Cornerstone Victorian B&B

The first contact with Louise and Doug was when I called to reserve a room. I had checked out their website, looked at the availability for the room I wanted and then sent a contact submission from their website. On the day of our arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Doug, with him showing us the complimentary beverage and snacks area, and then he showed us to our room, informing use about the access into the house, and then showing us how the jacuzzi bath and heated floor in the bathroom worked. Doug also gave us some recommendations for dinner. Unfortunately, being a Tuesday evening in April, Warrensburg is a little light on the choice for open restaurants. We decided on George Henry's which was good, and is also within about 15-min walk or a 3-min car ride. Upon return to the house, we enjoyed a wonderful slice of homemade chocolate sponge cake that Louise had made. These are daily good eats that she lovingly puts together for the guests. The room was comfortable, spacious and the jacuzzi tub and heated floor in the bathroom were simply great bonuses! We also had use of the satellite TV service, not that we did much watching of TV. In the morning we were treated to Louise's fantastic 5-course breakfast, that started with fresh fruit and a homemade apple danish, then stuffed sweet pepper, homemade granola parfait, and then rounded out with a wonderful bacon, tomato, egg, arugula and grated cheese on a toasted Ciabatta. Yum! We left the house feeling refreshed and excited that we had found a place not far from home that we could visit again knowing we would greatly enjoy the time there again and again. My wife and I were looking for a place to stay for a weekend getaway. When I came across the Website for the Cornerstone Victorian website.I read the reviews and made reservations for last weekend. Doug and Louise were the such great hosts. The morning breakfasts cannot be described, but must be experienced. Our room was Incredible. Looking forward to our next stay.

My husband and I just returned from our two night stay in the Victorian Chamber. We were so impressed by the cleanliness, the attention to detail, and our charming hosts. The Sleep Number bed was comfy, the sheets were SO soft, and the breakfasts were outstanding! The towels were fluffy and smelled good, and there was even a special set of towels for eye makeup removal. We can't wait to go back in the warmer months.

We have stayed at other B&B's and have been back to Cornerstone a number of times . We cannot imagine the B&B that would top this one. The rooms and the entire property are stunningly beautiful and immaculate. The 5 course breakfasts are downright amazing...we have been back for probably close to 10 visits and cannot recall having the same items yet! And you cannot help but love Doug and Louise, they are the kindest, most wonderful hosts..and no, we are not related!!

My husband and myself were giving this thoughtful gift from our son for Christmas. It was our very first time staying in a bed and breakfast. I can't say enough nice things about Louise and Doug. They are very welcoming and a friendly couple. Each morning we had a 5 course breakfast, which the presentation was beautifully done and tasted out of this world. The rooms are warm and cozy and beautifully decorated. There are plenty of things to do near there,which they were very helpful with and have all the pamphlets on hand.After having such a great experience there, I don't think I will stay in another hotel.

My boyfriend and I were given a weekend getaway as a Christmas present. We had never stayed at a B&B before, but we were very happy with our choice to stay here! The proprietors were friendly and welcoming without being overbearing. We called to say we'd be arriving late, around 10:30pm, and when we arrived, we found an envelope with directions to our room, information about breakfast the next morning and the amenities in our room, and also a plate with a delicious homemade walnut tart. At breakfast, we met our gracious hosts, who provided a sumptuous five-course breakfast which fortified us all the way through a 6 mile hike up Buck Mt. The room was lovely; lush without being gaudy, including a four poster king bed, and working fireplace(!). The rates were very reasonable for the service and quality of the stay. Would highly recommend it!

My wife and I recently stayed at Cornerstone Victorian for the second time while visiting family in the Adirondacks and it was a wonderful experience. The house is beautiful and the rooms are so comfortable. They have an amazing and delicious five course breakfast that we enjoyed so much. I have stayed in bed and breakfasts all around the world and Cornerstone Victorian is my absolute favorite. I cannot recommend them enough.

My Fiance and I were looking for a relaxing getaway from the city. Cornerstone Victorian was exactly what we were looking for. Doug & Louise were so great. Breakfast & desserts were out of this world! Would definitely return!

Simply put, stay here and you will not regret it. Doug and Louise are the most engaging and hospitable innkeepers and individuals we have ever met and that's saying a lot. They are wonderful, and love what they do and the food is the best. The rooms are great, and the entire house beautifully appointed with antiques. We would not hesitate to stay there again should the opportunity arise. Their friendliness is certainly genuine.

My husband and I stayed here in July for six nights. We wanted to visit the Lake George area but did not want to stay right in the Village of Lake George. We found this on line and it looked nice. But, their on line pictures and descriptions do not compare to the actuality of how wonderful this place is! Louise and Doug are personable, informative about places to visit in the area as well as places to eat. They are very accommodating to your needs. The place is kept up very well inside as well as outside - the gardens are beautiful! The wrap a round porch is a delightful place to sit outside and enjoy the snack Louise prepares each day with the hot/cold beverages that are made available. the 5 course breakfasts are out of this world and, I don't know how she does it, she never repeats anything! To let you know just how much we enjoyed our stay - we went back for five nights in October! There was so much to do in the area and we wanted to go back for foliage, so, why not return to this great B & B! We are glad we did.

My husband and I came for our 5th Anniversary. We have 3 small children and have not been able to get away like this since the beginning of our marriage. Our youngest was still breastfeeding so we had to take him with us. Thankfully they were okay with that. My sister and brother-in-law highly recommended the Cornerstone Victorian B&B. We were very happy to be able to experience this place. We went on off season, so we got a great rate. The place was so beautiful and had great charm and character. The proprietors were wonderful, warm and welcoming. The food was EXCELLENT. I am a big fan of breakfast and this one blew me away. It was too much for my husband (he'a not a big breakfast eater), but i was happy to help him out with it. Very fresh, homemade foods with a nice variety. We LOVED the whole experience. We enjoyed our stay enormously and can't recommend the Cornerstone enough. The welcome, rooms, and attention to detail are fantastic. The breakfasts are quite simply legendary!

We loved everything about staying at Louise & Doug's home. They are an awesome team to ensure every last detail has been arranged for our enjoyment. Staying here is an experience in hospitality at its finest. To start off we had the pre-arranged in room couples massge. The heated tile floors in the bathroom with the whirlpool tub was a special touch. The beds are so comfortable! And the food is beyond compare. Fresh, unique and filling. The afternoon or evening homemade desserts were scrumptious! There is an excellent French Restaurant nearby for dinner. They blessed us as we left. This is where we will definately stay again! This was our first stay. Walking into the stunningly gorgeous home, we were met by the ever-enthusiastic Doug who demonstrates the 24-hr refreshment bar and covers the area events. Room was super clean and very quiet. Breakfast each day is a 4-course spread with choice of entree, all prepared by Louise who could be a master chef. Presentation was so well done, guests would leave the table to get their camera before digging in. And everything, every day, was absolutely delicious. They were like ninjas with the linen service - never saw a person, never heard a vacuum, yet you almost turn around and the room is spotless again. The only complaint is that after staying at Cornerstone Victorian, I know I'll never completely enjoy other B&B's as much again. We had a perfect experience and I can't wait to book next year's trip.

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful old house. Just off the beaten path from Lake George. Our room was charmingly decorated, clean, comfy, and quiet. The breakfast was fabulous!

After a wonderful visit last year, we decided that a trip to Cornerstone Victorian should be an annual event. We were not disappointed. The dessert and breakfast were delicious and the service was outstanding.

It was a real treat to stay in this lovely, spacious home where its Victorian architecture has been so carefully retained. We loved the beautiful woodwork, the preserved blueprints, and especially our turret room. The food was scrumptious and our hosts very welcoming and helpful.

My husband and I spent 3 nights at the Cornerstone Victorian, a beautiful home decorated in the victorian style yet completely updated with modern amenities. We stayed in the Turret Room which had a lovely stained glass window over a loveseat that was perfect for afternoon reading and relaxing, as well as enjoying a home baked treat which Louise prepared each day. Breakfast was outstanding-5 courses of deliciousness- we had no need to eat lunch! Louise always prepared 2 different main courses - a sweet and a savory - and it was nice to have a choice (you could also have a combination). Doug was extremely attentive without being obtrusive and we appreciated his knowledge of the area and its attractions as well as his amusing anecdotes. The location of the inn is convenient to Lake George without the noise and crowds of the actual village; everything we wanted to see or do was within a short drive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to another visit.

Upon arrival, Louise greeted us at the door and after that, we felt like family. The home is just lovely. Something you see in magazines but to actually stay in one of these places is truly a treat. We stayed in the Masters Room and enjoyed our stay. Louise gave us a list of places for dinner close by. We were treated to a special dessert upon our arrival along with a beverage cupboard to enjoy any time during our stay. Breakfast was a five course delight (everything home made) and Doug and Louise were always there serving juice or coffee and telling us more and more about their home. We hated to leave because we were heading to a business function nearby and knew that the room there would not be as nice as at the Cornerstone Victorian B & B. We have stayed in other B & B's and this is truly by far the nicest. We would definitely go back there and highly recommend this B & B to everyone that might be traveling to the area. You won't be disappointed.

We've stayed in B & B's, both across the pond and in the Northeast, but Doug and Louise make this B & B experience the best we've ever had. They are a lot of fun, talented, and provide, in our opinion, five-star accommodations. We were treated like old friends on our first visit and everyone felt right at home at the breakfast table (where we loved every bite!). We would highly recommend the Cornerstone Victorian to anyone staying in the Lake George/Adirondack area. It's a quick drive to the lake and the rooms are more reasonable than if you'd stayed closer to the lake. Their five-course breakfasts are only exceeded by their gracious hospitality.

We fell in love with the Cornerstone Victorian, when we first visited here in 2007, visiting relatives who live a short distance away in Lake Luzerne. It took us four years to get back to this neck of the woods, but once we did, we knew that this was the only place we wanted to stay. Everything was just as lovely as we remembered it: the beautiful Victorian Inn, room and gardens; the delicious 5-course breakfasts plus a home made dessert each evening; and of course, Louise and Doug, the most gracious hosts. As we were moving through the Adirondacks and Catskills on this vacation, we stayed at other B&B's - but none could compare to the Cornerstone Victorian.

Louise & Doug were fantastic from the beginning of our stay till we left. The service and food were amazing. We stayed in the Master Suite which had a balcony that over looked the gardens and the room itself was beautiful. We would definitely come and stay here again and would recommend it to all!! The Cornerstone Victorian B&B is a lovely inn where the innkeepers make each guest feel right at home. They serve the most spectacular 5 course breakfasts and a delicious dessert of the day is provided each afternoon. The innkeepers are very knowledgeable about the area and are a fantastic help in planning out your stay. We can't speak highly enough of this inn and innkeepers!

From the beautiful Victorian rooms to the delicious gourmet breakfasts to the warm and friendly hosts, Louise and Doug--everything was just perfect. In fact, our stay at Cornerstone Victorian was the highlight of our four days.

The CORNERSTONE VICTORIAN is an exceptional bed and breakfast with 5 star quality. Doug and Louise are wonderful hosts and they have thought of everything to make your stay most enjoyable. They are friendly, personable and very professional and really treat you like an extension of their family. It is easy to see why the CORNERSTONE has won " Inn of the Year" and "best breakfast". Louise prepares a five course gourmet breakfast each morning that is decadent and served with panache. Louise also prepares fresh baked desserts every day and complimentary beverages such as water and pop are available. The house was built in 1904 and is filled with stunning antiques. We stayed in the Masters Chamber that had a four poster canopy bed and private balcony. The stained glass in the separate walk in bathroom is from the civil war era. Wireless internet is available throughout the inn. Doug and Louise are very knowledgable about the local area and are full of ideas on what to see, do and where to have a wonderful dining experience. We dined at The Grist Mill and Le Roux on their recommendations and we had wonderful dinners. The location of the CORNERSTONE in Warrensburg is great and only a short drive to Lake George, Bolton Landing and Saratoga Springs. My wife and I have stayed at many bed and breakfasts and this is the BEST. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, we will be back!!

On our way home from Syracuse, NY to Long Island, we serendipitously decided to stay overnight in the Lake George area. We checked a few hotels and nothing seemed to say "This is the Place" until we drove by the Cornerstone Victorian B&B. It called to us like the song "Bali Hai." What a lovely welcoming, charming, antique-filled, warm and inviting B&B. Louise & Doug were gracious hosts. Louise loves to bake and it showed in the dessert we ate on arrival (chocolate coconut cheese cake). The five-course breakfast was magnificent. The pumpkin muffins covered in cinnamon sugar were the BEST. The gardens were beautiful, our bed was so comfortable with wonderful pillows and the extra attention to detail was extraordinary. We will highly recommend The Cornerstone Victorian to all our friends and family. The price was" just right" as Goldilocks would say.

This was our second visit to the Cornerstone Victorian and our expectations were once again exceeded. We have stayed in many B&Bs throughout the country and this Inn by far sets the standard for how all B&Bs should be. Doug and Louise are the most gracious hosts we have ever encountered. A visit to their house is more like a visit with old friends than staying at an Inn. The house is beautiful and immaculate, decorated with period furnishings. The breakfasts were exquisite, again. The evening treats were as well. We decided to try the in room massage on this trip and we highly recommend it. Anyone looking to stay in the Lake George region should stay here. It is close to everything but away from the crowds. It will make a vacation more than just a memory.

This year our family stayed at the Cornerstone Inn while on our family vacation. It felt like such a home away from home. It is so beautiful and Doug and Louise are such wonderful and gracious hosts. The breakfast every morning was out of a Southern Living Magazine and an amazing treat to wake up to. From the pictures on the website and the reviews that we read, we knew we were in for a treat, but it was even more than we imagined. I've had many great experiences at B&Bs but nothing will ever top my stay at Cornerstone. Everything was outstanding. Our room was large, beautiful, immaculate, and comfortable. The breakfast each morning was a five course meal made up of many delightful flavors. We could not finish it all but we couldn't resist eating most of it and savoring every bite. And Louise and Doug were gracious, loving, thoughtful hosts who helped inform us about the area and ensured we were very comfortable while at the inn. It's hard for me to imagine a better B&B than Cornerstone.

My husband and I stayed here this past 4th of July weekend and we were literally blown away by the beautiful inn, the hospitality of the hosts (Louise and Doug) and the absolutely delicious 5 course gourmet breakfast each morning! The rooms were beautifully decorated and the oversized jacuzzi tub was great! Doug and Louise went out of there way to make our stay so special and one that words cannot even describe. We cannot wait to return! This is a "must stay" at B&B!!

I stayed at the Cornerstone for the 4th of July holiday staying 4 nights. This was my first ever B&B Experience. I must say, Doug and Louise are AWESOME! I have never experience such hospitability. Their home is beautiful and the rooms are outstanding. Doug and Louise really go above and beyond in making your stay as pleasant and enjoyable as possible suggesting activities places to dine etc. I really enjoyed my stay with them and will be returning again next year. Going forward I will try to stay at other B&B’s when traveling and again as I stated this was my first experience, Doug and Louise set the bar really high, lastly… Louise’s breakfasts and snacks are amazing!!! Amazing 1 night stay. We were immediately greeted by Doug as we were walking in and met Louise inside. Their hospitality is second to none! The whole house is beautiful, clean and full of Victorian pieces. My favorite decoration was the original blueprints hanging in the staircase.

My husband and I spent 6 nights at the Cornerstone Victorian B&B very recently. From the instant we met Louise and Doug we knew we were in for a vacation we would never forget. Louise surprised us each morning with her superb baking and cooking. She also kept us entertained with her stories of life as an Inn Keeper. In the guest refrigerator each evening we found a different fresh baked dessert each day. We also were able to help ourselves to hot and cold beverages any time of the day. They never stop working to keep things so beautiful and they do it with such pride and enjoyment. Doug even managed to put air conditioners in the windows of each guest room when he heard the weather was turning very warm, much earlier than usual. Now that is service! We hated to leave. We felt as if we were leaving very good friends, which we now consider them. So Louise and Doug we wish you continued success and maybe some day our paths will cross again. Everything about the Cornerstone Victorian was incredible. The rooms are immaculate and cozy, the 5-course breakfast is out of this world, and Doug and Louise are the two most genuine hosts you could ever ask for. This is truly an experience everyone should have and we will definitely be back again and again and again!

My husband and I recently stayed here as a weekend getaway. We had originally looked at staying at a hotel in Lake Placid but the price for a standard hotel room in LP was the same or more expensive than a room with a king size bed and Jacuzzi at the Cornerstone Victorian. And the experience was a hundred times better! Louise and Doug are amazingly hospitable. They both greeted us at the door, gave us helpful info about the area and the inn. The room was spectacular. The bed was so comfy I almost didn't want to get up for breakfast - but I'm glad I did! They served 5 delicious courses, the last of which was an amazing espresso french toast. If you're ever in the Warrensburg area I highly recommend this B&B. It's the best one we've ever stayed at!

From the moment we arrived on Sunday until the moment we left on Thursday Louise and Doug were unbeliveable hosts (actually their hospitality started before we arrived - when we called to reserve a room back 3 months prior!). Whether it was recommending activities to do, or where to go for dinner, or about the history of their home, they always took the time to talk to you as friends. The house itself is absolutely stunning and wonderfully decorated. It really made you feel that you stepped back in time. Besides the room we stayed in we also got a chance to take a look at all of the other bedrooms; each has its own unique style and personality that would surely please anyone. Now for the food, all we can say is .... wow!! Every course each day was fabulous, and every day brought new surprises that we couldn't wait to try. And then, after spending the day out exploring the fantasic Adirondacks, to come back to the Cornerstone to have a different dessert waiting for you each night was just the perfect ending to a perfect day. As other reviews have indicated, the only negative was having to leave the Cornerstone. Louise & Doug thank you so much for making our 1st experience at a B&B such a memorable one. My first time at a bed and breakfast and it was a great experience. My room was very clean with a beautiful fireplace in it, that was ready to be lit. Doug and Louise made sure that our experience was great, they thought of everything we might need. Breakfast was an experience in itself. Highly recommend this bed and breakfast and hope to stay again.

My husband and I (along w/another couple who stayed here previously) went for a long weekend on 10/29. Everything about the B&B was great. Doug and Louise were wonderful hosts, breakfast on both days was really wonderful, the house was beautiful and the rooms were each special in their own way. Louise is a great chef and her desserts left me wanting more. I'm still tasting the cream cheese crumb we had on day one. We stayed in The Masters Chamber and my only regret was we ran out of time to light the fireplace. Our stay coincided with the Graveyard Walk and dessert following and Doug was the guide. This was an added treat that the four of us enjoyed. The location is close to lots of things to do. I would highly recommend the Cornerstone to anyone who will listen and am already eager to make plans to go back again.

We fell in love with the Cornerstone Victorian on our first stay a year ago when I was looking for someplace extra special to celebrate a milestone birthday. Even since, we have been talking about coming back. We just spent the weekend along with friends of ours that have never been to a B&B before. I have a feeling they are as hooked as we are. We stayed at Cornerstone Victorian 10/22/10 on the once a year graveyard walk tour and dessert buffet at the B & B, unbeknownst to us. It certainly causes the crowds to come to Cornerstone Victorian and no wonder too. Louise makes all her own pies, cakes, tarts, etc. She has exquisite taste for cooking and baking! Both Louise and Doug made us feel at home and more. All amenities were thought of, from a sleep number to the heated bathroom floor. We stayed in the East Lake Chamber which has beautiful ornate furniture, stained glass window, and a wonderful modern whirlpool! We hiked one of the high peaks but before we left we enjoyed their five course breakfast which kept us full and energized for the full hike. Again the innkeepers worked as a team serving all the guests with personal accommodation, welcoming laughter, and conversation. If you choose to stay here you will not forget it. Highly recommended!

Louise and Doug are the perfect B&B Proprietors! They love what they do and it shows in the exqusite breakfasts, their conversations, victorian decor, condition, and cleanlinest of Cornerstone Victorian. My wife & I stay at B&Bs twice a year and Cornerstone Victorian was one of the best ever. Doug & Louise are gracious hosts and the beds are to die for. We'll be back for sure!

Beautifully maintained property, watched over by wonderful people. Doug and Louise are perfect B&B hosts. The 5 course breakfasts are amazing, so come hungry. The afternoon cake or pie is always a perfect way to end a day. The only negative that you should know about is that the inn is on a heavily traveled road, and if you are a light sleeper, it could pose a problem. Other than that, it's a perfect place to spend a few days; and then to go back for a few more days whenever you can. Also, there are some wonderful restaurants in town, and don't miss the Gore Mountain Alpaca Farm about 15 minutes north.

We just returned from a 3-night stay - Louise and Doug made us feel completely at home! The room was immaculate - the amenities were all that we could have asked for - and more. The breakfasts are beyond words - with everything baked and cooked right on site. And be sure to save room from your dinners out to have dessert back at the Inn! Louise and Doug also made excellent recommendations for restaurants, sites to visit, etc. - and they keep a great supply of maps on hand, as well. A wonderful, relaxing and welcoming place.

You will be hard pressed to find more gracious hosts than Doug and Louise. They have a beautiful home nestled in Adirondacks and within walking distance of fine restaurants and historic sites. Breakfasts are the best you will ever have at a B&B and the evening deserts are always a sumptuous treat. Highly, highly recommended if you enjoy fine food surrounded by fine furniture and enveloped with charming guests and hosts. We will return soon.

We found this B&B in a link to region's tourism organizations and fell in love with the appearance of the house. Upon our arrival, we were astonished at the beauty of the victorian home. First of all, Doug and Louise are fantastic. They are beyond accomodating they treat their guest as they would guests in their own home, like family. You really need to diet before visiting them because the 5 course breakfast is so delicious you cannot resisit it. We love Warrensburg and the Cornerstone Inn. This is definitely a 5 star inn!

My husband and I are from Florida. We planned a trip to Boston, then onto NY and our final distination was Vermont. We made reservations at the Cornerstone Victorian B&B. It was everything that we expected and more. Both Louise and Doug were warm and welcoming. Not to mention that Louise is an A+ cook. The B&B was clean and beautiful. We will definitely make sure we come up to visit again. Our stay was only for one night, but our next visit we will spend a couple more days.

The Cornerstone Victorian was the perfect getaway for my husband and me. The 5 course breakfast was outstanding and Doug and Louise were the perfect hosts.

To simply say that Louise and Doug made our stay wonderful would be a gross understatement. The beautiful room, house and absolutely delicious food (and cakes!) made this weekend an unforgettable experience along with the great views. When Rachael Ray comes to visit, she'd have to learn some cooking from Louise.

My sisters had stayed at this b&b in the past and had raved about it. I joined them on their skiing weekend this past February, and I have to say it was better than they desribed. It was a beautiful house, but what I really loved what how wonderful the host and hostess, Doug and Louise were (gracious, kind, entertaining), and the 4 or 5 course breakfast we had. I wish I had enough room to store it all. I would highly recommend!!

The B&B is what you should hope a B&B to be. It has all the comforts, some things you will undoubtedly really like, others may find a nit or two to pick, but you can not get better than Doug and Louise. Their hospitality is beyond compare and they are always there to help. The 5 course breakfast is nothing short of FANTASTIC, just be sure to bring a little extra room to fit it all. Doug and Louise are awesome! We were in the area for some winter sports and they took great care of us. They were attentive and helpful and recommended great food and were quick to help us with local outfitters. They seemed really genuine about us enjoying ourselves. The complimentary dessert and refreshment station is brilliant--there was always a wonderful cake or pie waiting for us when we came in. The inn is beautiful and the room was spotless. I felt instantly at home.

Cornerstone Victorian offers a getaway beyond your expectations in every way. The house and rooms are immaculate and beautifully decorated, the food is beyond compare in taste and presentation but the best part of the stay is the hosts. They are truly special.

We stayed in the East Lake Chamber. A beautiful room where every details is cared for from a select comfort bed, to heated tile floor leading to a 2 person jacuzzi tub. The breakfast is indescribable. Each course comes out and I was amazed it was all so delicious. Plus a decadent dessert at night. Doug and Louise are such sweet hosts!

This was the first time that my boyfriend and I had been at a Bed and Breakfast. Louise and Doug were so very friendly, with a strong knowledge of the hospitality business. They made our stay completely wonderful and made us feel at home. The breakfasts were ABSOLUTELY SPECTACULAR!! My boyfriend was so excited to find out what were going to have for breakfast the next day that he said it felt like Christmas Day every morning. We received great rates which included lift tickets at Gore Mt. Both Louise and Doug had numerous suggestions of places to eat and sites to see. This was truely a "FIVE STAR EXPERIENCE."

My wife and I stayed at the Cornerstone B&B for 2 nights, while skiing at Gore Mountain. Fantastic experience all around. The house is an architectural gem, and obviously in very good hands with Louise and Doug. The high point though was breakfast, which was perfect both days - quite possibly the best breakfast I have ever had.

My husband and I drove the 60 miles north to Warrensburg for a one night getaway last weekend. It was quaint, relaxing, charming and wonderfully rejuvenating. The innkeepers were friendly, tea, coffee and dessert bar were great, and the breakfast was absolutely phenomenal.

We just returned from 3 wonderful nights with Doug and Louise at the Cornerstone Victorian B & B. It was our second stay, after a wonderful 2 night stay in October. Again, my husband and I were not disappointed and we had a wonderful stay. Arriving was like coming home as we were quickly and warmly welcomed, first by Louise, and quickly after by Doug. Our room was the East Lake and it is a large room with a whirlpool for 2. I adored this room and it was more than large enough for the massage therapists who provided a couple's in-room massage. Louise's 5 course breakfast is to die for. My husband and I would not eat again until supper because breakfast was so filling. Then after supper, we returned "home" to find luscious desserts waiting for us. The beverage bar is a wonderful asset. Soda, tea, coffee, water are all at your fingertips 24 hours a day. Having complimentary WiFi available was also a great asset. I could do my homework and check my emails so I could enjoy my weekend without guilt. Louise and Doug remain abreast of area events and were able to share that an auction was occurring. We cannot wait to return.

Doug and Louise are superb B&B hosts. Honestly the pictures don't do the place justice. We wanted a quiet restful new years and we got it at this beautiful place. Our room and jacuzzi were spectacular; breakfast was superb and the area itself had many charming spots to check out. A full service B&B -- we won't stay anywhere else when we're in the adirondacks.

Given all the glowing reviews already posted, this may seem redundant, but Doug and Louise deserve the praise. The place is very nice and well kept. However, it's hospitality and service that makes the stay exceptional. They are so nice, you'd never believe they do this day in and day out for so many people. The breakfast and evening cake is made from scratch by Louise and is fantastic. It's a crime to waste food, especially theirs. We saved a couple of the five breakfast courses with us for our hike up Buck Mountain. Complimentary beverages keep you happy too. Our room (My Lady's Chamber) is not huge, but it is very nice. It looked better in person than in the pictures. The bathroom is up to date with a jetted tub for two. Nothing is perfect (see below), but they work hard to address any issues, and a reasonable person should not expect more than that. An older building has its quirks - radiator only comes on at certain times, but Doug promptly provided us with a plug in heater to fix that situation. Make sure you understand how to work the heated bathroom floor, so you get the most from it. You could pay twice as much to stay at the boathouse, which is probably great, but you won't be disappointed here. It's not cheap, but it's very good value, and if you want a special stay when in the area, don't hesitate to upgrade over a run-of-the- mill hotel or B&B. I hope Doug and Louise never get complacent, and it seems from the reviews posted they have not over the years. They have a really good thing going for themselves and for you if ever stay.

All our needs were thought of. The breakfast was beyond expectations which consisted of 5 courses! Gourmet cooking! One of the best personal touches were the owneres themselves; always willing to open their hearts as well as their home!

I stumbled upon the Cornerstone Victorian B&B on the internet and I am so glad I did. Doug greeted us immediately and warmly. He was quick to point out areas of interest and shared the menus from surrounding restaurants. He phoned one restaurant to confirm their hours and gathered additional information on another from the internet. We were able to see all the available rooms as we were the first to check-in for the weekend. All the rooms are beautifully decorated in true Victorian style yet our bathroom had wonderful upgrades (a jet tub and radiant heating in the bathroom floor). The 5-course breakfast is to die for. I was full at the 4-th course, but could not miss tasting the 5-th. Additionally, there is a dessert every evening. I especially appreciated the 24-hr beverage bar with coffee, tea, cocoa, and soda. Doug and Louise provided information for massage therapists prior to our stay. My husband and I were able to enjoy a couple's massage right in our room. All-in-all, we felt incredibly spoiled and were so happy with our stay that we immediately booked another before leaving. I feel blessed to have found Doug and Louise and look forward to returning in January.

We had the most wonderful experience at the Cornerstone in Warrensburg, NY. We never knew there were so many gourmet delights for breakfast. The rooms were immaculate and the hospitality was outstanding.

The Cornerstone Victorian offers outstanding value for money. The room was possibly the cleanest we've ever encountered and was tastefully furnished with antique touches. A lovely place to stay near Lake George--removed from the hustle and bustle at the lake. Pretty and comfortable room. Excellent breakfast--so filling you just don't need lunch. Great hosts too.

This B & B experience has put the Cornerstone at the top of our list ~ hands-down our favorite B & B ~ and we have stayed at many! Where do we begin ~ immaculate, the feeling of home: warm, cozy, and comfortable. The home is tastefully decorated and exceptionally maintained, wonderful flower gardens & porch for relaxing. Ideally located! Gracious hosts and culinary delights will have us going back again!

Our first visit will lead to many more as this was by far one of the best places we have ever stayed in. Our hosts were gracious, helpful and friendly. Our room was charming, spotless and amenities in abundance. The chocolate truffles were a wonderful treat at bedtime. Breakfast was five courses - we had to actually skip one course because we were so full! The food was excellent. Louise, we were told, loves to cook and that was apparent in everything we ate. A gourmet coffee maker was available 24 hours and on arrival we enjoyed a home baked banana cake with cream cheese frosting - absolutely yummy. The house is classic Victorian with all of the wonderful details of that era in tact and lovely restored. As former owners of a comparable bed and breakfast for 10 years, we can only say keep up the wonderful work - you have made a lasting impression on us. We will be back. We stayed here on our honeymoon and it was absolutely fabulous. Doug and Louise are the nicest people I ever met in my life and the breakfast was out of this world. We will going there again next fall.
