Once again it was a delight to be back for a visit with the family. John, Maria, Nancy and Carlo have got to be the best hosts of any Bed and Breakfast I have visited over the many years of travel. The Mansion is a step back in time to a simpler way of what life was like in the late 1800's. You will be instantly relaxed when you arrive to this regal home, a warm welcome by the owners to their immaculately clean property and the rest is Bliss.... Sincerely Peter T.

Great hosts and definitely worth the cost. This was our second time there. We had a multi-state reunion with friends and everyone had a great experience.

Only stayed one night. The Idlewilde is a beautifully restored old mansion with a good view of Seneca Lake. Our host, Maria, couldn't have been more welcoming and hospitable. We want to go back!

The view of the lake was fantastic, the hosts were genuinely caring, and were able to share some of the history of this wonderful antique home. Very wonderful!!

We had a group of 20 stay at the Inn for the weekend, and we all had a really great time. The Inn is impeccably furnished, and every room has its own nuances that make it interesting and comfortable. The innkeepers were friendly and accommodating. Definitely recommended!

The physical building and grounds were absolutely prestine and beautifully restored. I felt like I had the priviledge of going back in time. The only disappointment was their extremely too strick rules for even having a cup of coffee in your room. Food and drink could only be consumed on the outside porch. I have stayed in several B&B's where we could have a cup of coffee, soda or even a class of wine in your room. Also other B&B's had coffee available throughout the day and evening and early morning before breakfast. Not at Idlwilde! When you are dealing with senior citizens you don't have to worry about an unruly crowd. When breakfast was over with the kitchen and dinning room were locked up very tightly. You felt you had to get out of there. At their prices this is very disappointing to the fact we would not stay their again.
