Bed & Breakfast Wellington

Stayed at this B&B due to proximity to downtown and particularly the north end near St. Joseph's Hospital. Room was large and comfy and quiet. Proprietors were friendly and made a great breakfast -- fresh fruit, asparagus, bacon, quiche, muffins, toast, jam, coffee & tea! Would happily stay there again

This charming Tudor home accomadates it guests with rooms filled with sunlight.Ray and Wendy are as charming; as is their house.It was a wonderful stay where everything was taken care of with love and thoughtfulness.The plants throughout thrive, as Wendy pays special attention to them and to her guest.Love the marathon bread and cheese also the hard boiled eggs it kept me happy.

My only small beef; hard boiled eggs for breakfast ! I have those at home !! Otherwise, nice people in a fascinating home.

Staying with Ray & Wendy at Bed & Breakfast Wellington is like staying with family. You feel like you are at home -- but no one in my family ever made me such delicious breakfasts!

My husband and I were welcomed by Wendy and Ray on August 1, 2012 and we stayed for 3 great nights. We were looking forward to total relaxation due to some particular personal stresses and we were not disappointed. We stayed in the Stickley room, a large room with antiques and also with a great private balcony/patio overlooking the tree-lined street. We are both from the area and now live in Florida so it was just so pleasant sitting out under the oaks. The house was beautiful and sparkling clean. Being an older home, the bathroom was small, and the dressing area was in the bedroom itself, but no bother to us. The room could, however, use a make-up mirror due to low lighting for the vain women that may stay there. :) Breakfast on the sun porch was terrific and we came to know Wendy a bit and just enjoyed her so much. We were in the middle of a heat wave, so it was very difficult to keep everything on the table for too long, so poor Wendy had to traipse back and forth re-setting the table as we were late risers! We will definitely stay there again!! Thank you Wendy, and the rest of our vacation in Lake Placid was fantastic! Darlene and John K.

What an interesting house! Fun to explore all the rooms and interesting features. Wallace Nutting collection is beautiful. We felt right at home with the owner and would definitely return. Loved the Lemon Grass restaurant close by.

We were in Syracuse for our daughter's graduation and wellington B&B made it a fabulous weekend. The food, company and accommodations were outstanding.

The Inn's historic architectual design, it city neighborhood niched with traveler's amenities, and it central drive about location, are more than enough. But what really made me a return visitor are the sparks of progress in Syracuse. Framed by mountains and Lake Onandaga, tall construction rigs continue to dominate the skyline. A quick preuse online matches what is most evident on the streets, reordered infrastructure, far reaching R&D employment, techie education and advancement. For those not familiar with mobile apps that the city provides for tourist and parking convenience, there are walking "ambassadors" who provide ready assistance and guide to the renewed walkability and well marked streets, reestablished housing, parks and attractions. Syracuse is equidistant between the financial centers of two countries (Toronto - Canada, New York City - USA) so its citizens enjoy sport and culture at the highest levels while firmly pitching localization such as this nestled city Bed and Breakfast. Far beyond Starbucks comforts, the hosts at this Inn provide hallmark service of every care and consideration.

I had a few special requests during my stay that were met with perfection -- great friendly hosts.

Convenient Location close to downtown Syracuse and right off 81. Very nice room, very clean room, very comfy, really wonderful breakfast, but best of all the people were warm, friendly, welcoming, fun to visit with, and made the experience much better than average. We are regular B&B goers and this one is one of the best experiences so far.

We spent 2 weeks in our hometown of Syracuse at the Wellington. What a treasure! Wendy and Ray made us feel like family and welcomed our family and friends with open arms. The location is great and the apartment perfect. Can't wait to come back!

My wife, and I, recently spent a wonderful night at the Wellington. The following morning we were greeted by "a breakfast fit for a king". This experience was enhanced by the friendliness of the hosts and the wonderful surroundings of their home. It made a rainy weekend much brighter.

My husband and I were just passing through Syracuse for one night and were delighted to find this "gem" in Syracuse. Delightful host and hostess, exceptionally clean and well appointed rooms. Lots of information on places to go and suggestions on wonderful restaurants in "Little Italy".

An inn with great character and and a warm and welcoming atmosphere! The hosts are friendly, attentive and very helpful. The only thing I can think to change - I wish there was more counter space around the bathroom sink.

We had a relaxing stay there with our son. We hadn't seen each other in a month for military training so it was a great way to relax. Yummy breakfast and awesome suggestions for things to do in syracuse! We felt at home! We will stay again!

I selected Bed & Breakfast Wellington, quite honestly, because it came up 1st when I did an internet search, and I was in a hurry to book a place. Little did I realize that this selection would allow me to to be welcomed and really made to feel at home. The house is more beautiful than the photos on the website shows, with its beautiful woodwork, oriental rugs, gorgeous antique furniture, china, and more. Bathrooms are updated and the entire property is IMMACULATE. Breakfasts are obviously well prepared, beautifully presented, and Wendy will accomodate any personal dietary restrictions without blinking an eye. Location within Syracuse is great for easy access to almost everywhere. My planned stay was 4 nights, but circumstances changed, and I ended up being there for 11 nights. Wendy and Ray (innkeepers) rolled with my plans, and provided friendship and support for me above and beyone what anyone could expect. Do yourself a favor if you are looking for a place that will become a special memory, stay at Bed & Breakfast Wellington!

This is wonderful inn at which to stay over the Christmas holidays! The house is decorated extensively and tastefully---with a Christmas tree in every room. The innkeepers are attentive but not intrusive, and the food is very good. I was traveling with a friend for a "girls' shopping trip" getaway. The Mercer Room is large and has 2 queen beds---perfect. The Inn is close to the Carousel Mall (less than a 5-minute drive) and only a couple miles from downtown shops. There is ample parking behind the inn (off street). The inn is fragrance free---which was wonderful for me and asthma.

Wendy and Ray are the perfect hosts and could not do enough to make our visit homey and comfortable. The Mercer room was wonderful and just perfect for 2 best friends having a Holiday getaway. The Christmas decorations throughout the house were just beautiful. Our location was close to Armory Square and the Carousel Mall. We had a great time for a very reasonable price. The warmth and friendliness of out hosts was just part of a wonderful experience spending a night in this historic B&B. The home was filled with charm. Hospitality at its finest. Breakfast was amazing. Good food and great conversations.

The proprietors were very knowlegeable about the area's events and places to go. They were very accomodating. Our son lives just down the street from them and he joined us for breakfast the last day we were there. Wendy provided a variety of foods and took special interest in preparing foods for our particular dietary needs. The rooms in the house were gorgeous and were furnished in the period in which the house was built. Ray and Wendy both have a sincere passion for their business and this wonderful old house.

This B&B stood out to me because there was a definite effort by the owners to make our stay the most pleasant possible. The refrigerated was stocked for our convenience.

Wendy and Ray, the innkeepers, were so helpful! Anything we needed...dining, cross-country skiing, directions, etc. Breakfast was outstanding!

My experience is that Bed and Breakfast Wellington has occupied the apex of central New York's accommodations for years and years. Owners Wendy and Ray effortlessly anticipate customer needs. Look no further for comfort, excellent breakfasts, and the opportunity to meet others in a warm, homelike setting. I would stay nowhere else in central New York.

With ample parking out of sight behind the house, flowers lead you to the door for a warm welcome and a quiet night...and a marvelous cooked breakfast the next morning.
