Aunt Louise's Lake House Bed and Breakfast

The place was very comfortable, and our hosts were very inviting, friendly and accommodating. The place was clean, neat and gorgeous. We very much enjoyed our stay and plan to return in the future.

If your looking for a quiet getaway in a great atmosphere, this is the spot. We visited for a V-day getaway with another couple and couldn't have been more pleased with our stay. Aunt Louise and Dale tended to everything to keep us comfortable and are fantastic chef's. The meals were perfect and a great way to begin each day. Looking forward to doing it again soon.

This was our first stay at Aunt Louise's and our second overnighter in Skaneatelas. We have visted on previous occasions and are familiar with the area. Aunt Louise's is a very quaint and charming Inn and although our stay was short, Louise and Dale were very friendly and made us feel at home. We arrived Friday evening and due to family committments had to leave well before breakfast on Sunday (Dale made sure that the coffee was ready for us). Our breakfast with the other guests on Saturday was enjoyable. The Inn is a few miles outside of town and the grounds are lovely. There was a great view of the lake from our room ("Treetops") across the road. The bathroom was large, but as with most B&B's we've stayed at could use some additional counterspace for toiletries. Would like to stay here in the warmer months in order to enjoy all it has to offer.

Very nice people and a cozy house

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent 4 night stay at Aunt Louise's Lake House. Louise and Dale prepared and served fabulous breakfasts and were the warmest of hosts, making us feel right at home.

My wife and I spent two days at Aunt Louise's and had a really great time. Our hosts were exremely gracious and accomodating. Breakfast was superb and the coffee, oh the coffee! The next time we plan to stay in Skaneateles we will definitely be giving Aunt Louise a call. Dave & Karen Costello

Louise and Dale are absolutely wonderful hosts and treated both my wife and I as honored house guests. Their home is very comfortable and the accommodations the same. Breakfast was delightful...Louise takes great pride in her cuisine and quite frankly, we enjoyed our single night stay immensely. Would highly recommend.

As the title say this is just what my girlfriend and I wanted. A small quaint B&B with wonderful hosts. Louise and Dale were extremely friendly and made us feel at home as soon as we arrived. Chatting with the other guests on the back patio was a great treat as well as sitting on the front porch rocking chairs looking at Skaneateles Lake right across the street,

Aunt Louise's was very enjoyable for us. The room was very accomodating and clean. We also had a private bathroom with both a shower and bathtub. The view was great overlooking Skaneateles Lake! The hosts were pleasantly gracious and service met our needs. They even explained the history of the house.

the stay was wonderful and warm. They had great amenities not found in the finest hotel. They had great rooms and the decor was wonderful. A plus stay, the owners get a 5 star rating.

We were warmly greeted by Louise and Dave in their home overlooking the lake. Skaneateles is a nice little town with many neat and unique shops. The B&B is a short drive down the east side of the lake, so it is convenient. Breakfast was delicious, and special dietary needs were considered. Great folks, good value.

Louise & Dale made us very comfortable in the Sunrise Room. We stayed two nights and had a great time checking out the local area. Louise & Dale had a superb knowledge of the town and what it had to offer; including directing us to sumptuous meals at Rosalie's Cuicina & The Sherwood Inn, a sight seeing cruise on the lake and the local winery. When we arrived we were greeted at the door and provided with all the information about the town we needed. The room (tree tops) was fantastic. Good WiFi also. The breakfast was perfect. Great Stay!

This was our first visit to a B&B. We loved it. The owners are friendly, helpful and professional. Breakfast was unique and very good. We enjoyed breadfast conversation with interesting people. We would have never encountered such interesting people if we stayed at a hotel. Thank You, Aunt Louise!!!

What a delightful way to have a get away. We had a wonderful time scouting out the village. Took a 50 min boat tour around the lake which was also very enjoyable. The highlight would have to be the special attention Louise, Dale(and Allie) showed us. Breakfast both mornings was outstanding...and we especially enjoyed the special "mamosa" toast Louise and Dale made to acknowledge our 30th anniversary....we came away with the feeling that we had made new friends, with the hopes that our paths will cross again in the fall...Thanks again Louise and Dale

Aunt Louise's was very charming. Louise couldn't do enough for you and was very attentive especially when it came to meal restrictions. We stayed in the larger room with it's own bath (Lake View). However, the view was across the street and minimal. The room was very comfortable but didn't have enough places for you to put your own things. I would have liked to see a shelf or table in the bathroom for our cosmetics instead of the small chair in the corner. The grounds were beautiful with lots of cozy places to sit and look at the lake across the street. It was about a 10 minute ride into the town.

Aunt Louise's Lake House B&B is in a perfect location with a beautiful view of the Skaneateles River. The yard is gorgeous with blooming flowers and the home warm and inviting. Dale and Louise are wonderful hosts and made us feel right at home. We very much enjoyed our conversations with them. The breakfast was terrific. The broiled grapefruit was "to die for", plus delicious waffles and yummy cranberry bread.

We enjoyed the stay and the hospitality. it was great!!! was a little disappointed by the fact that it is on the other side of the road, far from the water

My wife and I enjoyed several days of time "away from it all" and would highly recommend this location to anyone interested in a pleasant stay in Skaneateles.

We recently stayed at Aunt Louise's bed and breakfast in Skaneateles. The property is very quaint and charming, the hosts Louise and Dale are wonderful people and the area is extremely picturesque. They not only made us feel welcome, but did everything possible to make the trip an extremely enjoyable experience. We had 3 young kids in the group, and not once did we feel that they were not welcome. Each morning Louise, Dale and Ally took a lot of trouble to cater to all our individual needs and put out a new treat for the kids. Thank you for taking such good care of us, we would highly recommend this property, for people with or without kids in the group. We shall definitely be back soon.

We stayed here the first time because we were in the area. Ever since, we purposely drive the 6 hours just to stay here! The personal and professional caliber of our innkeepers is consistently excellent. "Aunt" Louise and dale will be seeing more of the Clearys.

Found this place to be a wonderful get away. We had a terrific time. Dale and Louise were the perfect hosts. Gave good advice on where to eat and what to do. The house is charming and beautiful. The breakfasts were delicious and more than we expected. We plan on staying again in the future.

Lakefront views and style without lakefront prices! Very good value for the money and we'll certainly visit again. Dale and Louise were fabulous hosts and have a lovely, charming home that was warm and inviting.

Dale and Louise were perfect hosts, made us feel most comfortable, and served the most wonderful breakfasts we've ever had. Particularly loved the baked pears drizzled in raspberry sauce and the coddled eggs. They also lit a fire in the fireplace for us each day, which made it especiallyu cozy. You definitely won't walk away hungry. The innkeepers served very generous portions, and quality of the breakfast was top-notch. They were very accommodating to special dietary needs. Although the rooms weren't particularly memorable, they were comfortable. Make sure to bring your own toiletries. Only soap was provided for guests. We liked the location. The views of the lake were magnificent, and the drive into town was scenic.

We really enjoyed our stay at Aunt Louise's. Dale and Louise were charming and run a delightful establishment. The location and the village of Skaneateles are lovely and we would love to have spent more time there.

Such a peaceful and serene B&B. Dale and Louise are so gracious and always make you feel right at home. This place has a very cozy feel with great access to downtown, local orchards and winery. You will enjoy your stay through all the seasons ~

Our stay at Aunt Louise's was wonderful. Delightful accommodations, superlative hosts, delicious gourmet breakfasts in the gorgeous surroundings of Skaneateles Lake. Our hosts out did themselves when following a storm that knocked out the power in the surrounding area they proceeded to cook our breakfast on their BBQ. The innkeepers were very, very nice and accommodating. Lake View room was large, but the bathroom was very small. Tiny TV, noisy air conditioner, no amenities to speak of. Pictures on the web are a little deceiving. Grounds are lovely, but nowhere to go without a car.

Recently stayed at Aunt Louise's Bed & Breakfast in Skaneateles, NY. It is 4 miles out of town and sits directly on a very heavy, high traffic road. 3 rooms in the Inn, only one is rentable. Our room was small, dormer ceilings, small, inadequate bathroom. Breakfast was ok, but heavy on sugar and calories. People nice however don't seem to be experienced B&B owners. On a scale of 1 to 5 I would give this a 2.....very pricey. You can see the lake from front of house however it is across the highway...this is not a lake front property, picture is very deceiving.

We had a great time and plan on making Aunt Louise's Lake House a place that we visit on a frequent basis...the rooms, the breakfast, the innkeepers were just amazing...we can't say enough good things about this B&B

We stayed in the LakeView Suite. The room was very nice, and had a great view of the lake. Louise and Dale were extremely friendly, and helpful, and prepared an elegant breakfast. Overall, for the price, hospitality, and location this BB is a winner, and future spot for us again.

This was a wonderful find. The guest sitting room held a welcoming fire and our hosts were very gracious.

Our first visit to Aunt Louise's Lake House B&B was a great experience on a warm September weekend in 2009, that we decided to visit again in March,2011. We stayed at the B&B with another couple and found the hospitality, comfort and charm just wonderful. The house offers a choice of spending time together with others by the fire or enjoying some R&R comfortably in the rooms. Great suggestions for places to visit and restaurants to eat at, were given the first time, that we booked some of them again on the next visit. Delicious breakfasts with other guests were so much fun, especially with the great service and sense of humor from our hosts Louise and Dale. See you again, soon !

The house is beautiful and the breakfast great. Overall, I would recommend this hotel. The cons: It is a little strange having the bathroom outside of the room (for the room we stayed in). Luckily we had no one else staying in the house but they wouldn't let us upgrade to a better room (with a bathroom) without paying the difference. I found that a bit annoying since no one else was there anyways.

We enjoyed our stay at this Lake House very much. The room was clean and comfortable, but the food was absolutely delicious! The innkeepers could not have been more gracious.

While on a whirl wind trip through the region, a friend recommended we stay at Aunt Louise's Lake House. We couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised. The house has a wonderful history overlooking one of the most beautiful lakes we've ever seen. The topper was their breakfast. It was outstanding! Not only a gourmet meal filled with unbelievable flavors and aromas, but the dining room setting was so very nice. We ate in a family setting with other guests and we all had a most pleasant experience. Like I said from the beginning, we wish we could have stayed longer!

"There is no place like home" however when you arrive you and are greeted by Dale and Louise, you are home. They are two wonderful people that are generous in their home. My wife and I spent 3 nights and enjoyed every moment. Breakfast was a first class treat. Every morning was a special time and very comfortable in the dining room. The location is a nice spot and the backyard is zen. We will return in the future.

Aunt Louise's Lake House was a great find. The proprietors were friendly and attentive to our needs. The room was lovely and the breakfasts were plentiful and plentifully delicious.

Everything about this trip was peaceful and calm. From the way we were treated to the time we left. Beautiful veiw of the lake, and flower gardens at the inn. Definitely going to plan a return trip. Beacause of the most gracious host. Aunt Louise and Dale who made this trip.

The inn was so comfortable and centrally located. The rural lakefront atmosphere was tranquil, the innkeepers were so kind and friendly, and the food was outstanding! I definitely recommend it to anyone!

This was my first B&B and I was treated with pure hospitality. There was always a roaring fire to sit in front of. An old time crawfoot bath tub awaited me at night. The breakfast was the most unique one I have ever had; from baked apples and grapefruit, to imported juices and coddled eggs. The views from the house were breathtaking.

This is the finest B&B this side of Heaven. The hand of friendship accompanied the gift of truly wonderful hospitality.

This B&B was great. The owners were friendly, room was beautiful, and overall atmosphere was very relaxing.

The B&B was beautifully decorated with wonderful antiques and the property is serene. The breakfast was delicious and specially prepared. Don't miss this experience. The owners are especially gracious.

Clean and pretty comfortable. Did not care for the sunrise room ... one small window, mostly filled up by a window air conditioner. I've stayed in a number of bed and breakfasts, and this one feels more like staying with relatives. Gardens are quite pretty ... the lake is viewed across the road and between the houses. The hosts are very nice and had great dining suggestions. Skaneateles is a pretty little town ... the downtown is not in walking distance of the B&B.

Welcoming innkeepers, immaculate guest room decor, ample common areas with room to relax. Lovely view down the sweeping lawns to the lake beyond.
