A grand country home at the end of the lane offering a picturesque setting with over 100 acres nestled between the historic and panoramic Mohawk and Schoharie Valleys of upstate New York. The Adirondack and Catskill Mountain ranges to the north and south are within an hour drive away.
A destination in itself, Stone Rose offers two lovely accommodations(private baths) with old fashioned, plentiful home cooking at equitable rates and most importantly, genuine hospitality to all.

    Midway between Manhattan and Rochester we are easily accessed from various major routes.
    From N.Y.S Thruway (I-90) Use exits 25A,27, 28 or 29.
    From I-88, use exits 23, 24
    From U.S. Route 20 east, exit right at light in Sloansville onto St.Hwy 162 north.
    From U.S.Route 20 west, exit .08 mile after light Carlisle left onto 7A/ Corbin Hill Road.
    Stone Rose is located on West Corbin Hill Rd off of Corbin Hill Rd. between U.S. 20 and St.Hwy 162.
    On West Corbin Hill Rd. go .07 mile to the end of West Corbin Hill Road. Turn left up driveway at the stop sign (the stop sign is only there so you don't drive into Fly Creek) YOU'RE THERE!

Go approx. 11.52 miles. Take exit 25A(Schenectady-toll)connect straight to I-88. Go 5.71 miles. Take exit 24 (Duanesburg)Connect left onto Route 7 until intersection in Duanesburg and U.S. 20. Bear right onto U.S. 20. Continue to traffic light in Sloansville. Turn right onto St. Hwy 162 north. Go 5 miles to intersection at Charleston Four Corners. Turn left onto Corbin Hill Road. Go 1.3 miles. Take second right onto West Corbin Hill Road (Dead End). Go 7/10 mile to stop sign and end of road. Turn left up driveway.

      First and foremost making our guest's stay comfortable, enjoyable and memorable is our primary interest. Being life long residents we also have interests steeped in local and state history as well as early American architectual design. We practice organic flower and vegetable gardening and use our combined Polish and Italian heritage when cooking many of our dishes. We have made use of the stones and roses (our namesake)on the grounds in the creating of interesting landscape designs.

    What's the best thing to do after a full country breakfast at Stone Rose? Take a stroll of course, around our many manicured trails and gardens. Then sit a spell and be mesmerized by the rippling waters of our twin ponds. You will not believe the size of our 'pet' bullheads and bass! Enjoy the last bursts of autumn color with our romantic picnics under the old oak trees. Ask about our rides over the fields and through the woods to observe nature in the summer and fall seasons.
    A local 1865 Italianate mansion was dismantled and salvaged by your innkeepers. Part of its glory was rebuilt in the many joyful years creating Stone Rose. The Christmas season is especially festive with numerous area holiday events and activities. At Stone Rose it is a welcoming time for all beliefs. Peace on earth and goodwill to all.Table for two? Or party for 15? Enjoy the southern exposure basking in the soft morning sunlight of the dining room while watching the birds and butterflies flit about the ponds and gardens. Or come sit on our large country porch overlooking the gardens while enjoying your breakfast.
    The sitting room of the Suite affords more luxury for those special occasions and getaways. With a Tuscan decor and cherry flooring, this room overlooks the beautiful ponds and hillside off into horizon. You can relax by the fireplace in either the Lazy Boy chair or the sofa (sofa bed) while watching your favorite shows on satellite T.V. or using your laptop with our wireless internet. You'll have use of your own air conditioner, refrigerator with complimentary refreshements as well as microwave, iron and ironing board. This room has separate access to the private bath and connects through a door to the bedroom. The Garden View Room offers a spectacular view panning over the rose gardens to the meandering creek below and far into the woods and meadows. This queen room with private bath features a delux 'Englander Mattress'with down comforters and pillows. (Hypo-allergic available.
 The Garden View is furnished with special pieces and artwork created by the craftsmans and artisans who have called the Mohawk and Schoharie Valleys home.  The room offers air conditioning, 2 Lazy Boy recliners. Satellite T.V. Microwave, refrigerator w/refreshments, desk and chair, wireless internet and many other ammenties.
    The bedroom of the Suite decorated in a Tuscan motif with cherry flooring offers a great sweeping view of the ponds and hills. A luxurious delux queen, hypoallergenic latex, Englander mattress with down pillows and comforter provides the utmost in comfort. Reading lamps are provided over brass headboard. This bedroom has its own satellite T.V., wireless internet, air conditioner, table and chairs and separate access to the private bath, all in addition to the adjoining sitting room.Our accommodations have private baths. The Suite bath follows the Tuscan decor with tiling throughout. It offers easy accessed raised toilet and a walk in shower as well as a large shelving unit for your convenience. Amenities provided.
 The Garden View bath offers a tub and shower unit in addition to cherry shelving and cherry flooring. Amenities provided.
    It never ceases to be amazing; the breath- taking beauty of winter at Stone Rose. In the quiet of the season we'll make a long winter fun for you.
