Echoes of the Glen Bed & Breakfast

I have never stayed at a Bed and Breakfast and my experience was outstanding! I'm afraid every other B&B stay we do will have to live up to this one. Barb and Tom are excellent hosts, serve as great tour guides and provide unbelievable breakfasts.

What a lovely place to end our vacation. The innkeepers were very welcoming, knowledgeable and personable, and gave us good tips on the best places around to visit and dine. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - just wish it could have been longer. Deborah & Kevin

We had a relaxing stay at the Echoes of the Glen B&B. Our hosts, Barbara and Tom made us feel welcome and were accommodating hosts. We were given an upgrade to a larger room, the Concord Suite, which had a private bath, couch and television. The room was comfortable, clean, and quiet. There are two cats and a dog in the home, but you wouldn't know it! Thoughtful touches like a visitor brochures and photo albums in the common areas, as well as a small fridge, wine glasses and corkscrew in the hall outside of our room were great - we had everything we needed to feel right at home. We highly recommend staying here and plan to do so again if we are in the area! Thanks, Barb and Tom!

Barb and Tom run an amazing bed and breakfast. This was my third visit and, as usual, it was fantastic. The rooms are always clean and comfy, the breakfasts are delicious and Barb is always very helpful with finding things to do around town. I can't wait for my next visit.

We recently visited with Barbara & Tom for the Deck the Halls Wine Tour and our stay was absolutely wonderful ! Barbara is a fantastic host, knows all the local hot spots, and boy can she cook ! The place is immaculate and beautifully decorated yet has that "no place like home" feel. We had a GREAT time and will be back again next year. Barbara and Tom were fantastic! They both are very pleasant. Barbara was especially informative regarding the wineries, creameries, local attractions, and events! The food was magnificent as well! We'll definitely stay again when in the area.

We spent one night here recently. Barb was making cookies for us as we walked in the door. Both she and Tom were warm and welcoming. The house is cozy and comfortable. Everything was spotless. Our room (Chardonnay) was lovely and looked just like the pictures. We were served a scrumptious breakfast the next morning. The presentation was beautiful. Coffee, tea and hot chocolate were always available. The inn is close to the park and to downtown and the waterfront. You can walk to all. I would definitely stay here again.

Visit was like staying with good friends, the hosts are warm and friendly, breakfasts absolutely lovely, freshly baked goods followed by a second freshly made course, served on beautiful china with fresh flowers setting the table. Delightful!

We couldn't find a room in Ithaca because it was parents weekend. I found this B&B through your website and made a reservation. The B&B was only 20 min. from Ithaca and was a superb alternate to staying in town. Price-wise, it was a bargain because a very nice breakfast was included in the price. The Innkeepers were absolutely lovely and welcoming. I have stayed at many B&Bs in the past, but this was the first time I stayed somewhere where I actually felt that I was a welcomed guest in someone's home. I would highly recommend this B&B. No hesitations whatsoever. Great rooms, great food great hosts. By the way, the house was absolutely IMACULATE.

This was our first time at a B&B and it definitely exceeded our expectations. The location was great and we were able to walk to the downtown and the Watkins Glen State Park. Everything else was only a short drive away. The owners Barb and Tom were very knowledgeable about the area and helped us plan our 4 days there. We also enjoyed sitting and talking with them. We stayed in the Park room, which is the smallest (and we knew this ahead of time). It was very clean and exactly what we needed since we didn't spend a lot of time there. The breakfasts and cookies were AMAZING! Apple pancakes, stuffed french toast and omelettes to order were delicious. We hope to come back to Watkins Glen someday and we will definitely stay at Echoes of the Glen again.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Echoes of the Glen. Barb and Tom were great hosts and they had really good recommendations for restaurants and wineries. Both were very nice to talk with. The house is beautiful, the bed was comfortable. I think we stayed in the smallest room, but there was plenty of space. Breakfast was yummy and Barb really tried to use local ingredients which I appreciate. Overall great experience, and we plan on staying again next year!

Loved this B&B because of its homey and inviting atmosphere. The owners were friendly and offered many tips and suggestions for restaurants and things to do in the area. The room was very clean, up to date and comfortably furnished with TV, private bath and fridge in the common upstairs hall. The breakfasts were delicious and presented nicely.

We stayed at the Echoes of the Glen this past September. Prior to our visit, I had done extensive research on B&Bs in the Watkins area and all the reviews for this Inn were very accurate. The Inn is very clean, the breakfast was excellent and the hosts were very nice. Barb and Tom also gave good advice on wineries and restaurants. The Inn is right in the village of Watkins so it's a short walk of a few blocks to the shops and a couple restaurants. The state park is 2 blocks away which is nice for taking a hike up the glen trail. The Inn is also convenient for touring wineries on both sides of Seneca Lake. You can see this Inn is popular; just look at the reservations site and they are usually fully booked every weekend. We'll only stay at this Inn when we go back to Watkins in the future. Highly recommend.

The location was extremely convenient, and the service and rooms were great for the price. Having stayed at many Bed and Breakfasts, I can say that this one definitely didn't disappoint. Having the pets around were a nice perk, and the innkeepers were very helpful and knowledgeable about the area.

Recently stayed here for a weekend. The owners are incredibly nice people who keep a clean and welcoming home. The food was really good and the location of the B&B is outstanding. No downside to staying there. Will stay there again in a heartbeat.

House is so beautiful and cozy, in every detail. Room was beautiful with comfortable bed, fireplace. Breakfast was tasty. Barbara and Tom are so nice and friendly. There were 2 lovely cats Teddy and Rita. It was like home. Restaraunts and small shops are 5-10 minutes walk, main entrance to the Watkins Glen State Park is on the over side of the road). Barbara and Tom are wonderful hosts and breakfast was excellent. Located right in the heart of Watkins Glen, Corning and many wineries are within just a few minutes drive. Walking the glen in the state park (almost across the street) is a must. I've only stayed in a few B&B's but can't imagine enjoying the experience any more than Echoes of the Glen.

We have stayed with Barb and Tom several times now and have always found it to be a pleasure. Great hospitality along with an intimate knowledge of the area are just two of the many reasons we have returned as often as we have.

I've stayed at the Echoes of the Glen on numerous occasions. The owners are extremely kind and welcoming. They make the experience all that more enjoyable. The rooms are spacious and clean. I will definitely book again in the future.

This was our first time staying at a b&b and we were very impressed. Previously, we have stayed at small motels and dealt with cheap breakfast options. This was a pleasant upgrade at a very reasonable cost. Our experience at 'Echoes' made us feel welcome. Most times that we passed through the kitchen area, we stopped for a conversation with Barb and/or Tom, the innkeepers. They both have a wealth of knowledge about the town and gave us coupons to use at the local wineries. We have a dog and two cats at home and, coincidentally, the innkeepers have the same. When returning from our day's activities, we were always greeted by their dog, Smokey, by the back door. The cats, Rita and Teddy, love all of the visitors and are not shy about showing up in the living room (or outside our room) to say 'hi' and receive our attention. I'm sure it wasn't planned this way, but having the pets around just added to the feeling that we were at home. Breakfast was delicious. Barb is an excellent chef that is dedicated to waking early and starting breakfast for the guests. Walking down the stairs at 8am to the aroma of breakfast was a delight. A main course was different for each day. Sliced melon, coffee, and other beverages were available every morning. The breakfast table conversation with the other guests was great. We had a chance to talk about where everyone is from, what the plans are for the day, and to share information that we found about the area. The b&b is located along the main road in Watkins Glen and is only a block from the entrance to the park (no paying for parking during our hike!). The road also boasts many restaurants and other little stores. This wasn't our first time visiting Watkins Glen, but it was the first time that we stayed in town for a few days. We will definitely be back in the future and we know to book early at Echoes of the Glen to ensure that we get dibs on the Chardonnay room again.

If your visiting Watkins Glen, and need a place to stay, you won't find a better Bed and Breakfast in town.

Barb and Tom were excellent hosts. They made us feel very welcome and comfortable, and offered maps, directions, and suggestions to support our interests. Barb's cooking and baking where outstanding. Our room was a little small, but had a spacious bathroom. Also, I think it was the smallest room in the inn, and it was fine for us. We would definitely go back.

We spent two nights ant the Echoes of the Glen and couldn't be more pleased. It was like being at home. Barbara and Tom are the perfect hosts.

The owners of the B&B are FANTASTIC. They do a wonderful job making guests feel welcome. The rooms are clean and the location can't be beat. You're within 5-10 minutes (walking) of the downtown area. Highly recommend!

Visited from Friday to Sunday as part of a wine package. Very friendly innkeepers, super clean. Wonderful breakfasts. Great location, able to walk to Watkins Glen and several restaurants. Enjoyed the wineries and everything about the experience.

We celebrated our 54th wedding anniversary with a week in the Finger Lakes. We really enjoyed the whole experience and were especially happy with our choice for lodging. Echoes of the Glen is really a great choice. The owners help make it a memorable place. They are very attentative in every way. We highly recommend the Echoes to anyone planning a stay in the Finger Lakes.

What a gem! Barb and Tom were delightful and welcoming. There were 10 people in our party with a variety of dietary needs, which Barb accommodated graciously. The common areas were well kept, full of charm and local information. Each room was cozy and equipped with a super comfy bed and a private bath. The inn is located just a short walk from downtown and Since Barb and Tom are originally from the area they were full of answers to our many questions. I would definitely refer a friend to stay here and hope to get an opportunity to go back

Barb and Tom are the ultimate hosts. The Inn is immaculate and breakfast was a culinary treat. Barb took our diet restrictions in stride and made sure each person was happy. We enjoyed our visit and felt pampered by the attention and great travel advice they offered. They are conveniently located just a short walk from Watkins Glen State Park and downtown. The Inn is fully equipped and each room has many amenities not found at larger (more expensive) hotels. We loved it and plan to return next year.

We have never stayed at a true B&B and were a little concerned about staying in a stranger's home. No need to worry! Barb and Tom greeted us as friends and made us feel right at home from the minute we walked in. The Chardonnay suite was roomy, comfortable and clean. The breakfasts shared with other guests were a chance to meet people from across the country and the world - a highlight of the day. The delicious, huge breakfasts often held us through lunch. This B&B is just 2 blocks from Watkins Glen State Park - an easy walk to a must-see site. We would come back here in a heart-beat.

Great B&B very clean great service and a good location.

My husband and I wanted to go on a short trip for wine tasting, and found this B&B while searching online. I'm glad we picked this place. The inn is within walking distance from the state park where the gorge is, and a number of great (and affordable) restaurants were nearby. It was nice because we didn't drive anywhere to go eat or shop during our stay. As far as the wine tastings go, Barb the innkeeper gave us great suggestions as to which wineries to try. We love sweet wines, and we probably hit 8 wineries in a day. There is no way we could have found this many wineries specializing in dessert wines on our own! Highly recommend this place!

This was my first stay at a B&B and found the whole experience wonderful. The B&B is located minutes from Watkins Glen gorge, a short walk to downtown and the lake front, and a plethora of wineries and breweries are within driving distances. Tom and Barbara were gracious and inviting hosts, whom offered up great conversation, great food and family-like hospitality. Additionally, Tom and Barbara are highly knowledgeable of the area and were great at helping finalize daily itineraries. Echoes of the Glen is a must stay!

The perfect location while visiting the Finger Lakes. Echoes of the Glen B&B is close to the WGI racetrack, wineries, hiking trails and restaurants. With a fantastic breakfast and the friendliest pets, it's only place we stay when at the Glen.

Great location, 1/2 mile to the pier, 1.5 blocks to the Gorge entrance. Breakfast and homemade cookies the night before were excellent. Clean and well maintained, friendly and knowlegable inn keeper.

House is beautifully decorated, comfortable bedrooms and clean bathrooms ( we stayed in two bdrms). Then Barbara tops it off with a freshly home made breakfast! We had a wonderful stay, thank you.

Barbara & Tom were excellent hosts. They provided us with places to go around town and what to do. They also accommodated vegans with a great assortment of food to choose from. They have fresh fruit, soy yogurt, granola and a variety of juices. I would recommend anyone stay here if they were going to Watkins Glen.

We stayed at the Echoes of the Glen B&B for the first time. Highly recommended by my sister who is a loyal returning guest, I have not been disappointed at all from what she had told me about this B&B. It's such a nice, warm and welcoming place. this was our first time staying in a B&B. The home was very comfortable and clean. The hosts were friendly and made every effort to make our stay wonderful. Breakfasts were delicious, warm cookies before bed, goodies to take on our wine tour which they arranged for us. Would recommend this B&B and will go back ourselves!

Barb and Tom, and their pets made me very comfortable over a three-night stay in October. Barb's breakfasts were generous and delicious and Tom makes a great pot of coffee. My room had a private shower, the house is spotless, very well maintained and fitted out with quality materials. The location is blocks from Watkins Glen State Park and its famous Gorge. It's an experience not to be missed. Wineries line both west and east shores of Seneca Lake. Barb will give good advice on what to see and do. I would recommend this spot highly.

You won't find another B&B with such hospitable hosts. They make you feel as if you were best friends, never an inconvenience. They are so authentic in their willingsness to assist in any way. We have spent time just "hanging around the house" with them, and it has been some of our favorite times spent there. The house is immaculate and comfortable. The best asset is the innkeepers!

Neither my boyfriend or I had ever stayed at a B&B before. We weren't quite sure what to expect. We were very pleased with Echoes of the Glen. It has great location, beautifully maintained accommodations, great food. This B&B has really placed the bar high for any others we may visit. But the best feature of all were our hosts, Barb and Tom. They are so warm and friendly. An added plus is their extensive knowledge of the area.

Very clean & attractive rooms. We were traveling with another couple and disappointed our rooms were on different floors. Breakfast was okay, but carb heavy: coffe cake, pancakes, fruit, juice, brown and serve sausage. Within easy walking distance of state park and several restaurants. Barb recommended the Italian restaurant for dinner; it did not disappoint. There were no snacks available during our brief stay.

I'm sorry that there weren't any rooms available on the same floor for your group at the time of your reservation. We will do our best to accommodate you on the same floor if you return in the future. It just depends on what is available at the time of the reservation. Also sorry that there were too many carbs the morning of your breakfast. Our breakfasts are different each morning and you just happened on a morning of Apple pancakes and sausage. If we know far enough in advance that there is a special diet request, we can get to the store and get what is needed. Sometimes I am spread too thin and can't quite get to baking my homemade cookies. Unfortunately, my husband was ill with a bout of Shingles during your stay so I wasn't able to get to baking cookies that night. We hope you will stay again in the future when I can make a ham & cheese egg bake or special omelette for you.

We would like to thank Barb and Tom for a wonderful stay! We really enjoyed staying here and would again. The room was cozy and the bed was VERY comfortable. Both Tom and Barb were sociable and pleasant, with out being overbearing. We were there for our honeymoon and the location was great. Close to wineries, the Gorge, the lake and all of downtown was right there in walking distance. I would like to note that I am extraordinarily picking on the cleanliness of things, and I was very impressed with how clean their place was. It really meant a lot to me and was greatly appreciated. We only stayed for one night but we very much enjoyed this lovely bed and breadfast. It was clean, comfortable and had an excellent breakfast in the morning. We had one of the smaller rooms but it was just lovely all the same. I would definitely recommend this B & B to anyone. The Innkeepers were also totally nice and personable.

We first visited a year and a half ago. Decided to visit again--wanting an enjoyable, restful place to go for an overnight for spouse's birthday. We're glad we made the decision to experience this a second time!

We have just returned from our annual trip to Watkins Glen. This the third year in a row that we stay at the Echoes of the Glen B&B and plan to return again next Labour Day weekend. Barbara & Tom Merrill are very friendly and makes feel right at home. The breakfasts are yummy and so filling that we usually have to skip lunch. A very inviting and well located B&B with very welcoming hosts-would stay there again

This inn is very clean. The breakfast was outstanding with fresh fruit, bake goods and hot meal every morning. They were friendly and helpful.

Barb and Tom welcomed us into their beautifully decorated home with warm homemade cookies and great conversation. We love cats, and their two cats, Teddy and Rita, as well as their dog Smokey, added their welcome as well. For those who don't care for animals, they will confine them. The house was immaculate and the beds very comfortable. The breakfasts the two days we stayed were delicious- ample, very creative and well presented. We enjoyed our stay and expect to return when we travel to the Watkins Glen area in the future.

We had a delightful stay. Barb and Tom were very gracious, the home was lovely and the breakfasts were delicious. We were stranded for an extra day due to Hurricane Irene closing the airports and the Merrills were more than accommodating. We will come back again.

My husband and I dropped our daughter of at Hobart & William Smith College and wanted to spend an extra day in the area and so we decided to give the inn a try. It was a good decision. The entire inn was spotless and it was nicely decorated....just a welcoming place. We were surprised to find out that breakfast was part of our stay and it was delicious. Full sit down meal...not just muffins and coffee. Barbara was very familiar with the area and able to answer all of our questions. I wish we had more than one night to enjoy the inn. We would go back without thinking twice about it

Close to everything, especially the area's state park, bike trail, and waterfront; definitely consider bringing your bike and walking shoes. Barbara and Tom were pleasant and especially patient with the more "needy" guests. A very nice courtyard in the backyard. Both on and off street parking available. The cats were especially friendly. Breakfasts were delicious!

Well decorated rooms that were very clean and private. Location is next to busy road but the "road noise" was not an issue, could not hear it. Very convenient location to Watkins Glen State Park. Downtown Watkins Glen was a bit further but still walkable. The hosts were very down to earth people and very knowledge on everything local. I would definitely recommend this B&B.

Barb and Tom are very friendly, hospitable innkeepers, and for a comparable rate, made our stay more personal and enjoyable than any hotel ever could. The house is tastefully decorated and very clean, and breakfast is delicious.

Such a lovely home and wonderful warm hosts! The house is spotless and charming. Our room was just perfect for us being on the first floor. The community rooms were comfortable and the dining area was spacious. So welcoming and fun to hang out in the evening after a long day in the Finger Lakes. The breakfasts were varied and excellent. Fresh baked goodies every morning and great coffee! Nice and close to the state park and just a couple of blocks to Seneca Lake. This is a wonderful B&B. It is impeccably clean throughout. Bathrooms are well appointed and have a generous supply of fluffy towels. The food is wonderful. Every day, the aroma of freshly baked muffins fills the dining room. Pancakes with apples or berries, stuffed French Toast and a ham and cheese bake were featured on different days. Before breakfast each day, I sat in the living room, drinking a terrific coffee to get the day going. Barb and Tom give great advice about things to do or see. Their recommendations for dinner were excellent. Echoes of the Glen is a place one shouldn't miss. The Merrills are wonderful hosts.

The B&B is located right across the street from the Watkins Glen State Park to which we enjoyed a morning of hiking up into the gorge. Absolutely "gorge"ous! And, last but certainly not least, are the breakfasts! From baked apples and omelettes, stuffed French toast, apple pancakes and assorted muffins and sweet breads, we found each breakfast to be scrumptious and satisfying!

This B&B is easy to find, close to Watkins Glen International Raceway and the cleanest we have experienced! We found Barbara and Tom to be very kind and friendly, even when we moved our days around at the last minute. Their B&B rooms were comfortable and spotless. This is the best choice to stay in Watkins Glen. Within walking distance of all the restaurants in town and 10 minutes from Watkins Glen International, it is the perfect location to base your Finger Lakes vacation. Barbara's breakfasts are extraordinary and not to be missed. However, if you have early racing at the track, Barbara makes a great to-go breakfast.

Tom and Barbara made all the difference in our visit to lovely Watkins Glen. They had tons of suggestions for dinning and activities. I felt embraced by their kindness and interest in their guests. Friendly pets were a plus! We hope to return to visit again. The place was spotless and provided many thoughtful amenities. So glad I chose this location for our stay.

A very nice and cozy B&B located within walking distance of almost everything in Watkins Glen. The falls are very close and having a televison in the room was a definite plus.

Visited for the wine and chocolate weekend and had a wonderful time. Barbara and Tom go out of their way to make you feel welcome and that makes it a place worth visiting again. Breakfast is exceptional, it is kept very clean, and the inn's central location make it a great place. Went based on a recommendation from a friend and would recommend the place to others.

We stayed at Ecohoes of the Glen for two nights. Barbara's breakfasts were outstanding. She's a great cook. Even my husband was impressed at how beautifully the food was plated and served. The room was spotless and pretty. Tom and Barbara were very good at directing us to restaurants, wineries and attractions in the area. As both Tom and Barbara come from the area they could tell you anything you want to know. Don't hesitate to try it!

We spent four nights at Echoes of the Glen while exploring the Finger Lakes in October - the room was small (we knew that in advance) but it was impeccably clean as was the entire inn. Barbara & Tom are outstanding innkeepers and we highly recommend staying here while visiting the area. J & G

The room and hospitality were great! The owners were accommodating and gave you your privacy. The inn is also a block away from Watkins Glen State Park and a few blocks away from downtown. We will definitely go back!

Was pleasantly surprised as this was my 1st stay at a B&B. Resident animals were friendly and added a touch of home to the stay. Barb and Tom were very accomodating and knowledgable of the area. We stayed in the Park Room. Very lovely room and bath. Tom and Barb were just warm and delightful and made us feel at home. They are very friendly and caring. Breakfast was wonderful! Great coffee! We recently stayed 3 nights & 4 days at the Echoes of the Glen, along with 3 other couples in their Miatas from North Carolina and Tennessee. With our Miatas we were touring the New York State Finger Lakes area, its wineries, fantastic lakes, great scenery and, of course, the Watkins Glen International Raceway. With 8 people at one time for 4 days, we really gave the hosts, Tom & Barbara, a challenge which they were more than up to! The great morning breakfasts prepared by Barbara were the highlight of every day. The sleeping accomodations and common areas were tastefully decorated and well maintained. Tom and Barbara joined the group for a chat most evenings, so that everyone felt a part of the "family". They were also a wealth of information on what to see and do the next day. So, if you are ever going to tour the Finger Lakes area in your sports car, the Echoes of the Glen is the place to stay!

The entire home was immaculately clean. The house pets were friendly and caused no problems at all. Barb is an excellent cook and prepared an incredible breakfast with vegetables and herbs from her garden. After a day touring wineries it was relaxing to sit in the living room with Tom and watch the football game on TV. All in all it was a wonderful overnight stay and I would heartily recommend Echoes of the Glen to anyone.

A walk away from the beautiful Gorge and quaint downtown shoppes, the Echoes of the Glen was the perfect B&B to spend the night. After taking in the Gorge experience, we strolled into the Rooster Fish for some brew. Upon checking in, we were in awe at the beauty and warmth of the B&B. The innkeepers, as well as their two cats and a dog, were wonderful hosts. That evening we ate at the romantic Jerlando's Ristorante and then retired to our comfortable, lovely Rose Room. We awoke to the most delicious breakfast and what a delightful surprise. We wished we were staying longer, but there's always another day! We will certaintly be back for the warm hospitality of Echoes of the Glen.

This was our first experience at a B&B, so we didn't know what to expect. It was wonderful! Barb & Tom, made us feel so welcome. We had the Chardonnay Room, which was lovely, well kept and very clean. The mattress was firm, which is was we love, and slept amazingly well. The home is lovely, and welcoming. The included breakfast was incredible. We loved the apple pancakes, fresh fruit, fresh baked muffins. If you are looking for a place to stay in Watkins Glen, this is it! It's right on the main street, and within walking distance to shops, restaurants, and within a 2 minute walk to the entrance of the State Park. Thanks Barb & Tom for welcoming into your home! We'll definitely be back.

Barb and Tom are more than wonderful inn-keepers, they offer their home to their guests and make us all feel very welcomed. This B&B is immaculate and the environment is warm and inviting. Barb serves up a wonderful breakfast feast each morning, varying the menu each day. She often prepares meals with tasty home-grown veggies. Breakfast hours are flexible, and we have also had breakfast to-go for days at the track. Barb and Tom are a great source of information regarding events going on around town and in the region. They have also recommended great places to eat. Our last visit had a fun twist with me needing a pair of earrings and Barb saving the day by beading a beautiful pair of earrings to match my dress, with all of the female guests assisting in the design. Staying at the Merrill home is like being at home; you feel comfortable, you meet new friends - through other guests, and you stay with a great couple who become your friends. This B&B is our #1 choice when we travel to Watkins Glen.

I wanted to do something different for a short get-away and decided to try a B&B. Barbara and Tom have set the bar incredibly high for any future B&B's I might go to. To say that they are totally dedicated to making your experience the best it can be would be an understatement. And just to watch Barbara in action is exhausting! The rooms are all meticulously spotless,the breakfasts are gourmet and the atmosphere is very homey. I cannot get the whole experience out of my mind, everything from the gracious hospitality of Barbara and Tom to the incredible beauty of the area. I just booked a reservation for the same time next year and I cannot wait to return!

My husband and I plus his brother and wife stayed here one night while on a motorcycle tour of NY wine country. Hosts were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We were able to walk to the restaurant for dinner. The breakfast was all homemade by hisses Barbara and was outstanding. The house is spotless.

My wife and I stayed here for our 3 year wedding anniversary and to get away from our busy work schedules. We had a chance to get to know the innkeepers on a personal note and felt very comfortable here. Our room was amazing and the food provided was delicious. We stayed at Echoes of the Glen B&B one evening in the third week of June. This was to be a small getaway for my husband and I while out children were spending some time with their grandparents. We only had a couple of days, so we chose the Concord Suite for our one night in Watkins Glen. The owners are very pleasant and welcoming. We were very comfortable. We have never actually stayed in a B&B before, so this was our trial run. Let me say, that if this is a sign of what B&B's are like, we'd choose this over any hotel. Most hotels are overpriced, so this was a terrific choice for the amount we spent. It was very clean, like being at home. Definitely up to MY standards of clean. Very friendly little pets as well, as Teddy decided to come up and spend some time with us. We enjoyed the comfortable beds, and slept wonderfully after a long trek through beautiful Watkins Glen State Park and the wandering the days before on the wine trail. A welcome respite. Our aches and pains melted away, leaving us refreshed and pleasantly full after the delicious breakfast! I believe she chose my absolute favorite to make that morning! All in all, we had a wonderful stay, and would definitely go back if given the opportunity.

Tom & Barbara made us feel welcome at every moment. Watkins Glen was an unbelievably beautiful hiking spot. We even borrowed the dog to take him for a walk. The stuffed French toast and the eggs gratin were mouthwateringly good. You won't be disappointed!

My partner and I recently spent 5 nights at Echoes of the Glen. We found the inn keepers, Barbara and Tom, to be the some of the nicest people we have met in our considerable travels. They were eager to help to make our stay an enjoyable one. Many suggestions were offered as to how to make the most of our stay in the Glen. The Inn itself is a most pleasant house with no comforts missing. It is extremely clean and comfortable. The every morning breakfast was always fresh and delicious. I had some of the best nights sleep while we were there. All in all, our stay was a most enjoyable one and we are looking forward to visiting there again in the fiture.

This B&B is a sheer treat. Cozy rooms, artfully decorated; attentive and thoughtful hosts; satisfying breakfasts; and fortuitous location -- can't be beat! Whether you wish to hike, small-town shop, tour a winery, or enjoy the race track, The Echoes of the Glen is centrally located. Even though it's on a main thoroughfare, the hosts kindly provided a white-noise machine. Our fellow guests, as well as Tom and Barb, were interesting conversationalists. This B&B appears to attract adventuresome, deep-thinking folk. And, even though our hosts had a dr appt the AM we left, they generously arranged for a neighbor to provide breakfast for us. What a fabulous find located in prime location right in the middle of Watkins Glen - right across the street from a very quaint ice cream parlour! I stayed here recently along with two friends from the UK whilst we attended a round of the Indycar Series. It proved to be a perfect location both for the local State Park & also for the Race Track. It was also a short walk down to the very pretty riverside marina where we found a couple of good bars & restauarants in which to "wind down" after a hectic day at the circuit. Tom & Barbara, our "hosts" made us all feel extremely welcome & provided a wonderful freshly cooked breakfast for us every morning. They really could not do enough for us & made sure we had everything we needed to make sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. The rooms were lovely, decorated in a typical "colonial style" & the beds were extremely comfortable. All rooms also had air conditioning units which was a great help since we appeared to arrive in what was unseasonally hot weather. In summary a great place to stay where you were made to feel really at "home". Would like to return one day in the future & bring the wife with me rather than the race team mechanics!

Staying at Echoes of the Glen was a delightful experience....the rooms are charming and comfortable and the common areas are very "usable". We always bring our own pillows when we travel and found we didn't need to use them! The bathroom had plenty of room, but the shower was small - not a problem for us, but if you need a roomy shower, you might request the room with the tub bath. Breakfasts were excellent, made with local ingredients and served with special touches - like edible pansey garnishes! Barbara and Tom were helpful, down-to-earth and very attentive to the needs of the guests. It was wonderful being able to walk to the park and to restaurants and not have to take our car. We would definitely stay here again...highly recommended. Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio

We were looking for a place to stay in Watkins Glen that would meet our expectations of being clean, within walking distanct to local attractions, and affordable. We were pleasantly pleased when we found these expectations were met and we also found so much more at Echoes of the Glen. Barbara and Tom were so welcoming and warm. Our room was adorable in decor and we were wowed by the cleanliness. There were more than all the amenities we needed and the breakfasts were delicious! We loved our stay and hope to return. If we head back to Watkins Glen, we will definitely land at Echoes of the Glen B&B--a home away from home.

This is a wonderful place to spend anywhere from overnight to an extended trip. Barb and Tom run a great place with excellent amenities. Located nearly across the street from Watkins Glen State Park it has esy access to the Park and everything in the area. Just be sure to not miss any breakfasts as they are delicious. We had 2 rooms and they were comfortable and spacious.

I would like to start out by saying - I was not paid, discounted for our stay and have never met Barb and Tom before!!!!! That being said this was the 1st time my husband and I have ever stayed at a B & B and this experience was wonderful!! Like all the other reviews - The food was awesome! Barb and Tom have set the bar high for any other b & b we stay at :) We stayed in the Seneca room and it was wonderful. Street side but with the a/c on we didn't hear the traffic. It is walking distance to the park and town. GREAT WEEKEND AWAY! We will be returning! Hershey, PA

We stayed 2 nights in the Chardonnay (yellow) Room. The room and bathroom were very clean. The corner shower stall might be a bit difficult for a larger than average person to negotiate. It was a bit uncomfortable for me and I'm average sized. It also has a skylight which made the bathroom warm in the afternoon, so we showered with the door open and the AC on. On the other hand, it provided wonderful, bright, natural light. We would recommend staying here, the hosts are very nice, very accomodating, and breakfast was good.

Our experience at the Echoes was satisfactory in every way. Although not what we picture as a typical large Victorian mansion for a B & B, it was very spacious and accommodating with ambience. The hosts are very friendly and want to ensure that you fully enjoy your visit. The Nicaraguan coffee was superb!

Upon arrival to Echoes of the Glen, we knew that our innkeepers paid attention to detail. Our room was spotless and very comfortable. The private bath was a huge selling point, and we were not disappointed. Breakfasts were very pleasing and obviously made with care. We received advice on sightseeing and felt at home throughout our visit.

If there were a couple more respectful and kind than Barbara and Tom, I'd like to meet them. We were lucky enough to stay for two nights in the Concord room. The overall trip was amazing and Echoes of the Glen made it better and more comfortable. The entire house and it's owners met us with such warmth. We will be back for another trip soon. What a wonderful weekend we had quilting, relaxing and enjoying in the Echoes of the Glen Bed and Breakfast. It is the perfect place for a group to spend a weekend sewing.

We had a relaxing getaway at the Echoes of the Glen B&B. The B&B was very nice and cozy, the innkeepers were very accommodating to our group of 6. And we took advantage of the Winter Wine Weekend and stayed longer than we originally planned on and very glad that we did! Top two things about our stay were the private bathrooms with showers in each room and the delicious breakfasts!!!

After hiking up the gorge, it was very relaxing to settle in at this exquisite B&B. The hosts were very gracious and made our stay very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. Rita & Ted, the house cats, were an added pleasure.

We visited Seneca lake for my husband birthday. Barbara & Tom made us feel at home in their home. It was a lovely, the rooms were very nicely decorted. Breakfast each day was freshly made, DELICIOUS and hearty - we didn't even need lunch! They had great tips on the area.

This is a great place to stay with friendly owners who are also very good cooks! The area is a great place to visit with hiking and wineries nearby. We had a wonderful weekend and highly recommend them.

After visiting Cooperstown, we spent three and a half days in the Finger Lakes region, and the Merrills couldn't have been more helpful. The food was delicious, and they gave us excellent directions and recommendations as to where to dine, what to see, what would be specifically fun for us, and maybe most importantly since our visit was limited, what to avoid. We had a great time! They were extremely friendly and hospitable, and the entire first floor was ours to relax in and enjoy their company. It has been awhile since we've stayed in a B&B, and our expectations were high, and they exceeded them. Oh...and the pets were great too! We look forward to going back someday, and have GREAT memories.

The location is very convenient.We walked to everything this trip, but many more activities within short driving distance. Family atmosphere. Barbara and Tom were very congenial, as were their pets (Smokey, Rita, and Teddy). Answered our questions and gave us many suggestions for activities. Delicious breakfast. We'll return to do some more browsing in that area.

Echoes of the Glen is a must! Barb and Tom really make you feel welcome. The room was clean and neat. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. With parking in the rear made a safe place to park my motorcycle. When I take my road trips I prefer to stay at a B&B. This one ranks near the top! Watkins Glen State Park is within walking distance. A must see. Barb and Tom are very accommodating and there knowledge of the area was very helpful. Two thumbs up!!

We recently stayed at Echoes of the Glen for the Grand Prix Festival weekend. Barbara and Tom make you feel like family and are always helpful to make your visit enjoyable. Our room was very comfortable with everything you need at your finger tips. Loved the stuffed french toast for breakfast. Very clean, nice room with a great location. It is right across the street from a fantastic hike in the park along the waterfalls. Our hosts were very helfpul and friendly.

Barb and Tom are great hosts. Originally we had booked one room but since they had a cancellation, we decided to stay in one of the other rooms. All of the room we saw were beautiful and so clean. The breakfasts were wonderful, lots to eat and drink. We stayed for 2 nights and would definitely recommend this place. Can't wait to go back.

We stayed here two nights with two other couples. We are younger probably than most B&B visitors (in our late 20s) and sometimes find it challenging to find a B&B that is comfortable with a little younger couple. Barbara and Tom were so extremely nice and comfortable to be around. They gave great vineyard recommendations, running paths, resturants and all around just made our trip fantastic. We all enjoyed the delicious breakfast, both mornings were different too! Echoes of the Glen is a must! Thanks for the frienship bread, my hubby loved it :)
