe next time...

There can be no doubt that when you arrange for a stay at this stately manor, you will be happy you did so. The home is a stunning example of an early 1920s era mansion in this old City. The fact that this home and the grounds about it still exist is a tribute to the charming hostess, Ms. Dee. She, likeswise, is a jewel. It is the rare find for anyone looking for an enjoyable stay in this part of Westchester. Don't pass up the opportunity.

Just 35 minutes from Manhattan, this gem is worth your while. The owner, staff and beauty of the surroundings are unbeatable.
